This was an ok book. Are there better potty books out there? Yes. Will a kid enjoy looking at this ? Probably once. Not a bad book to add to a library collection, but I don't think parents need to buy it for their home collection.

This book gives a gentle parenting style, gender neutral story about potty training (Many potty training books are focused towards either girls or boys). The main characters are brown skinned twins, a boy and a girl. It talks about the ups and downs about having accidents and being scared to try big kid underwear. Change can be scary but this book can be a good introduction to potty training.

Cute children's book! My kids really enjoyed this and liked the illustrations! A fun way to help teach kids to learn to use the potty.

Short read with great pictures, and exactly what it should be. Great for families beginning to potty train.

I received an electronic ARC from DK Publishers through NetGalley.
This book covers the normal fears about using the potty. Simple text is used to show how a brother and sister both learn to use the potty. Each has different concerns and the parents support them. Great book to have for families with toddlers starting this process.

This book provides useful instructions on how to use the potty. The book focuses on common fears that many children experience during toilet training. Things such as being afraid of the potty and not wanting to wear underpants. I will be purchasing this for our children's collection. This is a subject that numerous parents request.

Thank you to DK Publishing for letting me read an advance copy of this book!

As a white woman married to an Indian and Puerto Rican man with two daughters, I absolutely loved the family depicted in this book. Representation is so important and it thrills me to see a family like mine on the pages of a children book.

My potty training 3 year old has already had me read this a handful of times to her, and we both enjoyed it!

Time to Use the Potty is a great introduction for toddlers to potty training. It uses a simple story about boy-girl twins learning to use the potty and features adorable illustrations. I like that the book can be used for both girls and boys. I think toddlers will like this one and parents will find it useful.

Thank you DK and NetGalley for providing this ARC.

Thanks for this Arc!

As the mom of a toddler who refuses to potty train- I love all potty related books for kids! I read this with my son. I appreciate that they included a boy and girl character to appeal to all kids. I did find it a little competitive though. Peer pressure doesn’t always work especially for something like this. The book did have some good messages about trying something new, being scared and having accidents. I found the writing to be a bit scattered. I would have preferred the narration appeal directly to my toddler.
