Brad Taylor https://bradtaylorbooks.com is the author of more than 15 novels. The novel End of Days was published in January of this year. It is the 16th volume in his Pike Logan thriller series.

.Due to scenes of vilence, I categorize this book as 'R'. The primary characters are Taskforce operators Pike Logan and his wife, Jennifer Cahill.

The outbreak of COVID has kept Logan and Cahill sequestered in South Carolina. Israeli Mossad agents show up and entice the couple to accompany them on a mission. They jump at the chance to travel again.

At first, it is only supposed to be an easy, low-key trip. Soon they find themselves involved in a much more sinister plot. Several Israeli and US government officials are killed. The superficial evidence points to Hezbollah. But the four agents believe there is another group at work. They discover that radicals within the Knights of Malta are behind the assassinations. Between the deaths and the implication of Hezbollah involvement, they are trying to hasten the biblical End of Days.

Pike and friends must try to stop the radicals before a devastating war sweeps the Earth.

I enjoyed the 11+ hours I spent reading this 443-page thriller. This is the fourth novel by Taylor that I have read and reviewed. The Insider Threat, Ghosts of War, and Ring of Fire are the others. They are all very enjoyable thrillers. I give this novel a rating of 3.8 (rounded up to a 4) out of 5.

I have not read to many books that have incorporated the Covid 19 into the plot but this one did and I think it added a bit of reality to it. Pike Logan and his tribe of secret agent style missionaries are brought into a Mossad seeking mission. Several deaths have occurred that could lead to an Iran attack on Israel and the United States. Aaron and Shoshana have asked Pike and Jennifer to help find who is behind these murders before World War 3 breaks out. It is a mission that needs to be done delicately and without the media breaking the story. The clues lead them to Rome where the clues become more clear when they reveal end of days of Armeggdaon.

I have only read several of the Pike Logan books and each one you go deeper into the mind of Pike, Jennifer and Shoshana. Shoshana is a lose canon that is intriguing. She has a 6th sense that is well with each adventure I have had the pleasure of being on. Pike and Shoshana are much alike but different. They both have a vulnerability that adds to the character development and plot line. Jennifer is the one that balances them both and gives them security or a sense of sanity in the insane action that is all round. The story line is biblical that it refers to the end of days in Revelation. It is an interesting take from other fictional plots and without giving anything away, it added more suspense and reality in today's world. There is alot of moving parts as well. The investigation of murdered women in Rome and the investigator is one. Those that are bringing the end of the days have their own story that adds to the craziness .

A real edge of your seat thriller!

A special thank you to William Morrow and Netgalley for the ARC and the opportunity to post an honest revie

Brad Taylor delivers another great thriller in End of Days. Pike Logan and the Taskforce are grounded due to COVID-19 but lend some assistance to their Israeli allies when an assassination is carried out that sets off a chain of events that could lead to the end of days. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for this latest latest installment in this great series!

Book Review - Brad Taylor’s “End of Days” is the sixteenth thriller in the Pike Logan series. Pike Logan and Jennifer Cahill team up with Israeli Mossad friends Aaron and Shoshana to try and stop terrorists from bringing on ‘Armageddon’ between the Israelis and the rest of the Middle East. A deranged terrorist leader and his group try to cause a world war by creating the ‘end of days’ according to the Bible prophecy in the Book of Revelations. An overwhelming majority of thrillers involving terrorism have featured Islamic extremists and Taylor reminds us in this exciting story that this radical villain does have a monopoly on ‘crazy’. Nevertheless, the plot, storyline and character development were brilliant! One of the best characters Taylor has created in the series is the Israeli Mossad team of Aaron and Shoshana. Because of them, Taylor has developed an almost endless supply of storylines when they join with the Taskforce. Shoshana’s character is mystical, she is a puzzle wrapped in an enigma. The contrast between the fearless apex predator with the emotional maturity of teenager is endlessly fascinating. She just wants to be loved like everyone else, yet she's like no one else. I absolutely love her character and the humorous bantering between she and Pike. Although End of Days was lighter on the action and more on the history and politics as previous Pike Logan novels, the story was one of Taylor’s most suspenseful and well thought out narratives. It was a captivating geopolitical tale that was all too realistic and very well researched. It's well-written with a lot of well-placed humor and some serious history lessons on Middle East politics. Taylor continues to cement his self as one of the best in the thriller genre. End of Days was a good mix of Middle East politics, religion with some sufficient action. Great read to start 2022! Thank you to Netgalley and publisher William Morrow & Company for the ebook ‘Advance Reader’s Copy’ (ARC).

End of Days is a rock-and-roll entertainer with the ever-witty Pike Logan and his formidable team pitted against a group of religious fanatics led by a serial killer belonging in the most deranged category of killers.
When a former Mossad spymaster is assassinated, all signs point to Iran as the culprit. Digging deeper into the assassination unearths a darker conspiracy, one perpetrated by members of The Knights of Malta to fulfill the prophecy of bringing about the end of days through an all-out war. Aaron and Shoshana enlist the help of Taskforce just days before Pike and Jennifer’s wedding day to stop a global catastrophe. All in a day’s work for our favorite characters.
End of Days reminds readers in no uncertain terms why Brad Taylor is one of the most talked about authors today. His focus to detail when it comes to describing spycraft techniques with in-depth execution is second to none. This is one of the few books where I enjoyed the tactical planning and slow-burn style of missions as much as the resulting crisp and swift action sequences.
Another critical component of this narrative is the evolution of all the beloved characters in the Taskforce series. Reflecting back on the earlier books, Pike Logan has become more of a tactician and spymaster than a door-kicker. The sustained and evolving maturity in his thought-process and actions paves the way for a smarter reading experience as the narrative inspires readers to think along with Pike and his team in concocting the right tactical plan for a given situation. That being said, Pike Logan is still the fearsome operator we’ve come to love, keeping his darkness in check with sarcastic quips and a strong bond with his new bride, Jennifer.
End of Days is one of the darker stories by Brad Taylor, but it’s aptly balanced by tension-cutting humor between Pike and Shoshana as they butt heads on how to approach the missions. While Shoshana is motivated by a bloodlust, Pike’s preferences are more subtle. This conflict leads to a lot of hilarious banters between the two and periodically cools down the otherwise constantly heated storyline.
Brad Taylor’s work is tinged with eerie prophecies and End of Days feels like a scary foretelling of events to follow soon enough. There is no excuse to miss out on this!

This is the sixteenth book in the Pike Logan Novel series by Brad Taylor. I'd give this book 5 stars even though I originally wasn't sure I'd want to continue reading past the 20% point. I don't know whether it was easier for those who read other books in this series, but the endless parade of new characters coming into the book really caused me moments of confusion. However, after I got the different factions somewhat sorted out, I was finally able to appreciate how well the author pulled this story together.

The characterization was well done as Brad Taylor gave me a peek behind the outer appearances into the inner workings of the people involved. There was some background information along with present behaviors that made them seem real.

The plot was also realistic. I would not be surprised if there are others in our world who would plot how to do what the bad guys were up to. It certainly would not surprise me.

Like I said, this is a five star book.

Brad Taylor continues his hot streak of compelling geopolitical thrillers with End of Days, an all too realistic story that combines theology, history and Middle Eastern politics with crazy bad guys and bursts of violent action.

Pike and Jennifer are a week away from getting married when their preparation is interrupted by a plea from their friends Aaron and Shoshana to help them track down the killer of the former head of Mossad. In fact, there’s a string of murders being claimed by an Iranian backed terrorist group called Keta’ib Hezbollah that has the hawks in Israel and the United States ready to go to war with Iran. But Shoshana’s eerily accurate sixth sense tells her there’s more to the story and someone else is behind the killings with an end game that’s bigger than they realize. Pushing the Taskforce charter to the limits and beyond, Pike and Jennifer team up with their Israeli counterparts to chase leads in the Middle East, ultimately attempting to track down and thwart a group of rogue operators calling themselves “The Turtles” before they start World War III.

End of Days is chock full of international intrigue and a captivating plot that constantly builds tension, propelling the story forward with enough doubt to the outcome to make it anxiety-inducing for the reader. And while there’s not as much pure action as some of the early books in the series, it’s more than made up for with a suspenseful race-to-the finish storyline that grabs you early and doesn’t let go. On top of that, the character development of both the new and old characters is top notch, providing interesting backstories for the bad guys while showing the maturation of those we’ve come to know and love…Pike and Shoshana in particular. All of which shows Brad Taylor’s continued growth and development into a complete, world class thriller author who seamlessly blends spy, military and political plotlines into one gripping novel.

Fans of the genre know that Brad Taylor always delivers, and End of Days is no exception. This is a must read that will help you properly kick off 2022 in style. Pick up a copy in January and join Pike, Jennifer and team race to save the world from starting a catastrophic war.

Brad Taylor has always been one of my favorite authors due to his finesse and ability to create such an amazing character like Pike Logan. Logan is nothing short of a badass and he is continuously at the forefront of the to-be-read books when they become available. I have also had the pleasure of meeting Brad and his lovely wife Elaine here in Charleston SC, and if you have the opportunity do not pass it up. They are some of the most down to earth people and are extremely fun to be around.

Pike Logan and girlfriend/wife to be Jennifer Cahill, ‘Koko’, are gearing up for a huge day, but are they ready for the End of Days. The wedding she wants, small and informal, with just the closest of friends and family, is here and she’s ready to relax. As they’re preparing for the big day, a small team of religious radicals, not the normal ones, are on the prowl to start World War III. The kind of war that attempts to eradicate an entire group of people.

Shoshana and Aaron, former Mossad, are in Charleston, SC preparing for the Logan/Cahill wedding when they decide to ask for help. Without Taskforce assistance they will be hurting. The team is on the hunt in an Alpha mission to find out why prominent Americans and Israelis are turning up dead. With everything leading towards a Hezbollah linked operation, funded by Iran, the Taskforce begins to work. Pike and the team fight through mysterious killings in Italy and even have to dodge a casual car bomb while on the hunt for the notorious ‘Ninja Turtles’.

The mismatch of Israeli contractors and American shadow figures finally get HQ Taskforce backing to help and find the people responsible for the heinous attacks on civilians leading them through Syria and Israel. Splitting a team up is never a good choice but considering the villains in play, the Taskforce splits as the tension ratchets up while guns, bombs, and God are at nothing but the forefront.

Taylor crafts a modern-day thriller built on biblical prophecies that will have you glued to the pages. It’s not a chest bumping religious novel, it’s the cruel and callous Pike Logan that we have all come to know and love. He’s dangerous, ruthless, and what America needs as he wreaks havoc on bad guys all over the globe. Taylor’s research and imagination are full of action-filled scenes and endless bloodshed. Pike and Koko, along with the rest of the Taskforce, are always ready for a gunfight and this one will not disappoint.

When I think of military thrillers, Brad Taylor’s novels are always at the top of my list of best reads in this genre. Taylor utilizes his background in special forces to create an ultra-secretive taskforce made up of current and former special forces operators with kick-ass abilities and skills—along with one extremely deadly anthropologist/commando.
Taylor has created a name for himself with his ability to see into the future with each new novel—every release a breaking story ripped from the headlines! Taylor has also created, perhaps arguably, the most beloved fighting duo in all of the thriller genre: Pike and Jennifer. Not only are they deadly together and apart, but the chemistry that has grown since book one has kept the reader rooting for them right alongside the nail-biting plots.
In Brad Taylor’s sixteenth Taskforce novel, End of Days, we start off with the savage murder of the former head of Israeli intelligence. To uncover the perpetrator, Mossad calls on two of their best: Aaron and Shoshana. Fans of the Taskforce series will recognize these two, and anticipate that some high-flying action is about to ensue with their introduction.
To flush out the murderer before they strike again, Aaron and Shoshana turn to the two deadliest people they know: Pike and Jennifer. The pair have, relatably, been stuck at home due to the COVID-19 pandemic. When Aaron and Shoshana show up asking for help, the two jump all over the offer to get out and about.
As this foursome runs down leads, pieces begin to not line up. A sub-group of Hezbollah has had all the killings tied to them, but the facts are not in agreement. At the same time, in Rome, a serial killer is on a rampage, and the two events merge together to a tangible lead. As the team sniffs out this lead, the path drawls directly to the illustrious Knights of Malta. The team must wade through the dangerous and chaotic world of religious fanatic’s vs legitimate organizations. Can the team parse out truth from fiction, and find the murderer before they complete their final world altering end game?
I have been a fan of Brad Taylor for several years now, and every book has been a whirlwind of high adventure, and edge-of-your-seat plot twists. I love to watch how an author takes multiple story lines, that seem not to be related, and takes the reader on a crazy adventure to the final nail bighting seen where it all makes sense. Taylor has become a master at this, and has only gotten better over the years. End of Days is an incredible tapestry of real world implications mixed with stellar story telling. Brad Taylor still has the touch, and I can’t wait for more!

Fast-paced and gripping plot. Intriguing characters. Well-developed settings. Satisfying ending.

Although I'm not a fan of sex-crimes in my novels, and there was a lot of f-bombing, the characters and action kept me reading all the way through.

End of Days is everything we've come to love from a Pike Logan thriller. I was surprised that there was not a bit more physical action scenes, but it did not take away from the overall tension or suspense at all. Also, I absolutely love the development of Shoshana as a character. The dynamics within the 'family' is great.

Action packed throughout. Hold on tight. Good carry through of characters from prior books but understandable if this is your first book
