An enjoyable read with lots of steamy stories that capture the imagination. I am giving my honest opinion via NetGalley in exchange for reading this book.

An enjoyable collection of erotic short stories by a myriad of talented authors. I really liked the originality and content of some, but found other stories a little lacking. This collection likely has something for everyone. Overall, an intriguing collection!
Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for providing this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This is a collection of stories about erotic situations or feelings that are all by famous authors who wrote on the condition of anonymity. The stories vary based on what each author wanted to write about. Some are truly erotica, others are very odd-it really runs the gamut of desires, feelings and situations.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC in return for my honest review.

Honestly, I thought this was going to be a lot better than it was. Many of the stories were just not all that erotic or entertaining.

There is probably a little bit of something for a lot of people in this book, and it certainly has a top-notch list of contributors.
The stories were all over the place, which is to be expected with the range of authors, but here for a few standouts for me:
History Lesson
En Suite
The Next Eleven Minutes (One of my top two)
Rapunzel, Rapunzel
Pearl River (Probably my fave- would read an entire book of this)
I Don't Miss You
Holo Boy, 2098
Interruptus
The best stories made this book worth it to me. I will say one other thing- there is a wide variety here, but the book does skew overwhelmingly hetero, and I do wish there had been a better mix.
Trying to match authors with stories is a fun gimmick, though!
Thanks to NetGalley and Scribner for the review copy!

This short story anthology is like no other. All of the stories center on the topic of sex, and all of them are written anonymously. A list of contributors is in the front, and you can have some fun guessing who wrote what. I imagine this was an assignment of a lifetime for these authors. All of us yearn to write from our deepest, most private selves, but who dares do this under your own name?
There's a huge variety in these stories. Some I loved, others seemed "meh" and lacked resolution. One story towards the front of the book appears to involve sex in some sort of mystical meta verse. There's something for everyone.
I thoroughly enjoyed many of the stories in this book and learned something from all of them.
Highly recommended.

Some of the stories were super cringe. Like you knew they weren't used to writing smut/sex scenes while others actually did a good job of being spicy with a good story. I wish I knew who wrote what!

Wow! What a read! This book is a collection of 27 erotic stories, each told by anonymous authors, which make the stories that much steamier! I wasn’t sure what to expect, but have to say I really enjoyed this and will definitely pick up more in this genre. This book is a perfect way for readers who are new to erotica to figure out if this is a genre your up for! Because this is a collection of short stories you are able to skip around if some stories don’t tickle your fancy. Enjoy!

Loved all the stories — very sexy! And fascinating at the same time.
Didn't realize that this was more than one story. What a great gift

Thank you to NetGalley for an ARC of Anonymous Sex.
I love erotic short stories and the fact that the reader does not know who wrote which story makes it even more alluring.
In many ways, this gave the author freedom to let their imaginations and inhibitions run wild!
The problem with short stories is you won't like all of them; if you're lucky you'll like some.
I only liked a few but what I did like about this collection is:
They're well written
Feature diverse characters
Different locales
Varying time periods
Sexy but not gratuitous

Really enjoyed this book! Such a fun read with great character development! Such a fun one and great to grab!

"Anonymous Sex' by Hillary Jordan
My Assessment:
'Anonymous Sex' was quite a read of twenty-seven erotic stories. Now, if this is your kind of read, then you have come to the right place because these authors give it all to you as they present their anonymous short and sweet stories. You may not enjoy all of these stories; however, there will be something just for you because many topics will be covered. So, be ready for 'some thrilling ones, long-married love, hardcore, sweet, gritty, steamy, and even some fanciful.' so you get a little bit of it all from this collection. I liked the idea of how these stories were put together because even though the author's name is listed, you do not know the particular author of the story that comes up. That, to me, makes the story even more intriguing. So, if you are into this type of reading...get ready for 'Anonymous Sex' will give it to you.

This a group of stories by individual authors without identifying which author wrote each story. Some of these are at least partly graphic and many are not. Many of the stories are more about lust and desire and they cover many different situations including a new version of Rapunzel. In my opinion there were six or seven stories that are really good, and the rest were average. This type of book is one that should be on your nightstand and read a story or two and then come back to it the next day. Give it a read and see what you think. Thank you to Edelweiss and Netgalley along with Simon & Schuster for an ARC for a fair and honest review.

The short stories in Anonymous Sex reveal humanity's ultimate secret and obsession: desire. There is nothing quite like the stories within these pages. I have been conditioned to flinch in the face of unabashed pleasure, especially that which is atypical, but these stories challenge what I thought I knew about sexuality. The characters and plot made me think, "Should I be into this." And the answer is yes, it's normal to feel passion about and be into subversive sex. I couldn't get enough of the authors' creativity and honestly. This book is a must-read. It will teach you many lessons about yourself and those around you.

Some of the stories were really good. Some of them were horrible. I’m not sure if some of the authors understood how/what erotica is, but the spice was missing in several stories.

I very much enjoyed this book for all the different views and not knowing who wrote which story is refreshing. Going into a story blind opens your expectations. Not cringingly uncomfortable sex secenes but definitely erotica. Happy reading!

Great concept for a book, but the execution was a bit lackluster. Although the great thing about a collection of short stories is that there is something for almost everyone. I found a couple of stories that I really enjoyed and a few that I wondered whether this was the first time the author was writing romance/erotica. But again, there is a variety to choose from, and not everyone likes the same kinds of things. Thank you, NetGalley, for the chance to read and review an early copy of Anonymous Sex.

If you're looking for Any Shade of Grey (never mind 50!), you better be colorblind. Sure, some of the stories are hot, provactive, and sexy, (with much better writing than the "jeez fest" that was 50 Shades of Grey), but overall the book feels more awkward than anonymous. The premise is clever-27 prominent authors pen 27 short stories without a byline-while the authors have their names listed in the front of the book you don't know who wrote what story. And their definition of "sex" is very broad-a few of these would barely qualify as PG. What would have made Anonymous Sex really fun is a contest where readers try to match the author with the story. Anonymous Sex is probably not a bad way to spend an evening, but like the real thing, it's always better when you know who (and what) you're getting.

I wasn’t really sure what to expect when I decided to read this. It’s a collection of super short stories ranging from fairy tales to dark scenarios with video cameras. Most of the stories were very PG, some are just about relationships. Some were relatable after having been married for decades. Thanks @netgalley for this eArc in a exchange for my honest review.

I really loved the premise around this book and how the concept came to be. I was familiar with some of the authors, so I was very curious to read this. Although I did like a few of the stories, some of them were just way too much for my tastes. Thank you to Netgalley and Scribner for the ARC.
