How lovely to receive another Hillary Green story. I have read every book in this series and they never disappoint. Great plot, great characters and plenty of suspense.

Even if you've never read any of this author's work, you can't help but be impressed with this easily stand alone procedural. The due diligence alone on the ten year old clueless murder is impeccable. Add in Hilary Green's input on a recent pair of murders connected only by their method and I was absolutely glued to the page all day. Yes, it DOES live up to the hype!
I requested and received a free ebook copy from Joffe Books via NetGalley. Thank you!

Another good installment in the ex-DI Hillary Greene saga. Interesting and well written as always. Her cold review team are looking into a murder with a strange shaped weapon that is so far unidentified. Why is it always the nice ones that get murdered?

Really enjoyed it.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher I read a free advance review copy of the book. This review is voluntary, honest and my own oppinion.

Love this book. Great mystery, kept me reading all day.
Hillary Greene is working hard along with her colleagues Claire and Gareth to solve another cold case. This case is about the murder of Michael Beck. Michael was found in a river, thought to have been killed with a blunt force to his head. No lead or weapon was ever found. Hillary and her team start asking the right questions, and soon new information comes to light. Information not presented originally, and soon the pieces of the mystery start falling into place. Especially when this cold case starts intertwining with a recent double murder.
I love all these books, but this can be read as a standalone.
I received an advance copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

I was disappointed by the new Hillary Greene book by Faith Martin. And I was so looking forward to it. Don't get me wrong; it wasn't terrible but it had no depth to it. The identity of the murderer was obvious from way out (although I liked the dual time setting) and Hillary has gone flat as a character. I always worried about her lack of friends but now she seems to have no relationships at all. I'm not convinced that killing off Steven has worked. Apart from anything else, it seems to have diminished Hillary's personality. I hope there will be more books in the series and I hope that Hillary will become better rounded again.

Thank you #Netgalley for the advance reader copy of Murder Now and Then by Faith Martin in exchange for an honest review. Since retiring as a DI, Hillary Green now works as a civilian consultant solving cold cases. Hillary leads a small team working on unsolved murder cases. Superintendent Rolland Sale, head of Hillary's team, gets her a new case. It's about a young man, Michael, who was killed.
What a fantastic story. Now I want to read the whole series again! Faith Martin is a great writer. I read this book really quick.

Wao. Faith Martin is really good.
Former Detective Hillary Greene and hercold case team are taking a fresh look at the unsolved murder of Michael Beck, found bludgeoned over the head and dead in a river near his home in 2012.
Just twenty-two at the time, he’d recently finished a history degree and had his whole life ahead of him. Everyone said he was a pleasant sort of lad with a passion for the past, quietly living with his parents until he could afford a place of his own. But it quickly turned out that there were at least two people who might have wanted him dead. The first, his recently-jilted girlfriend Mia de Salle, hadn’t taken the break-up well. The second, his former tutor Dr Timothy Durning, had been accused of sexual harassment by Michael. But the original team could find no forensic evidence linking either of their prime suspects to the crime, nor witnesses placing them in the area when Michael was killed.
Thanks to NetGalley and Joffe books for giving me an advance copy.
