Game on by Janet Evanovich is the 28th book in the Stephanie Plum series. Diesel is back and they are hunting the same fugitive. Are they working together or is this a competition, Plum does not know yet but it will be a ride to find out.
I have not read a Stephanie Plum book in years (I think I read into the teens). I forgot how funny this world was. This was pure enjoyment and I felt like I was fine having a vague background to read and understand everything going on.
Four stars for being a pure joy to read.
Thank you to NetGalley, Atria Books, and Janet Evanovich for the free copy. This was an honest review.

Even after 28 books of the same mishaps, I still can't help myself and will always be part of the Stephanie Plum fan club. In Game On: Tempting Twenty-Eight, I get the sense that although Stephanie is still having her issues being a bounty hunter, she is growing up and dare I say maturing. There's still the element of fun and surprise, especially when Lula and Grandma Mazur are involved. As long as these continue to be written, I will faithfully read along.

I've read many books by Janet Evanovich and have enjoyed them all. This one was no different. Her books are faced pace and easy to read. Great characters that are easy to root for. I highly recommend this book.

I've read maybe the first six books in the series, so I was excited to return to the world of Stephanie Plum, but slightly more modern! In this book, Stephanie is hunting a creepy hacker who is also hunting her. Some may be disappointed that Morelli and Ranger don't play huge roles, but it was refreshing for me. I haven't read one of these in a few years at least, so I enjoyed spending time with Lula and Grandma even if it wasn't quite as funny as the beginning of the series. I will still be reading the next one!

I got out of the habit of reading the Stephanie Plum series. This is book 28 and I'm glad I picked it up. It made me remember everything I loved about Janet Evanovich books. The cast of characters is pretty much intact and it was fun to revisit all the exciting males in Stephanie's life. The books keeps the plot current in today's world with the bail jumper as a computer hacker with national implications. An enjoyable read with old friends. I received a copy of this ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.

Well another adventure for Stephanie. Diesel was in this one. Things are getting very routine in this series. Although Lula and Grandma Mazur were not as funny in this one. Scenes with them can be hilarious, but not in this one.

This series just never gets old. It gets better and better. Game On is a great addition with more of Stephanie’s adventures. I got a chuckle or two while reading this.
Many thanks to Atria Books and to NetGalley for providing me with a galley in exchange for my honest opinion.

these books are so dumb but for some reason I keep reading them. Stephanie and Lulu hunt down a computer geek. Stephanie still finds herself torn between Joe and Ranger. Stephanie destroys yet another car.

If you have never read a Stephanie Plum novel, you should! They are funny, upbeat, and irreverent and will keep you entertained from the very first sentence. Who is Stephanie Plum you ask? Well, she is a sassy bond enforcement agent for her sleazy cousin Vinnie’s bail bond business in Trenton, New Jersey. She is in one scape after or another, but is always rescued by her police detective boyfriend, Joe Morelli, or hunky fellow bondsman and security expert, Ranger. She gets help from a hooker named Lula, and her Grandma Mazur, who is always on top of the latest Burg gossip in this wildly successful series. Author Janet Evanovich’s books are so popular, in fact, that the initial print run on #28 was 1 million copies. Evanovich is in top form on this one. It’s madcap, twisty, and just plain fun. You can easily read one of her fast-paced novels in a day or two. 4.5 stars.

Game On + Stephanie Plum always a 5 star for me!!! Love Stephanie Plum and crew!! Read all 28 books & can’t wait for 28 more.

Stephanie Plum is on the hunt for an international computer hacker - Oswald Wednesday. Stephanie is not the most technology proficient sleuth and she's probably going to need some help.
One night Stephanie is awakened in the middle of the night when she hears footsteps in her apartment. Her gun is not in the bedroom, and Stephanie isn't sure how she'll fend off an intruder. Fortunately, she won't have to - the late night visitor turns out to be Diesel, a fellow agent. And if there's going to be a man wandering in to Stephanie's apartment in the middle of the night, "over six feet of gorgeous, hard-muscled, slightly tanned male" is the way to go.
Diesel and Stephanie have shared a flirtatious relationship for years. He's been gone for a few years now and Stephanie is in a relationship with Joe Morelli. Letting Diesel stay in her apartment (sometimes in her bed!) will certainly test her relationship with Joe. But Stephanie's biggest probably with Diesel may not be romance. It turns out that Diesel is on the trail of the same criminal. Will Stephanie and Diesel work together to bring Oswald in, or will Diesel be using Stephanie's contacts and information to swoop in and grab Oswald, and the reward, at the last second?
I'm relatively new to the Stephanie Plum series and frankly I'm generally unclear on her personal relationships. I get the sense that she is, too.
Like so many good books, what makes this work is more than just a solid mystery adventure. The characters in and around Stephanie's life and work are absolute gems. In many cases the characters are borderline caricatures, but Evanovich works it with a deft hand and keeps it real and very, very entertaining. I think Stephanie's grandmother is one of the best minor characters in modern literature.
While I may not understand the different relationships in Stephanie's life, it's quite possible that this is precisely what will keep bringing me back to reading more and more of the books. It doesn't hurt that the mystery and chase are thrilling as well.
Looking for a good book? Game On by Janet Evanovich is the 28th book in the Stephanie Plum series. If the fact that the series has twenty-eight books isn't enough to make you want to see why the series has such longevity, then check it out and enjoy some really great characters in a detective setting.
I received a digital copy of this book from the publisher, through Netgalley, in exchange for an honest review.

What a great read! This is my first introduction to Stefanie Plum, Lula, Diesel and Moretti. There is clearly a lot I am missing about the history between all of these characters, but I was not the least bit lost. This is a fast paced story with relatable quirky characters. I look forward to reading the rest of the books in this series.
Many thanks to Net Galley, Janet Evanovich and Atria Books for providing me with an ARC of this book.

Thanks to Netgalley, Atria publishing and Janet Evanovich for this ARC. I never miss a Janet Evanovich book ! Even after 28 Stephanie Plum books, she continues to write a great story. Not all authors can or have done that. This book was just as funny and spot on to the characters that still confuse and amuse me. A slight mention of a the new character, Gabriela Rose , was just right to introduce us to a new series. So looking forward to that . Pretty much always a 5 star from me.

If you are a fan of Evanovich’s character Diesel, then yay for you as he teams up with Stephanie in this installment. I haven’t read too much of Diesel’s stories to understand his character, but I found myself enjoying this story more than I thought I would. Stephanie and Diesel team up to find Oswald Wednesday, a dangerous hacker turned psycho killer.
It was nice to see Morelli is called her boyfriend in this book and there’s talk that maybe Stephanie should grow up. Refreshing! Even better, she doesn’t cheat in this book so that’s a plus too.
The book has many of the same antics as every Plum novel does, but it wouldn’t be a Plum novel otherwise. I enjoyed the Baked Potatoes as well and hope we see more of Melvin and Charlotte!
Overall, I am surprised how much I enjoyed this book. If you are a longtime Stephanie Plum reader, I think you will like this.
Thanks to the publisher for a review copy via NetGalley.

Loved this book. As much as I enjoy Stephanie and Lula, it was great seeing Diesel again. Diesel just adds another element of mystery to the storyline. I miss reads his series. As usual there are plenty of laugh out loud moments especially with the luck Lula seems to be having. The mystery is well crafted with plenty of twists and turns. A must read for fans of the series.
All thoughts and opinions are my own, and in no way have I been influenced by anyone.

Gus is still alive, Stephanie can still fit into her jeans, and she's still on/off with Morelli. When I started reading Stephanie Plum, I didn't have kids. Now, I have teenagers. Yes, the plots are the same but it's like Stephanie's car trouble....predictable, but funny! I still want the good cookies at the funeral home and Grandma Mazur's Buick......bucket of chicken and a donut with Lula and all is well.

Stephanie is back with the whole crew teaming up to help her find FTAs who aren't thrilled with the idea of going back to jail. In addition to the "minor" offenders (the homeless man who roasts ducks in the park and the overwhelmed mom who shot up the bakery because she needed a Boston Creme), Stephanie is on the hunt for the dangerous Oswald Wednesday, the cyber terrorist who has compromised a major international system. It turns out that Diesel has been sent to hunt Oswald down also.
There was more to this book and more to Stephanie than in previous titles. Honestly, for me, the Stephanie books were getting a little formulaic and starting to feel pretty much the same with only the FTAs changing names. I will always read the newest Stephanie book, but was starting to feel little disappointed. This one and the one prior have been turning points. I like how Stephanie is starting to question her life and take stock of herself. I like how she starts looking for hobbies and is truly taking thinking through her relationship with Morelli. I also love how Evanovich finally got Mama Plum out of the kitchen! I would love to see this other side of Stephanie's mom - the one who could be very involved in helping Stephanie take down the next bad guy.

GREAT BOOK!
Thank you so much!
I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE Janet Evanovich!

I received an ARC of this novel from Atria books via Netgalley in exchange for my review. What can I say? By the time you have written twenty-eight books about the same characters, you would think there would be nothing left to write about-but you would be wrong! I have read all of the Stephanie Plum novels and I never get sick of the characters and they never fail to crack me up! I guess there is no shortage of criminals so there should never come a day where the Stephanie Plum novels will go away. If you have never read one, I do suggest starting at the beginning and just enjoy them all!

This series had a little dip for me in the teens, but the twenties have been amazing! I can always count on Stephanie Plum to make me smile, and for Joe and Ranger to keep things interesting. I loved seeing Diesel again too - a welcome blast from the past. I look forward to more crazy capers in the Stphanie Plum universe!
