Every little lie is the story of Anna, her husband Seb and Evie her young daughter. Even though Seb isn't Evie's dad he loves her as his own. They have a loving family bubble until the day Anna starts to receive nasty messages threatening this unit. Anna has a secret she knows will destroy her life but so does Sam.
Seb knows who it is but daren't tell Anna. When things escalate they have no choice but to tell each other the truth no matter what the costs.
I really enjoyed this book. and was fast paced throughout.
'𝑨 𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒇𝒆𝒄𝒕 𝒎𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒊𝒔 𝒂𝒏 𝒊𝒍𝒍𝒖𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏.'
A fast-paced, compelling domestic thriller that knocked me out of the reading slump that I had been languishing in.
Ever since she could remember, Anna has wanted to be a mother. After years of disappointment, she finally has Evie, her precious four-year old daughter. Together with her loving husband Seb, they make the perfect family. Then comes the phone call that threatens their idyllic lives. While Anna always knew that her past would catch up with her, she isn't prepared for the sheer terror at the thought of losing her child. And when Evie is kidnapped, she knows that once again, she'll go to any lengths for her child.
I loved that the author doesn't wait to ease the reader into the story but rather throws in the suspense right off the bat, by starting the narrative from the kidnapper's POV. Add to this all the lies and secrets of the various characters and you just can't wait to know how the story further unravels. While the climax was pretty intense and anxiety-inducing, the denouement was a total downer.
This turned out to be one of those books where you love the plot, but hate the characters. IMO, they were all purely selfish and looking to save their own skin, even as they tried to justify their actions as 'love for Evie.' Anna's struggle with infertility, which many women can resonate with, was heartbreaking. While I wouldn't condone the kidnapper, I kind of understand and maybe even sympathise with their mindset. (Does that make me a bad person?). The fact that despite my dislike for the characters, I finished this book in half a day, says a lot about this author's writing style.
Overall, a tense and captivating read, but for the ending. Thanks to Netgalley and Bookouture for providing a digital copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.
Thank you Netgalley for my advanced readers copy of ‘Every Little Lie’
Judging by my most recent reviews of my NG shelf, it seems that I’m not doing well with the upcoming thrillers. This one just made me feel bored and I couldn’t connect with any of the characters. The writing just wasn’t for me and it was so long.
Thanks netgalley for letting me read an early copy of this book.
I must admit I guessed the ending.
Anna, Seb and Evie
Had a perfect life, they lived in an expensive house,Evie went to a great school, and Anna was very busy with fetes and making cakes as a perfect home maker.
Until Anna receives a phone call threatening her and Evie.
This then unravels their perfect life to a nightmare.
My Review:
Wow, wow, wow, what a jaw dropping read this was. I loved every minute of it. If you haven’t read this author yet I would highly recommend her. Her books are always a joy to read. I get so excited every time this author has a new book coming out. This book had it all. It had secrets, lies, drama and an unforgettable ending. What more can you ask for? Every character had something to hide. It was so fun seeing the characters unravel when the secrets finally start coming out little by little. I needed popcorn to go with the show. The only person I felt bad for was the little girl stuck in the middle of all the drama. She didn’t deserve it. I was praying by the end this little girl would get her happy ending. Speaking of the ending. It took me on a rollercoaster ride I never wanted to get off from. Loved it and love this author. I can’t wait for her next book. Thank you for such a wonderful book.
Lastly, the characters, plot, and the ending of this book made this an easy and fast read. I would definitely recommend this book and happily give it 4 Hearts❤️❤️❤️❤️
EVERY LITTLE LIE is a twisted thriller that will have you on the edge of your seat. Lesley Sanderson spins a story that will have you hug the child in your life a little tighter, because you never know who is capable of taking your loved one.
Anna lives with her husband and daughter in a very nice house and has a great life. She adores her daughter, Evie, and she would do anything for her. Their family enjoys closeness, and Anna volunteers frequently at Evie’s school. However, everyone has a past, and Anna and her husband, Seb, each have something they want to hide. Someone is watching them, and that person is ready to make them pay for every little lie they have told.
It was a good book. The start was a little slower, as the author had to show the reader the loving connections in the family, but the middle of the book speeds up, and the story is faster paced until the end. The twist is interesting, and I wonder if the author built the story around it, or if it came to her as she wrote or outlined.
Net Galley provided me with a copy of the book for my honest review. I recommend the book for experienced readers who enjoy suspense!
EVERY LITTLE LIE will be released on October 27, 2021. Be sure to check it out!

A good read.
This story is about Evie, a child who lives with her mom, Anna and stepdad, Seb but one day she's disappeared. Someone abducted her. Both Anna and Seb have their secrets but whose secrets are darker? Will Evie ever come home? What would Anna do to get back her daughter?
Read this novel to know more.
Told from four POV's of Anna, Seb, Josie and Evie, this novel will hold you until it's finished.
Although the abduction plot is used many times but still it's a good read.
What I Liked?:-
1 The narration. Which was simple and intresting.
2 Characters of Anna, Seb and Josie.
3 Anna's twist.
What I Don't Like?:-
1 I think there's no right to anyone in this world to snatch a child from their mother. Whether a mother is good or not, that's not give you the right to snatch a child.
Overall it's a good book only because of its narration and characters.
Thanks to NetGalley and Bookouture for giving me an advanced copy of this psychological thriller.

This is such a good book, it was twisty mysterious and suspenseful and I couldnt get enough. I was on the edge of my seat and at times felt like I couldnt breathe the imagery was so vivid. A rollercoaster that I didnt want to stop
Every Little Lie, by Lesley Sanderson, is full of secrets, lies, deception, and mistruths. In other words, it’s a bit of a wild ride! Anna is the mother of Evie, the daughter she desperately wanted. Seb, Anna’s husband, loves both Anna and Evie (his step-daughter) with all his heart. But when Anna receives a threatening phone call “You destroyed my life. Now I’m going to destroy yours,” she is confused, concerned, and a bit frightened. Seb believes he knows who has called (and continues to call) … and the story unravels from there. I found this a very engaging story with a number of twists and unexpected turns. The author writes in a very engaging and suspenseful way. However, just when I was wondering “okay, how is this going to end - how will it be resolved,” it was resolved … and I was both taken aback and a bit disappointed. It was a fine ending, but it came, to me, rather out of left field. There was one part I thought was repeated, but then realized that it was from two character’s viewpoint - so while it was a bit repeated it made sense. For me, this was a 3.5 star read, upped to a 4 star rating. If you like engaging and quick thriller reads, this would be a book to check out. I will note, my opinion is in the minority, so do read others reviews!
Every Little Lie by Lesley Sanderson is another massively addictive read from an author who never fails to deliver the goods.
Anna is a devoted mother to her daughter Evie, and is fiercely protective of her precious four year old. It is clear from the outset that something is fuelling Anna's paranoia when it comes to protecting her child, and when little Evie goes missing, it becomes a certainty that Anna is more than justified in her behaviour.
This is another read that you will devour in a single sitting, biting your nails to the quick as you race through the pages, trying to discover the truth of it all. 4.5 stars
Many thanks to NetGalley and Bookouture for an ARC.
This is a remarkable thriller that kept me on the edge of my seat until the last page. I couldn’t wait to find out what would happen and I was pleasantly surprised. I highly recommend this read.
Every little lie slowly surfaces in this tensely plotted thriller. Anna is a busy mother to four year old Evie and wonderful wife to Seb. The perfect little family looks golden from the outside until cracks in the foundation start showing the unsavory truth. A heavy pit will drop in your stomach early in this thrilling story as threats come from an unknown source, warning Anna's perfect life is about to be destroyed. Every page is tense, every characters' actions are fraught with danger as the eerie pit grows. We know sweet little Evie will get kidnapped but when and by whom?
Then the stellar kidnapping twists drops with a bang. Nothing in this story is as it seems. Everyone is lying and now must pay the price. Every Little Lie is a must read for any thriller lover!
Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.
This was quite a page turner and the plot line and characters quite believable. I really enjoyed it and devoured it one setting.
I could get how mental illness impacts on peoples attitudes so the story made sense - nothing I would do but made sense.
I was given an advance copy by the publishers and netgalley but the review is entirely my own.
It didn’t take me long to get to race through the book. I found this to be a superb read, which kept me guessing and which kept me on the edge of my seat throughout. Very good novelist.
Look forward to reading more by Lesley in the future! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Thank you Bookouture😘, NetGalley and Author for this advance ebook copy in return for an honest review!
I have read Our Little Secret and it was phenomenal! So knew this had to be great as well! And it sure was!
There are five books I haven't read but just added them to kindle buy list....😉
Every Little Lie by Lesley was just the thriller I was hoping to get lost in!
'You destroyed my life. Now I’m going to destroy yours.’ is not what Anna.want I to hear when she picked up her ringing phone!
This story is about family, lies, secrets and deception!
This compelling, character-driven novel is expertly crafted, heart-pounding, unputdownable, and gasp-worthy.
All the characters are deftly drawn ... warts and all. It's a real page turner leading to a surprising, unexpected ending.
Another wonderful read!
