This is such a gorgeously heart-felt book. Rachael's honesty and gentle approach is so inspiring. Would recommend for anyone who wants to explore finding joy in times of hardship - which is basically everyone.
If you find yourself or someone you know struggling with darkness and mentally drained then this book is certainly worth a read. One of the best maps to help chart your way through darkness is that map written and designed by someone who has personal experience and can walk with and help you. This is one of those books and comes recommended.
I share with Rachael Newham a passion for lament and as a result I was keen to read her book "And Yet." However I found this a hard book to get into in part because I found it hard to connect with her experiences as a young mother. She was more descriptive than I expected about her pregnancy and how it taught her about Advent. Perhaps I struggled to resonate - particularly as someone who laments not having the opportunity to have children. I will try and keep reading but it was a hard start to the book.
