I received an advanced reader's copy of Expecting the SEAL's Baby by Katie Knight and Leslie North from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
Overall, I felt this was a solid novel and I found it to be well written. The plot was engaging and the pacing moved swiftly. I appreciated how nicely crafted the main characters were, but do wish there had been more of a look back into the long friendship/attraction between Jeremy and Gina.
This novel was a bit predictable, but was a quick, fun read.
The suspense in this story was edge of the seat. Gina is a strong female lead. Jeremy is a Navy Seal, yet he's a sensitive man when it comes to Gina and the baby. I liked that part of him best.
I love military romance novels, and this one did not disappoint at all. Had some steam, romance, love and action.
Someone has betrayed Jeremy's SEAL team, and his best friend has been taken and Jeremy forced to resign from the SEALS. Upon arrival back in the states, he gets a visit from Gina, Blakes sister, wanting to know where her brother is and how she can get him back. There has always been chemistry between them, but Jeremy would never cross the line with Gina because of Blake. But, when the two work together to save Blake, their attraction just gets too strong. When she finds out they are going to be parents, can they each get past their pasts to have a future together?
Loved the story.
