When we struggle with food issues there are almost always triggers behind that struggle. This book addresses both the struggle and the triggers without guilt but rather with hope.

Never before have I read a book related to food that actually gave me the desire to change and the awareness I needed to do so along with spiritual tools. The format of a chapter a day also helps it be something that is reinforced and not just a one and done. I highly recommend this book!

This book speaks to all the insecurities we have all experienced as Christians: food guilt, failing on diets, and all the triggers that show up along the way that make making lifestyle changes so hard. Amber lays out practical, Biblical advice to face all the triggers and insecurities and make changes for life. Just like so many of her other books, it all comes back to your relationship with Christ and she lays out simple daily instruction to bring you closer in your relationship with God and to help you make the changes you want to make. It’s encouraging, uplifting, and a truly new way to think about a Christian’s relationship with food.

I felt seen in this book 📚 and I was nodding my head so much.

This book tackled our relationship with food and how we can honour God with our eating habits. It's an honest take on overeating ,stress eating and why our relationship with diets can be detrimental. I highly enjoyed that the author shared stories from her own life about her struggles and what she did to get on track. I recommend it to anyone struggling with food .

I received a complimentary copy from the publisher and NetGalley and thus opinions expressed in this book are entirely my own

I am so excited about this book!!! Over these past couple of years I have been on a journey to improving myself. One of the things I have learned is that I have had an unhealthy relationship with food.  I’ve used it for entertainment, comfort, stress relief, instead of it’s intended purpose as fuel.  This book looks at many of the common triggers that cause us to overeat and gives great spiritual instruction and practical examples to help change those ingrained and destructive habits surrounding food.
One of the special things about this book is that the author has experience in this area.  She has been there and she shares her personal struggles and victories.  She also works to help others on their health journeys and shares their experiences as well. The book is filled with scriptures that are applicable to this topic, and each chapter ends with a prayer. Then, the last two chapters guide the reader on what to do when their goals have been met and how to maintain their healthy lifestyle. This book is such a sweet gem and was exactly what I was hoping for to help me along my weight loss journey.

Food Triggers by Amber Lia was a great book for me. I enjoyed how she broke the book into 30 small chapters to read one a day. The daily prayers alone would be a huge help to Christian wanting help with eating issues.

The book is divided into two sections: Internal and External food issues. And she addresses each one from a practical and Christian standpoint.

I truly enjoyed the book – admittedly I read over half of it in one day. My book study group is planning to read it together in January.

This book was informative and very helpful. I think it will help me with my junk food addiction, particularly chocolate. By understanding why I rely on them, I can better conquer them.

An amazing reminder of what I need to be doing to honour God with my body. Many principles I've been following for a number of years and was encouraged to be reminded. Our bodies are a holy temple and we need to treat them well.

I highly recommend this book, if you’re going through an unhealthy phase with food or someone closed to you is, this book will help you understand why this is happening and how to overcome it. It’s a Christian book but I believe anyone can read it!
