Really for people who really are interesting in acting and breaking into acting. It was interesting but very narrowly focused.

Years ago, right out of acting school, I used myself to mirror the part I was playing and gave an absolutely boring performance, attested to by the review I got. Milton Justice's guidance could have saved me the embarrassment and I could have created an interesting character true to the story the playwright was trying to tell.

Over an impressive career as a teacher and director, Milton Justice has honed and refined his belief in what makes a great actor. Since 2008 he has used the written word via e-mail to help his students find their way. He has assembled them here to further illustrate his points.

Advice received from Stella Adler is peppered throughout the rambling treatise as are references to theatre professionals with whom he has worked over a long successful career. There are gems to be gained by reading this book but the audience is probably a small one. The names of plays and referenced actors may not be recognized by younger un-schooled actors.
