Witches and a bisexual baker? I was intrigued.. but then early on it lost me. I finished it but almost gave up a few times. I don't read a lot of romance, or really any at all but when I saw it was about witches I thought I would give it a go but I think all I got out of it was confirmation to myself about why I don't read romance books. The writing was fine but the plot was bland and the characters are boring. The main characters, anyway. I was much more interested in learning more about the rest of the women in the coven than I was about the female MC, Danica. The male MC, Titus, is a cinnamon roll known for making cinnamon rolls. At first he came across as creepy and then he turned boring. The most exciting thing to happen was the arrival of a witch hunter but that quickly became just a backburner plot point. Maybe the plot was just underdeveloped. I get that this is just the first book in a series so maybe things were held back to be addressed at a later time but this first book didn't do anything for me so I will not be checking out any of the others.
One last note... Was this book sponsored by Nissan and Netflix? I think more than anything from this book I'll remember what car Titus drives (Nissan Leaf) and that everyone watches Netflix stuff like "Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga." So much product placement in such a quick read REALLY stood out.

Many thanks to the publisher for this audio ARC!
This book was very much a grown-up version of Sabrina the Teenage Witch, and I loved that! Danika and her cousin run an appliance repair shop (Fix It Witches); they live relatively quiet lives, focused on flying under the witch-hunter radar in the small town Midwest and meeting regularly with their bookclub/coven. Danika meets bisexual virgin baker Titus and sparks fly--literally--her powers go haywire at the extent of their connection.
Danika must deal with family pressure to not be involved with a non-witch "mundane" and risk losing her powers. Titus is dealing with his own family stuff, plus feelings of always having been abandoned in previous relationships. Magical powers were just a fun addition to a pretty believable tale of small-town crushes and family pressure.
Overall, I enjoyed this book a lot. I really loved the casual inclusivity of it (bisexual MC, 2 f/f couples as side characters, another bi side character) and how awesomely sex positive and not-cheesy the steamy scenes were.

This was such a cute book.. it focuses on Danica and Titus.. Danica and her cousin are witches and own a shop called fix it witches and they can fix anything. (With there magic.) But they can't like the mundane know they are witches. Titus owns a bakery shop and all the ladies in town think he's yummy as his baked goods. He is very awkward and doesn't always have the best luck in love. He goes into to fix it witches and sparks fly between the 2. The one problem is Danica can't date a mundane because of being a witch and after her mother married one her gram has made it her mission to get both girls set up with a good witch family.
Does Danica risk the wrath of her gram for at least a fling nothing more? or is there more to there story then a fling?
I loved this story it was cute and funny and loved both of there family dynamics both are such good characters and I can't wait to read about the gang in the next book.
The book ended with still a lot of issues that needed solved but I just know they will be touched on in the next book and how ever many books are in this series.
I listened to the audio and I really enjoyed the narration and i had a lot of LOL moments. That I thought the audio brought to the story. I can't wait for the next book.
Thank to NetGalley and Sourcebooks Casablanca for sharing this digital audio reviewer copy with me in exchange for my honest review.

What a great witchy read to kickoff the Fall season!
According to Danica's Gram, dating a human/mundane would be the ultimate betrayal to their long line of Waterhouse witches. So what happens when the mundane baker from down the block calls Danica, who co-owns "Fix-It Witches", to come and fix his broken oven? Sparks fly.
Witch Please was such a cute insta-attraction, insta-love, romcom. I really liked how it's the guy this time that really wants to find someone to spend the rest of his life with and she's just looking for a fling. Their banter is off the charts, hilarious.
Thank you Dreamscape, Sourcebooks Casablanca, Netgalley and for the audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

4.5 stars rounded up
A fun, witchy romance with a bisexual, virgin baker and forbidden love between a quirky fix-it witch and this mundane cinnamon roll hero. (who also happens to bake delicious cinnamon rolls)
This was really cute and funny with several steamy scenes to boot. I really enjoyed the characters and how they came together. Danica is a witch trained by her bigoted grandmother, taught that if she marries a mundane like her mother did, she will lose her magic. Titus is hot and nice, but has had TERRIBLE luck with relationships and feels awkward about it. But the chemistry between these two is electric and they just can't resist.
Definitely recommend this and I would happily read more! I love the casual diversity throughout the book, how Danica is chill about Titus being bi... I also might have squealed at the mention of a book by Tasha Suri because she's amazing and so are her books! Had a great time with this and the audiobook is fantastic. Gets the right vibe and brings the characters to life. I received an audio review copy of this book from NetGalley. All opinions are my own.

3.5 stars
This book started out good, I liked learning about Danica's witchy family and job as well as Titus's bakery. I liked both main characters at first, Danica was pretty sassy and fun and Titus was just the perfect guy.
I liked Danica throughout. She kept her character, she was loyal to her family and she was just overall a fun character. Titus however got a little weird. Some of the things he said I could just never picture anyone saying to anyone else and his inner voice was just weird almost to the point of creepy. I think my favorite character was Danica's cousin Clem. She was a spitfire.
The plot was ok, I liked Danica and Titus coming together despite Danica being a witch who is not supposed to fall in love with a human according to her grandmother because it would cause her to lose her magic. That is what happened to her mom. Their romance was really cute at first, they didn't take it fast because for Danica it was basically supposed to be a rebound fling. And then they did take it fast and there were sooo many cringy sex scenes and I did not enjoy them at all. One would have been ok, but there were so many! And they were so explicit, but not in a good way (this is personal, I don't like a ton of these scenes in my books).
Going back to Danica's family, she has been living with her grandmother who has told her all her life that she can't marry a human or she would lose her powers because their family is cursed. This is what happened to her mother. Why Danica never just asked her mother what happened is beyond me and would have answered a lot of her questions before she herself fell in love with a human and terrified she would lose her powers.
There was one twist at the end I really didn't see coming, but it was just kind of like...oh, not like WOW.
Overall I really did like the book in general. There was a lot of family issues, but also a lot of family loyalty with both Danica and Titus which I really liked. It looks like the sequel/companion novel is about Clem which I would be interested to read since she was my favorite character.

First off, I loved the small town vibes; perfect for the fall season.
I loved Danica and Titus as characters and I felt I could understand their motivations throughout the book. However, I did find Titus a little creepy in concerns to his inner monolouge involving Danica. For example, he said at one point, "If I get Danica pregrant, I'm going to marry her." I know the author was trying to sound romantic, but it wasn't well executed.
It also felt a tad repetitive with the author claiming Danica and Titus had chemistry; this was probably mentioned in the first half more than I would've liked. Show me, don't just tell me they have chemistry. With that being said, I really did feel the chemistry from them. The sex scenes were pretty steamy and explicit; which I loved. Though I could've done without some of the dirty talk.
Overall, this was super entertaining and cute as hex (pun intended). I do plan on reading the next book in the series once it comes out.
I recieived an audio-galley from NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

Danica Waterhouse owns Fix It Witches, a tech and appliance repair shop with her cousin Clementine. The secret to their success is they actually are witches with a knack for tech repair. Titus Winnaker, owner of the local bakery, hires Danica to fix his oven. Sparks fly, literally, when they meet, causing a juicer to spray pineapple juice all over Danica, but she accepts the job anyway. Even though she made a non dating pack with Clem, Danica accepts Titus’ invitation out. Dating a mundane puts Danica’s powers at risk, so she breaks thing off, appeasing Clem, but leaving both Danica and Titus miserable.
Witch, Please is a modern paranormal romantic comedy full of laughs and a few tears. I love the smart, witty dialogue and inclusion of current social issues. Humorous, entertaining, quick read!

Danica Waterhouse is a modern witch living in her family home with her cousin Clementine. Danica and Clem also run Fix-It Witches, an electronic repair shop. Their magic responds to technology and they use magic rather than manpower to repair the items.
The cousins were raised as sisters and their grandmother wholeheartedly disapproves of the girls dating a mundane -- even though both of their mothers are currently married to men from non-witch lines. Gram tells the girls that they will lose their powers if they fall for a regular guy.
Both cousins naturally are drawn to normal guys -- Danica to a baker named Titus and Clem to a mundane I won't identify because spoilers! Clem's story leaves room for book number two in the series.
Titus is head over heels for Danica at first sight, immediately telling his sister that she is the woman he will one day marry. Danica is just looking for a fling after a bad breakup where her ex ended up marrying a mutual friend. They don't share their approaches to the relationship, which leads to tension and problems that must be ironed out before their happily ever after.
Ava Lucas' narration fits the story. I wish there were two narrators -- Ava as Danica and another male narrator to read Titus' chapters.
Recommended for fans of light-hearted contemporary romance. Fans of the Sookie Stackhouse series or other contemporary fantasy readers who don't mind romance will also enjoy this novel.

As much as I liked the premise of this book I felt it was just a bit too discombobulated.
I personally felt there were too many cliches sprinkled throughout the story to make it enjoyable.
I didn't enjoy the aspect of magic in the running of a female repair shop and I didn't like the reversed role of Titus just wanting a real relationship that leads to kids- lots of kids ASAP.
I hate not liking it as much as I hoped I would... I so wanted to like it. I just felt there were was too much going on and nonsensical.

Thank you NetGalley for sending me this audio book for review.
Goodreads says that Witch, Please! is...
Practical Magic meets Gilmore Girls in this adorable witchy rom-com with:
• A bisexual virgin baker with a curse
• A witch looking to avoid romantic entanglements
• And a chemistry between them that causes literal sparks
This summary alone was enough for me to jump on this book. Plus that adorable cover.
Things I enjoyed about this book...
- The small town setting
- The clever quips from all the characters
- Witchy vibes
- The family relationships
- the narrator
Things I didn't enjoy as much about this book...
- Titus as the main male character. I tried so hard to like him but there was just something off about him that I wasn't sold on.
- The insta love was on steroids. Like, I am all for insta love if its done right but this was on like page 2! It was just a bit much for me.
- while I was excited to see a male character as bi in this book, it felt kind of forced and not super authentic.
Overall it was a cute and enjoyable read and has a promise for this series.

This book is super cheesy, cutesy, and full of insta love. I couldn't connect to any of the characters and found myself not caring about what happened next. I stopped at 30%.

Witch Please by Ann Aguirre had more sizzle than a broken toaster brought in to be repaired by the Fix It Witches. This was a lovely romance with perfect witchy touches. Danica Waterhouse has a lot to juggle: a business she runs with her cousin, a neighbors clingy cat and a family curse that caused some major beef with her mom and grandma. Add to this an extra hot baker who suddenly can’t leave her alone and you’re in for a treat of an audiobook!

I was so excited to read this book since I first laid eyes on the cover! I was lucky enough to have been gifted a copy of the audiobook thanks to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media!
Witch Please is a paranormal romance with two people getting over past heartbreaks and who are cautious about falling in love again. Titus thinks hes cursed after some unconventional breakups and Danica is conflicted about finding someone to fit the secret life she lives as a witch. When their paths cross, the attraction between them is instant and there starts the road to falling in love.
This was the perfect read to welcome in September and the fall season! The witchy and magic vibes were everything I want during this time of year. This was my first contemporary romance featuring a witch and honestly I was scared that it was going to be too confusing and paranormal but it was not at all.
It was very easy to get into and I loved that it got into the romance right away! They were so cute and it was refreshing to see that it was Titus that was the more shy and swooned character. I also loved the fact that it was VERY inclusive and open.
Also the way their witch family and background was described was very easy to keep up with and not confusing at all, everything that would happen would pretty much be very realistic lol
The only part of this that would upset me was how unsupportive Danica’s cousin Clem was with her. I would have loved to see them be a lot closer that what was described, as cousins who grew up together and now live with each other and have a business together, I would have hoped for a more loving and supportive relationship between them but I felt like most of their interactions were very forgetful or frustrating. She should have been a stronger support system for her.
Other than that, I flew right through this book! I cant wait to add this cute cover to my romance bookshelf!

This was one was tricky. I did NOT think I would be able to finish when I was about half through, but I’m glad I did. I felt like we were dropped in the middle of the story. It took quite awhile until I stopped wondering what I missed. Thankfully, it even out towards the end and turned into a good story. I think book 2 will be even better and I look forward to reading it! The narrator was a great addition and her voice fit the story well!
DISCLAIMER: I received this book free from NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

Witch Please by Ann Aguirre
Paranormal romance / romantic comedy.
Danica is a witch that can fix machines with her powers. She knows her Grandmother will not allow Danica to have a relationship with a mundane but Titus is irresistibly charming. They make literal sparks with a simple hand touch. Danica appeals to a higher power to give her strength to walk away from Titus and for him to not to be heartbroken. But the two are drawn to each other as if by magic.
I loved the banter and charm of this book. Titus is adorable and his history of heartbreak makes you want to help him find his true love. I hated the manipulation of the Grandmother and won’t share any spoilers but am happy with the resolution.
Titus says he is bisexual and tells Danica about a past crush with a boy but he is also a virgin so that side of the story feels a little incomplete. The sex scenes between Danica and Titus are steamy and satisfying and also a bit on the light and humorous side.
The neighbor cat repeatedly visiting and allergic reaction were delightful.
My only complaint was the rather abrupt ending. Happy for now with the intention of forever.
🎧 I listened to an audiobook which was narrated by Ava Lucas. The narrator did a good job with voice variations and expressions of emotion. Speed of 1.0 felt like it was dragging and much slower than regular conversation so I listened mostly at 1.25 which is about the norm for me. There was a distinct male / female difference in the performance which helped visualize the characters as the story progressed.
Excerpt:
“She leaned forward over the counter, proping her chin on her hands. “How interesting. Would you care to tell me why?”
“Would you care to tell me your name?” He suspected it was too soon to declare he had decided to marry her and was already christening their babies in his brain. Two at least. No more than five. He had to act fast before his curse kicked in.”

I received a copy of the audiobook from NetGalley, Sourcebooks and Dreamscape Media. I also purchased a copy to share with my romance loving friends.

Fun, sexy fall read full speed ahead!
Witch Please by Ann Aguirre was exactly as expected--a sultry and charming, modern witch love story and I enjoyed every spark, spell, and sweet morsel of the love connection between Danica Waterhouse, a witch looking to avoid Mundanes (non-magic folk), and Titus Winnaker, the owner of Sugar Daddy’s bakery.
Yum Yum.

This is the first book by this author I have read. I found this story charming. Modern witches in a small town community. LGBTQ positive plot line with 2 lesbian couples, a gay flirting moment that was treated just like any other flirting moment I’ve ever read and a Hero who is bi and completely unaware of his many many amazing qualities and shear hotness even though everyone in the community fawns over him while buying baked goods.
There is family drama, a sisterhood of supportive ladies and one of the most adorable dogs I have ever read about named Doris which I just love that name.
While this a light fun romantic comedy witchy paranormal romance with definite steam it also covers completely relatable ground addressing the nature of new romance when it’s almost alarming how right it feels.
This book made me laugh out loud and also truly feel for the characters through their struggles. The sound quality of the recording and the narration were excellent.
5/5 Greatly enjoyed this one.

Witch Please is the first book in the new Fix-It Witches series by Ann Aguirre. This is the first book I have read by the author and I am hooked!
Witch Please checked all the boxes for me: wonderfully funny, quirky characters, strong female lead, magic, hot guy who bakes, appropriate use of profanity and definitely NSFW steamy romance! This book has an incredible story filled with wonderful, relatable characters!
I absolutely loved this book! It made me feel all the feels! I felt like I was on an emotional rollercoaster with these incredible characters because I was so invested!
I can't wait to see what comes next in the series with Boss Witch, which is scheduled for a 2022 publication.
The narration by Ava Lucas was incredible. She has this awesome rasp to her voice that works for so many of the characters! I loved listening to her bring this story to life.
I'm so grateful to Ann Aguirre, Dreamscape Media, and NetGalley for providing me with a free copy of this ARC audiobook in exchange for my honest review.

This was a fun story! I loved that witches have to keep themselves hidden, and yet they have these jobs that fit in with their witchy powers. The main characters were fun. I enjoyed their banter and chemistry. There were some relationships I didn't enjoy between side characters, but overall, this was an adorable story!
