An interesting topic.
Depression is the number one cause of disability in the world. Sadly, many millions of sufferers are "treatment-resistant" and unable to find relief from traditional psychiatric medication. The cost of this mental health crisis in emotional pain, functional disability, and loss of life is immeasurable.
IV Ketamine Infusion Therapy helps TWO-THIRDS of treatment-resistant depression cases.
Well researched read
I'm very intrigued by this topic and this book did not disappoint. Mental health is a big issue one that we are still treating as a taboo subject. With so many different kind of medications like psilocybin and ketamine that are being used to treat these instead of people being on drugs the rest of their lives the information is priceless. The experiences are great to know about. If you or somebody you know is suffering from mental health and you're interested in different therapies this is a really good book to read.
I’m so glad that I read this book! I’ve suffered from depression from depression for 28 years and have been through every first line medicine, EEG, DNA test to determine what medications work on me, & therapy but this is the first I’ve ever heard of using IV Ketamine for treatment. This book spoke so much hope for me! I felt like I could relate so well with Dr. Macler! I’m not sure yet if there are any doctors in my area that would even consider this as a treatment plan for me because of the drug but, I plan on finding out. Every psychiatrist and therapist need this book! Thanks NetGalley for allowing me to read and review this book for my honest opinion!

I really wanted to love this book as its a topic very close to my heart. it's also a topic that really fascinates me.
However, it just didn't feel at all relevant - it focused more on the US and because I live in the UK, the majority of this book was not relevant in any way to me. A lot went over my head.
Didn't get anything from this book.
