I'm happy to report that this installment brought back what I feel is a better silly/funny to obnoxious ratio. Unfortunately, while hijinks abound, there isn't any mystery, or anything to think about at all, really.

I absolutely love the Stephanie Plum series and was excited to get a copy of this early. I absolutely loved it. So much. If you're a fan of the series, I would definitely recommend this book.

This book is back to the early Stephanie Plum books I so enjoyed!!! There is more of a who done it storyline in this new book, that several recent books in this series has been lacking. Stephanie teams up with Diesel in this book to catch a hacker named Oswald. Oswald has been hacked by a group of hackers calling themselves the Hot Potatoes. Now Oswald is killing them in retaliation , with the body count going up can Stephanie and Diesel stop him before he kills them all. Read this book to find out!!! I really enjoyed this new adventure of Stephanie and the gang, hoping Mrs. Evanovich keeps this series going in this direction as I really loved the early Plum books!!! I highly recommend this book to everyone!!!
I received an ARC from Netgalley, in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

I used to love reading the exploits of Stephanie and Lula, Ranger and Morelli, but the storyline got tired a long time ago. Game On, book 28, is just more of the same. It used to be funny, but now I don't even crack a smile. Is it me or is it time to retire these characters or have them grow? Staying the same just doesn't cut it any longer.

Once again, Stephanie is pursuing the FTA's, those whose failure to appear in court means that she has to hunt them down and bring them in. Accompanied by her usual sidekick Lula, they cause more mayhem than the ones they are out to apprehend. This time Diesel, a character from other books by this author, joins them as they all fall into the traps set by the bad guy O.W. who is out to destroy the world. Mysterious Wulf also appears here, though I really don't know why.

Storyline is too tired, so thank you NetGalley for an advance reader copy in exchange for an honest opinion, but this is the end of the line for me as far as Stephanie and crew are concerned.

Your classic Stephanie Plum novel! There’s Ranger, Diesel and Joe Molinari all seeking Steph’s attention while trying to keep her alive at the same time. This time she encounters an international criminal that has skipped on his bond so it’s up to Stephanie to bring him in…. If it were the old west, it would be dead or alive. Thanks to NetGalley for the early read!

Bounty hunter Stephanie Plum takes us on another wild ride to apprehend not one, but three bail jumpers. Involved in the hunt are her chums and sometimes lovers, Diesel, Morelli, and Ranger. All four have their own reasons for wanting to capture cyber hacker, Oswald Wednesday, a particularly evil person. I was eager to read the latest installment by Janet Evanovich, and I was not disappointed. Lula's bad juju left me laughing out loud. For a fast read and escape from reality, I would highly recommend this book.

Stephanie Plum experiences more ups and downs than a roller coaster! Lulu adds some craziness to the ride! I've been a long time follower and enjoyed this ride also. Reading this is like putting on a favorite pair of gloves that fit just right. You know your going to settle in for an enjoyable read. Kudos Janet! Thanks #netgalley and #AtriaBooks for the eARC in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are mine.

Still not as good as the beginning of the series but a lot better than the last few. This series has about run its course

Stephanie Plum is at it again! As a long time reader of this series, I really enjoyed it. For me reading the series is like watching a favorite TV series or talking with some old friends. I love the adventure Stephanie and her friends get into and I can't wait to read the next.

Thank you Netgalley and the publishers for the eARC.

4 Stars!! I know a new reader might be questioning my rating as well as anyone who is familiar that I am stingy with stars! But I am a looong time ‘Bounty Hunter’ fan ~and totally loved this!
Wait a minute why would a new reader start a series at #28??? Okay perhaps someone!

This is my 45th Janet Evanovich novel and yep read all the Stephanie Plum stories. I am a fan!!
Typically her novels were laugh out loud. I can remember listening to an audiobook in my car and I had to pull to the side of the road until I could stop laughing.
Have to admit I was ready for this series to end. I wasn’t thrilled with the last few I read. The humor just was not nearly as clever as in the original numbers.

I figure some marketing expert suggest that nasty language is the way to go to target a younger
audience.
Hmmm ~ as a HS Guidance Counselor and someone who took a lot of psychology classes but never took
a marketing class I questioned ~ Why would you want to lose your fan base when the series is in the
twenties?????

However, when I read “Fortune and Glory” #27 I wasn’t expecting to like it but ~ It was fun, so thought okay one more!

In this story Stephanie and Lulu are on a bounty hunt for Oswald Wednesday. It turn out that Diesel (you probably remember him from his series) is also looking for him as he is an International Computer hacker who has murdered other computer people.
Diesel teams up, however, is a bit nervous as Stephanie has never been known for her computer skills.
Yep! Diesel is in for an education!!

I loved that all my favs were back in this story ~ no nasty language but fun craziness ~ when the Blue 1953 Buick made an appearance, I did a fist pump and cheered out loud!

Want to thank NetGalley and Atria Books for this eGalley. This file has been made available to me before publication in an early form for an honest professional review.
Publishing Release Date scheduled for November 2, 2021

This latest installment of the Stephanie Plum series had some laugh out loud moments, but overall the series is showing its age. I did enjoy Game On, and read it quickly, but it’s not nearly as captivating as earlier installments. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC.

I have read all of the Stephanie Plum books and will admit that her humor as gotten me through some dark days. Game On is much of the same although Stephanie seems to have decided to stick with Joe Morelli instead of jumping between him and Ranger. This book even has Diesel return to help Stephanie out but she does not succumb to his advances. I appreciated that Stephanie was able to make a couple plans that worked and she didn't seem completely inept.

Lula is still Lula, tight skirts and all and, of course, there are cars blown up. Wouldn't be a Stephanie Plum book without her car blowing up and her having to drive the big blue tank of a car.

Although I love the characters in this series I feel pretty strongly that Stephanie still comes across as a bumbling idiot when trying to apprehend her clients. After so many years and 28 books, I would like to see her grow more. There may be hope on the horizon since she seems to be sticking with Joe and she did help when plans to catch a murderer.

Stephanie hears a strange person moving around her apartment in the middle of the night. Once again, she wishes she had her gun nearby. Stephanie discovers it is Diesel lurking around, but that doesn’t make her feel any better. Now Stephanie and Diesel are trying to catch the same fugitive, Oswald Wednesday. Diesel has mad apprehension skills on his side, but Stephanie has luck and a whole cohort of friends with their own odd skillset. Will either person be able to catch Oswald? What crazy and dangerous situations will Stephanie get herself into this time?

Game On is the twenty-eighth Stephanie Plum novel. I am surprised every time I read a new book in this series. Stephanie is not the only loveable character. I’m laughing throughout the entire story as various people do crazy things. Evanovich expanded on “the Burg” world and gave readers a whole new experience. Game On is not a deep read, but that isn’t what devout fans want. We want an escape from our ho-hum life and that is what this book gives us.

Thank you to NetGalley and Atria books for the ARC! Stephanie and Lula are at it again. Action packed! Full of car explosions, car chases, murder and mayhem. Will Stephanie and Lula survive these latest escapades? The author also sneakily introduced a new character for a new series in this book. Will definitely check out the new series.

I enjoyed this book, just not something I’ll purchase for my high school library. This series was starting to get a little stale and predictable. This story was predictable but far more enjoyable compared to the last few books in the series. I’m very curious to see how much longer this series can go on for.

Janet Evanovich rip roaring escape reading Stephanie Plum series keeps getting better each book. Evanovich keeps getting Plum into more ridiculous situations then ever before. Just read the first chapter and you’ll know what I mean. Great fun reading much in the way Hiaason does his comedy of errors.

Going on adventures with Stephanie is always a good time. Fans of this series will find all of our old friends- Grandma, Lula, etc. My favorite new characters were the two hackers who seemed to find a perfect match in each other!

I have voluntarily read and reviewed a copy of this title given to me via NetGalley. This book was just amazing. I just lost myself in this story and didn’t want it to end. It was really well written and just drew in you into these characters lives. I look forward to seeing what’s next from this author.

Game On is the latest installment of Janet Evanovich’s Stephanie Plum series. In this 28th book of the series, Stephanie, an inept bounty hunter, is in pursuit of an insane and dangerous computer hacker. As is typical of this series, it is fast-paced with plenty of action and humor. Fans of the series will not be disappointed as all of their favorite characters are present and as wacky as ever. This is a quick and entertaining read.

I have read this entire series and it has always been a favorite. However, in recent years, I have not enjoyed them as much. Game On was an exception. It is not as good as her early ones, but it is moving in the right direction. That being said, I will always read the latest Stephanie Plum book.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for providing me with an advanced review copy in exchange for an honest review.

This is another glorious romp with Stephanie Plum, Lula , Ranger, Diesel and Morelli against a mastermind hacker who plans something dire and diabolical. Some amateur hackers manage to hack into his servers thinking their "hero" will be impressed by their abilities but someone places ransomware on his server and messes up his diabolical plan. Being the brilliant and insane hacker person that he is he seeks to find these "hackers" and torture and kill them. Stephanie is trying to capture him because he got caught breaking and entering into the wrong house - Vinnie posted his bail and he missed his court date. Diesel is trying to catch him for a far more important reason. All the gang bumbles around the problem in their usual style. Will they get their man?????
This was a fun read, I thoroughly enjoyed it!
