This one was okay. The basic premise was fine, and I liked some of the characters. However, some of the writing wasn’t amazing (was even a bit cringe-worthy at certain points), and a few of the characters just weren’t quite believable. It was a fun enough experience, and I laughed a couple times, but it also wasn’t amazing.

This bewitched me!
A charming romance about a modern witch and a baker. Danica and Titus were too adorable for words! Seeing them crush on each other in the beginning and watching their relationship blossom kept a smile on my face.
I was really reminded of Bewitched with the relationship drama between a witch and a mundane, and all the shenanigans that come with that. The humor was reminiscent of Gilmore Girls (witty and sweet).
The audiobook is just as good. The narrator does different voices for each character and it’s delightful!
I would definitely give Witch Please two thumbs up.

Witch Romance is my new favorite genre. This book was funny, warm, exciting, and sweep you off your feet swoony. I am already excited for book 2 which is set to publish in March of 2022!! (Yay!!)

The author did a great job at world building such believable and creative concepts about the witch world. The comedic timing and the hilarious situations were so on point that I could hardly put this book down.

Danika Waterhouse and Titus Winnaker had chemistry coming off them in waves but how and if they got to expend their excess energy on each other was a great story. I got major Bewitched or I Dream of Genie vibes off some of the situations but in a very modern, updated, believable, and perfect way.

I appreciated that the author wrote so much diversity into the cast from including bisexuality in the main character to multiple gay and lesbian couples. BUT something that really hit home with me was bigotry in a side character. Another thing that the author kinda snuck in there was the current health crisis not by name but by mentioning certain other things. All of these non-romance topics added to the overall depth and complexity of this book elevating it to something worth reading again and again.

The narrator did an excellent job of making this story come to life!

This book was cute. I loved the small town witchy handy gal vibe and the baker. Their banter was fun and fresh, and the underlying premise was good. -the witch heroine fears losing her magic if she falls in love with the "mundane" (no magic) cinnamon roll (literally & figuratively) baker. And the hero is definitely a cinnamon roll, he's a baker, he's emotional, he's a great big brother and he's still a virgin in his 30s (unheard of in books nowadays).

There is however, quite a bit of conflict in this book from the heroine and her cousin, to the heroine and her grandma, to the hero and his dad. And I feel like some of the conflict was resolved but others weren't. The heroine basically tells off her grandma with a few chapters to go till the end, but there's no resolution between the two, the book ends as if the feud is still active. There's also a side story of a witch hunter coming to town to hunt the heroine, but the coven assigns the cousin to find him and instead they start hooking up, but then there's no really conclusion there either (I'm guessing it's the premise for the next book). I just felt like this book left a lot of loose ends.

I also felt like the main characters could have communicated better. The heroine's flight across the country was definitely grand gesture territory, but wouldn't have been needed if they just communicated. The same thing about communicating about her magic and his virginity, they didn't even get to that until the very end of the book. I also feel like they only hinted at the baker's bisexuality and that more could have been done to highlight it.

Regarding the audiobook, I think the narrator did a great job, but that this story might have benefited from two narrators, one for the heroine and the other for the hero, I think it would have helped to define the audio story a little better.

Overall, I did enjoy the book, and will probably read the others if there's more in the series.

Thanks to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for the audiobook arc of Witch Please.

You guys, this book was soooooooo cute and I really loved it! Virgin, bisexual male who thinks he is cursed in love? Who then falls in love with a witch? YES PLEASE.

I loved having the male MC as a virgin, because honestly it never happens. If there is a virgin it is always the female MC, so it was so refreshing to see it done.

The banter between Danica and Titus was wonderful and the inner thoughts had me laughing out loud. Titus was probably my favorite character - I mean he bakes, enough said. Titus is the elusive man behind the local bakery and Danica is a witch who can fix anything. When his oven has issues he is told the Fix It Witches shop can fix anything. They meet and literal sparks fly! There are characters you will love and hate that make the story interesting.

The witch hunter plot was one area which didn’t really develop in the book and didn't feel needed, but based on the description of the next book in the series, I understand now why he was introduced. It is a romance series after all, so we are offered glimpses of what’s to come in the lineup.

While this book isn’t life-changing, it was very entertaining and enjoyable so I highly recommend you pick this up if you’re looking for a contemporary romance with some magic!

This was kind of a campy supernatural romcom about a witch who owns a Fix-it shop and a "mundane" bisexual virgin baker who is cursed in love. Danica is from a long line of witches and is committed to not getting into a relationship with any non magical men. Unfortunately the sparks literally fly when she meets Titus and despite her best efforts she just can't stay away.

Full of Gilmore Girls and Practical magic vibes, this was a quick open door romance, with lots of dysfunctional family drama and some entertaining witchy hijinks. Much thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for my ALC.

Thank you to NetGalley for an audiobook ARC in exchange for an honest review. I’m a sucker for witches and a romance involving a witch? SOLD! I LOVED every minute of this book.

I LOVE that Titus is not only a virgin but also bisexual, which is so refreshing to read as I’ve never encountered a book that has the male as a virgin. Titus bakes AND reads romance books?! Yes. Yes. Yes!!!

Danica can’t be with a mundane or she will lose her magic. She struggles with trying to keep things casual Titus and has to decide is he worth losing her magic?

I loved the dynamic between Danica and Titus. They had instant chemistry where sparks actually fly and they had witty banter! I also really enjoyed Titus’ inner dialogue. Also, don’t let the cover fool you, there are steamy scenes in this book.

I loved that this book gave me some Bewitched vibes. There were many times where I laughed out loud. This is such a great book and I can’t wait for Book 2 with Danica’s cousin Clementine and the witch hunter who came to town! A witch and a witch hunter relationship! Heck ya! Give it to me!!

I loved this book So Much. I’m a little surprised at some of the reviews. It was absolutely a cheesy cutesy rom-com but I’m not sure why the cover, description and title would make anyone expect anything else. It was way steamier than I expected too which is always a plus in my book. I couldn’t stop listening to it. And the narrator was fantastic. I hope there’s a sequel, maybe starring Clem? I’m wishing it into existence.

Thank you NetGalley, author and publisher for the arc in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

Witch Please is a contemporary sexy and fun romance with a paranormal twist. Danica is an appliance repair shop owner of Fix It Witches and Titus Winnaker is the owner of Sugar Daddy’s bakery and together they have the chemistry of soul mates. After failed relationships, they both are protecting their hearts and Danica has to keep her witch heritage a secret. A little danger comes into play when a witch hunter comes on the scene – I wish this part had been resolved but it looks like it was a set for the next books. I was given the audiobook to review and the narration was performed really well. It was lighthearted and fun. Overall, a super sexy and fun romance with a bit of a witchy added bonus. Looking forward to book 2!

Thanks to Netgalley and Dreamscape Media for the ARC Audiobook in exchange for my honest review.

Narration: as always the narrator for this Dreamscape audio book was awesome. Great voice and great at distinguishing between characters.

Unfortunately the narration was the only good thing. The story was not good and I ended up DNFing this book. It had so much promise but the witches weren’t used well and the romance lacked so much. Not for me.

⭐️ Star. DNFed this book.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was a cute little romcom perfect for October. The only thing I would change is the narrator’s voice.

This book is just painful to get through. The writing is clunky. The characters are incredibly one-dimensional. I just feel like this entire book is a caricature.

Thank you, Net Galley and Dreamscape Media for this ARC, and in return, I am submitting my unbiased and voluntary review.

I had the audiobook version of this and I think that made it even more enjoyable. The narrator was pleasant and engaging. The voices were believable and conveyed emotion.

The book started off strong and I was sure it would be one of my favorites. . The whole premise of the book was very funny and light-hearted. I enjoyed how the traditional gender roles were switched (he is the baker and she is the fix-it lady). The shop names were super cute and the descriptions were really good. I could see it all in my mind's eye and was quickly pulled into the story.

Where it started to go downhill was the introduction of the witch hunter. I didn't really care for that part of the story. I'm also upset it's not resolved but I understand that will come in the next book which I am anxiously awaiting! In addition to the resolution of that situation, I'd also like to read more about the coven in the next book.

This was the first book I read in September to get me ready for the "witchy" Fall vibes and it was a good choice! This is the feel-good, spooky but not scary, clean, fun romance we all need these days!

I really wish I had enjoyed WITCH PLEASE, but to be honest, it annoyed me on multiple levels. Danika constantly frets about the possibility of dating a mundane (non-magical) person, but never actually is seriously worried about it as the author tries to get us to think. Titus is the epitome of a pick-me boy, who decides that he is going to MARRY Danika after a 15-minute meeting and a few bad puns exchanged. All the while, there are small humorous moments placed to supplement the lacking plot and I can see no real conflict, no real reason to assume that there will be a plot in the actual definition of the word.

Witch Please by Ann Aguirre is a great contemporary/paranormal romance that is the first book in the new series: Fix-It Witches.

I listened to the audiobook version that was narrated by Ava Lucas.

I really enjoyed this unique and sassy novel. It had a nice pace, witty and sassy banter, and I enjoyed the witches/paranormal aspect that was added to the traditional contemporary romance theme.

I enjoyed Clem and Danica and their family and backstory. There is definitely plenty of material presented to be used for future books.

This book set the tone for future novels and added in the world-building and foundations needed to understand the current characters and situations.

The plot had added interest with the introduction of the love interest for Danica in the form of Titus, the “mundane” baker down the street and the issues that he was dealing with respectively. Definite chemistry there, for sure.

I enjoyed this fresh spin on the contemporary romance genre and also feel that the narrator did a great job in adding to the experience.

This was a cute story. I enjoyed it. However, I probably wouldn't read it again. The storyline and the characters were rather predictable from the beginning.

A huge thanks to NetGalley for the audiobook!

I found this to be a cute romance with a touch paranormal elements. The story's female lead is a witch that lives in a world that does not believe in witches, and she begins a relationship with Titus, a mundane baker. The book has multiple steamy scenes and some family drama. Everything was quite enjoyable and this was a entertaining and quick read. However, I wish that the whole magical element was more thoroughly explored (hopefully the author will do so in the sequel).

Witch Please by Ann Aguirre is the first book in the author’s Fix-it Witches series. It’s a cute, funny, steamy, and delightful book about love, and family, and witches.

Danica Waterhouse is a witch, and she is co-owner of the Fix-it Witches repair shop where she and her sister Clemantine (Clem) fix just about anything using their inherited powers. Her weekly book club is actually a coven meeting where she meets up with her family of witches. They call normal humans mundanes, and they are forbidden by their grandmother to date mundanes and instead must use a special witch dating app. Danica’s mother married a mundane and the repercussions have left a feud in the family.

Titus Winnaker owns Sugar Daddy’s bakery and has been unlucky in love and in his life. He shares a house with his sister Mara. His father has remarried after only a few months after his mother died and Titus is angry that his father didn’t mourn his mother as he has. When he meets Danica, it’s an instant attraction on his side, but he’s constantly worried she will break up with him as all his other girlfriends have. And for Danica, she’s attracted to Titus, but she knows that she’ll lose her powers and cause her family’s feud to worsen if she pursues him.

Witch Please is a fun, romantic comedy that is light, and just a bit steamy. The story is about a family of witches but the author gives us enough information to make this family believable. The small-town setting and the cast of side characters (some will have their own books soon, I’m sure) make the book just a delight to read (or listen to).

The narrator, Ava Lucas was very good and she was able to give each character their own voice so you could easily distinguish who was talking, and her overall voice was soothing and light.
If you need a fun, light read about witches, this is the book for you. I received a complimentary copy of this book. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Well this was super cute (and a bit steamier than I head anticipated!!)! This book has such a fun premise: our heroine is a witch, who owns a local repair shop, and she meets a (bisexual) local baker in town who is the biggest cinnamon roll (and he actually bakes cinnamon rolls that the heroine loves!!). They meet and the attraction is instantaneous and the story develops from there. I really enjoyed both our MCs and the side characters were also great. It was fairly light-hearted and just overall enjoyable read.

While this was such a fun, quick, sweet, and steamy read - I did feel that there were a few random plot points added to the story that were not flushed out well. I do expect them to carry over into the next book, but it was just clear they were there to create conflict and then nothing really happened with them.

Rating 3.5 stars!

Themes:
* Witches in real life setting
* Super sweet male main character
* Forbidden relationship between witch and mundane

Feelings:
Titus meets Danica at Danica’s repair shop where she performs spells on appliances in order to fix them. Titus owns a popular bakery in town and has little experience with relationships. Danica loves the chemistry between her and Titus but she is afraid of her grandmother’s wrath which forbids witches to have relationships with mundane stuff.

This premise was set up for me to love. The synopsis said Practical Magic meets Gilmore Girls and I was sold. Unfortunately, it did not live up to the expectation. I thought these characters were set up nicely but I just could not get into it. The writing felt very immature for being categorized as an Adult Romance book. The comedy and one-liners throughout the story were just coming off as cheesy rather than funny. I wish I could have enjoyed this because the narration was really great. The only problem with the narration that I had was that it was difficult to decipher between what was dialogue and what were thoughts.

I would definitely give this author another chance but this story was just not for me.
