A sweet, clean story of Magdelena, who is deeply in love with Toby, even though his family is not as financially stable as hers. He works hard and looks forward to the day he is financially able to court her properly. Unfortunately, a new family moves in, and befriends Magdelena's family. Their son Zach set his sites on Magdelena. Both her family and his arrange a marriage between them, regardless of what she wants. They mostly ignore everything she has to say about it, until she has had enough and she leaves the area altogether. Soon they realize she really does love Toby, and it takes a neighbor's interference to change their minds before they will accept Toby. Great story I enjoyed!

This book deserves 10 stars!!! Molly Jebber did a wonderful job with this book. The story was well-written with plenty of suspense. I could not put the book down.

Magdelena loves her beloved Toby, but her parents reject him because of his financial position. They try to force Zach, a newcomer who shows a great love for her father's business, to marry Magdelena. Zach is overbearing and arrogant and demands Magdelena marry him. Who will yield? Will Magdelena's parents accept Toby? Or will Magdelena be forced into a loveless marriage?

Complete opposites. That describes the characters Magdelena and Toby. Magdelena comes from a wealthy and chooses to work because she enjoys it-not because she has to. Toby is from a poor family and has to work to support the family because his father is sick. The story teaches about forgiveness, patience, faith and the author, Molly Jebber, does a good job intertwining these attributes within the storyline. I finished the book within 3 days, which is good for me because I am usually busy doing other things.

I was given a copy of this book from NetGalley and the publisher for my honest review and opinion.

Very well written and inviting. Magdelena's Choice was such a pleasure to read. Can't wait for more.

Synopsis: As the daughter of a wealthy rancher, Magdelena Beachy may not truly need her job at the Amish Charm Bakery, but she enjoys tending to customers, be they neighbors or curious Englischers. Only one thing would make life sweeter, and that’s if Toby Schlabach would court her. It’s not just his dimples and smile that warm Magdelena’s heart—she admires his kindness and values. Yet she worries their chance may slip away . . .

A nice romance between Magdelena and Toby. He is poor and is struggling with a dying father, so must help run the farm. She works in the bakery more for fun, since her family is stable. A good story, but did drag a bit for me in the middle. Would still recommend this one, as it was worth the read.
