The narrator's voice fits Bryn's character beautifully. Also, various voices for various characters makes it engaging to listen. I loved this audio version so much. I love this book, and it was so much fun to read. If you like the sneaky, behind-the-back deals in Fable and Namesake, you'll love this book.

The Last Legacy is the story a Bryn as she returns to her estranged family. The story is mostly family drama with a little bit of enemies to lovers romance.

After reading more than one family drama this year, I think I've decided that I just don't care for family dramas. I found this story boring. Bryn is an okay character. No one else is spectacular. The romance in the book is tepid at best. There were zero sparks between these two. Moreover the ending had me like huh? I thought this was a standalone but the ending didn't make it sound that way at all. I don't like endings that just drop off.

This is my first book Young and while I enjoyed the storyline and the aspects of forbidden romance..I was still fairly bored throughout. The family Bryn returns to is awful from the very beginning. The situation is awkward and while I'm happy she finds a way to make the best of it I feel like we hardly get that before the story line moves on to something else. It just felt really incomplete. I was definitely missing the friendship part of this story and while the forbidden romance was nice, it wasn't quite enough for me.
