I love mobster romances...I tend to stick to the Russian ones but this one sounded most appealing! And I was very happy I requested it. It had it all, compelling characters, mystery, Alpha-male, romance, steamy sex. Yeah I had a hard time putting it down. It was a pretty fast read, with good pacing. My first Eva Winner book and it won't be my last. Thanks for the preview.

This age gap, mafia romance was high on my list to read. Unfortunately this book did not work for me.

The beginning started off great and I was so intrigued by Brianna and her story, especially her daughter who is sick. Brianna starts working for mafia's legit business where Brianna catches the eye of Matteo, the mob boss. Matteo is almost 50 years old and no women has caught his attention like Brianna has.

Things escalate very quickly and to be honest, this is where it goes downhill for me. I kept holding out hope that the story would get better for me, but it never did. I always look for new authors to read and new mafia romances to recommend but this one didn't do it for me.

There was so much that happens in this book between the plot and the characters.

Vows of A Mobster is a standalone, age-gap romance with a mafia twist. Brianna, a 25yo single mother, needs health insurance for her 4yo daughter, who is battling leukemia for the 2nd time. She takes a job at a company that is run by the head of the mafia, though it is legal company. When she catches the eye of Mateo, the head of the family, their relationship escalates quickly. Brianna has a sordid past and worries that Mateo will find out.

There were so many things I loved about this story - the relationship between Mateo and Brianna is insta-love but seems legitimate and the connection was apparent. The storyline with her daughter Emma is heartbreaking. I also loved Brianna's friends. Everyone should aim for friendships like that.

A couple of things that I would change; The story regarding Emma's Father seems a bit convoluted and long. I would definitely make it shorter. I was also uncomfortable with the scene at the end with the voyeurism, only because they forced her young daughter to watch.

TW: childhood cancer and effects from chemo.

Dark and twisted. This book is perfect if you love growling men, sweet women and a bit of spice to the live life.

Age gap is something else...

Why did I decide to give this book 3,5 stars, I took the time to think about it.

Vows of a Mobster began strongly, this big mystery about why did they this. it was killing me I was so excited to know all the secrets and what was happening to our character to be in this situation. ( I did not even know it was our MFC)

The story went into time travel and my focus went flat too, why the author did this but I asked myself. We discover the characters and the MC. Brianna our FM is not into the mafia world she was brought to it and caught the eyes of Mateo. They got chemistry and a lot of hot scenes even the secondary characters, I was drunk of sex scene ladies too much for my sanity. Mateo was so into our girl he made me talk alone " He is really serious, are you ok mister" I laughed because Brianna and her long story is something but The phone sex, not my favorite scene. I adore Brianna, she read and write smut, she and her besties have their little book club and they are funny.

Mateo is the head of the family they all fear the guy, but even if mafia romance is my weakness, It was hard for me to read this one because I found it so soft like a powerful man who falls in love and he got a gun that all.

But you will maybe like this book with your preferred soft book, I enjoyed it even if it was not my cup of tea, I was expecting maybe too much and it went flat with me because I felt as if I was reading a romance with a lot of smut. I really would like Declan and Marisa's book, please.

So disappointing, i mainly signed up for romance, what i got is repetitive lust and steamy scenes, there weren't any character development, no communication, and most importantly no love story!!
What took 2 stars is the writing style, it was the only positive thing in the book.

This book had it all. Incredible backstory, disillusionment of love and relationships, and love winning out in the end. Couldn’t put the book down because it was so engrossing and wanted to know what happens next. Highly recommended!!

I very much enjoyed this book. It was pretty insta-love and the hero was fairly overbearing, but it worked well within the context of the story. I liked how the two mafia families worked it out in the end and it was the non-mafia people that were the real bad guys.

Thank to netgalley for giving me a eARC in exchange for a honest review.

I only wanted to read this book because it has Point shoes on the cover and I myself am a ballerina. And oh my god what was this a steamy romance. I know this story has a plot that did not solely surround the relationship but for the life of me I don’t know what it was about. all real men are ruined now because they will never live up to are amazing book boyfriends. This book really opened my eyes to some new genres to look into because I did not know I could enjoy a book like this so much.

This had a slow start but stick with it, it's worth it! The background was necessary to understand the story, and when it picks up, it delivers! I really enjoyed this read and will be looking for more from this author!

This book was not what I was expecting! I jumped at the chance to grab a Mafia Romance when it appeared in NetGalley and I am so glad I did. I have never heard of Eve Winners before but I will be keeping my eyes on her now.

This was a Standalone Mafia Romance. It was an Age-Gap, Single mom with a sick daughter. When Brianna needs insurance for her daughter's cancer treatments, her friend helps her out getting her a job with the family business. The legit side of the mob, but the mob none the less. When she catches the eye of Mateo, the head of the family… Things escalate very quickly. But Brianna has more than just a sick daughter on the line, she has a past the is quickly coming for her and Mateo may be the very person she needs to run from.

But he is NOT letting her go. I love this kind of possessive alpha and I was sucked into this story right from the jump. There were so many things involved that I love. He would also be so sweet when it was needed and he just wanted to care for Brianna and her little family however she would let him, and because he is a Boss, he doesn't give her a choice.

This also had a mystery aspect going and that was a fun part to unravel as well.

My biggest issue is I wish it was a trilogy, we get a peek at the romances of Brianna's friends, but I wanted them to have their own stories too, but it was also unique to have a standalone Mafia as that is so rare. Basically, this was a whole saga smooshed together and it did get a little long… But I'm telling you, I was so compelled, I didn't care.

This book was steamy, dangerous and a wild ride. I highly recommend!

I love Mafia Romance and this one didn't disappoint. The prologue was absolutely gripping and the plot was enthralling, full of steamy scenes and humorous banter. I particularly enjoyed the friendship between our female MC, Brianna and her besties, Marissa and Daphne. I did feel, however, that this book was a little slow at certain points and tried to cram too many things into one book--too many side relationships, etc. And could have cut a lot out to either put in follow up books or pick up the reading pace of this novel. All in all, a good read. Not terribly dark for a Mafia romance, but still very enjoyable.

Brianna and her two best friends Daphne and Marissa share a secret, one that could cost them their lives should it ever come to light. They've managed to keep it buried, continuing on with life and all the troubles it throws at them until Brianna finds herself swept up in a whole other world that had been safely tucked away from her, and it's all because of Mateo.

Vows of a Mobster took what we've come to expect from mafia romance and twisted things in the best way. Our already world weary heroine Brianna and the head of the Italia mafia Mateo have chemistry from the moment of their first meeting and the books duel POV gives us an insight into the thoughts and emotions of both parties. I really enjoyed Brianna's character, she was brave yet sensitive, and had to grow up fast as a young mother but didn't lose her cheeky and fun side. Then there's Mateo, some things he does are questionable. He is possessive and wildly jealous at times but also soft and adoring of Brianna and her daughter which we easily see when reading his POV. Another highlight was the pure love and unbreakable bond Brianna and her daughter Emma shared with Daphne and Marissa. They are the definition of ride or die friends and the trio had me feeling a myriad of emotions from laughing out loud at their antics to wiping away tears in more emotional parts.

And the plot! I went into this expecting to find a lack of plot and mostly spice but boy was I wrong. In saying that there was definitely no lack of spice here, for those who are after steamy scenes you'll get what you're looking for!! We start off dumped into the thick of things with absolutely no idea how we got there but as the story goes along more secrets are unveiled and slowly we piece together the puzzle. I especially enjoyed the way that characters discovered that their pasts were interwoven. And the secondary characters were just as amazing as our mains, I'll be honest it's made me hopeful some of them will get their own book down the track!

This book hooked me from the moment I began the first page so if you love mafia romance and are open to age gaps between characters then I urge you to give this one a try!

Excellent and enjoyable reading from Eva once again.
She caught my attention with her last series Russian Sinners, so this was a no brainier, I had to give it a go, I’m so glad I did.

Italian Mafia v Irish Mafia.
A great storyline
Wonderfully written
Extremely addictive
Awesome and intriguing characters
Is it dark and a little blood thirsty? Yes.
I need more very soon from this authors pen, I could read her books on drip feed.

Don’t let this one pass you by, I hope she brings out more soon and stays with the Mafia theme.

What a dark romance! I, however, quite enjoyed the friendship between the 3 girls, and what a heroine our Brianna is! The relationships were my favorite in this story. And it wasn't too dark, which I was pleasantly surprised. Definitely hope to see more!
