I liked where it was going and then I didn't. The plot and idea was unique and interesting but the execution couldn't keep my interest. There was something weirdly off-putting about this book.

Such a well written novel. I was seriously mind blown by this one, in the best possible way. The pacing of the book was excellent. I didn't feel like the slower parts were slow at all, it was such a great rollercoaster ride of suspense and character development. This book WILL NOT disappoint.

What a great psychological thriller! The story goes back and forth between the past and the present, dealing with Sara, her twin sister Cece, and Sara's boyfriend, Bradley. Cece goes missing and all fingers point to her twin sister, Sara. There ate so many twists and turns that you never see coming! I was on the edge of my seat! The ending will blow your mind! Such a great read!!

Woah..

When I tell you this book is going to blow your mind, I mean it. It's one well written psychological thriller full of unexpected twists that will surely keep you up to finish it. It was a bit slow at some parts but that didn't take away from the fun of reading it, if anything, it added more to the suspence.

This was my first book by the author and it certainly won't be my last.

Many thanks to @netgalley and @bookouture for this ARC in exchange for an honest review💕

The Guilty Sister by Arianne Richmonde is a psychological thriller. The story within this one is told by changing the point of view between the characters, mostly that of Sara and Bradley but there are also a couple of smaller viewpoints. It’s also one that starts at a point in time and then backtracks to an earlier timeline.

Sara has a twin sister, Cece, that instead of being like most twins Sara feels the girls are complete opposites. Mirror images of one another in looks the sisters couldn’t be further apart in personality with Cece being a social media star and Sara an introvert perfectly content in solitude. When Sara meets Bradley she can’t help but want to keep him to herself and to keep Cece from getting between them.

The Guilty Sister by Arianne Richmonde was an entertaining thriller that did have it’s share of twists and turns along the way. The characters were the type that weren’t necessarily likable but compelling in the sense of garnering suspicious and interest in their situation. This one had the original title of One Happy Family but then changed to The Guilty Sister but honestly I’m not a huge fan of that one either but it was a step past the first which made no sense. Regardless it’s a good read inside despite it’s identity crisis.

I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley.

Sara lives a quiet, almost reclusive life in New York. She is an artist so works from home, only venturing out to walk her 'handi-capable' dog Poppy. Bradley is a high flying executive with a string of broken hearts in his wake. The pair meet and begin a fledgling relationship but are both keeping secrets from the other?
The Guilty Sister is a psychological thriller about the secrets in a new relationship.
Sara is a twin and this has affected every aspect of her life. But now she has a chance to be herself, a whole, not part of a pair unless she chooses the relationship. And she chooses Bradley. He makes a huge effort with her but she is haunted by her past and her twin.
The book is written from Sara's first person perspective in the past (three months ago) and present, and Bradley in the third person in the past. There are also odd chapters from other perspectives to provide external opinions on the couple. We are drip-fed little snippets of Sara being interviewed by the police in the present day but are then left guessing about the relevance to events in the past.
There is mounting tension in the book as the two timelines edge closer together. I had suspicions about the secrets that Sara and Bradley are hiding but gradually found myself liking both of them and hoping for a happy ending: I won't tell you if they got one! They both have vulnerability which adds a depth to their flawed personalities so that readers can identify with them.
The plot and characters wind together wonderfully and I became immersed in their story very early on. It is the kind of book where your brain keeps rushing ahead trying to join the dots to complete the picture. I think the tension was successfully created and maintained throughout the book.
The Guilty Sister is an enjoyable thriller with two strong lead characters.

A tale of two sisters that's sure to be a roller-coaster ride.

Author Arianne Richmonde skillfully weaved together a psychological thriller, dropping bread crumbs along the way. Only the most skillful eye will be able to see the plot twist coming.

The Guilty Sister was fast-paced and absolutely thrilling. I found myself intensely gripping my kindle more than once giving myself white-knuckles as I devoured every sentence, word by word. This one's a page-turner, so settle in and prepare to read until the end.

THE GUILTY SISTER was full of surprising twists and turns. You will want to soak in everything until the very last page. Arianne Richmonde skillfully dropped hints throughout the chapters that will leave you guessing until the end.

Another "unreliable narrator" type book. I did guess the twist and the pace was slow at times but overall an easy and somewhat entertaining read.

The Guilty Sister stars Sara, who hid her sister from her boyfriend, not that she meant to. When her sister goes missing and Sara wished she would disappear, who is to blame?

The book starts off with Sara being questioned by the police, but it jumps around in time and perspective, mostly through the point of view from Sara and her boyfriend, Bradley. Everyone as a secret in this book and a past to go with it. As you learn what each character has went through and what they are hiding, you have to question if you can trust anyone.

I rate this book as 2.5🌟!

I'd like to say a huge thanks to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for an ARC of this novel in exchange for an honest review.

I cannot believe what I just read! Did I seriously just finish this already? Wooow! Although I very slightly predicted the ending somewhat, not to the magnitude revealed! And the emotions for every character I felt were so damn strong. I just lapped this up. Such a good mind-boggler! What revelations.

One twin is missing, and the other is being questioned by the police. Sara and Cece are identical twins but polar opposites. Cece is living her best life abroad while Sara is in her tiny NYC apartment having early nights, hanging with her dog and creating book covers. Sara's life changes when she meets Bradley, a Wallstreet worker. Sara decides to keep her twin hidden from him that way she can keep him and not have Cece move in on him. He ultimately finds out and then things start to twist and change.

This was a great psychological thriller for sure. The twists and turns keep you on your toes. I couldn't put it down. I wanted to keep reading to find out what would happen next. I've never read from this author but I definitely will be reading more from her in the future. Thank you NetGalley for allowing me to read this one!

A rollercoaster ride of a wonderful psychological thriller............................
The Guilty Sister by Arianne Richmonde, a psychological thriller with a mind blowing plot. The book is unputdownable and I was seriously hooked right from the beginning. You would not be able to guess the climax to the end which is a cherry on the top. Each and every page has a new twist which is really interesting. A perfect book for beginners who love psychological thrillers.

I would give 5 stars to the book for its climax, cover and plot. Thanks to Netgalley for providing me an opportunity to review the book.
