Thank you Netgalley for allowing me to read and review ‘Tilly The Tooting Turkey”. I thought this book was hysterical and the illustrations were beautiful. I don’t know a child who wouldn’t love this book.

A bit juvenile, but who doesn't have a giggle at a joke about laughing gas? Might get a chuckle from a kid, but I wouldn't use this in a classroom setting.

The next book in a collection of books about characters that toot (i.e. fart) is Tilly the Tooting Turkey. Young readers will love hearing the forbidden words (and sounds!) as their grown-up reads this silly story out loud. Purely a book that is just for fun, it also manages to remind readers that it's ok to be you, even if you do toot a lot. With a happy ending and cheerful story, this would be fun for gifting, and highly recommended for library shelves!

This book was funny to my grandson. I didn’t particularly enjoy it— but I didn’t really expect to relish a book whose sole plot was a turkey with gas. I will give the book a 5 star rating because he 5 years old) thought it was pretty funny. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

Tilly the turkey has an embarrassing problem, so Farmer Bo decides to keep her hidden away from the kids who are coming to his Thanksgiving petting zoo. But when Tilly's smelly secret is discovered, she turns out to be a big . . . blast. A cute silly story, with fun illustrations by Charlie Whitford. This is one of those books guaranteed to make kids squeal with delight while their parents cringe.

This was a cute Thanksgiving book about a tooting turkey named Tilly. Tilly tooted so much that she was put into her pen to stay put until her tummy was feeling better. Tilly was sad she had to be alone. However kids visiting the farm saw that the tooting Tilly was having was a funny sight to be seen. The kids thought it was funny when Tilly tooted and she went flying in the air. Tilly's tooting issue turned out to be a source of fun entertainment for all.

I received a free ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Not much of a story here. The pictures were good. I liked them a lot. I think kids will probably enjoy the book because it's gross, but I don't think it's one they will request to read over and over.

There is nothing cuter and funnier than this book about Tilly the Tooting Turkey. Both my five-year-old and husband enjoy it. Each time they read it, they get crazier and crazier. As long as you are okay with farting and flying, this book is hilarious.

Tilly The Tooting Turkey by Charlene Mackesy

Tilly The Tooting Turkey by Charlene Mackesy centers around a turkey named Tilly with digestive issues. Tilly has a powerful fart that actually lifts her into the air. At first, she thinks it funny. However, Farmer Bo is concerned that the children visiting the farm’s petting zoo shouldn’t see her farting. When the kids arrive, they find her farts hilarious and all ends well for Tilly and Farmer Bo.

My kids just find anything fart related hilarious, so this book would be an automatic hit in our house. The author uses lots of vocabulary and teaches kids lots of words to use to describe their farts. The book is written in a comic style and I even found myself chuckling as I read this to my kids. The illustrations were also funny. The first time Tilly’s fart lifted her in the air, my five year old son lost it. We will absolutely read this book. It would be especially fun during Thanksgiving.

I was invited to read an ARC of Tilly The Tooting Turkey, through Netgalley. All thoughts and opinions are mine. #TillyTheTootingTurkey #NetGalley

I requested a copy of this book to read since I am a preschool teacher, but I will not be reading it to my class because it wasn’t as funny as I’d hoped it would be.

Tilly the tooting turkey made me laugh out loud. I can hear kids giggling at this book, especially with the wet farts. Definitely a must get book for any classroom or for any young reader.

This is a cute picture book that will humor kids and adults. It could be the start of a new Thanksgiving tradition.

The concept behind Tilly the Tooting Turkey sounds like it would be a light, silly story. It just fell really short for my kids. The turkey covers her belly with her hand (cue large pause from my kids ending in an incredulous comment that the author isn't aware that that birds don't have hands). The book just felt disjointed, and my kids ended up asking to move on to a better book before we had ever finished it.
