I have received this ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Granted definitely has one gorgeous freaking cover. I'll admit that I kind of requested the book based on the cover alone. Don't get me wrong, the synopsis was interesting as well but the cover is what drew me in.

In it, you will meet Sabeara. She is a princess of a divided kingdom. She wants to restore the peace in her kingdom but in order to do that she wants to become a stone-hearted. Unfortunately, she is kidnapped by some rebels. While being rescued she finds out about a curse on her kingdom, Aveladon.

After getting this news, she is torn between her kingdom and her heart. In the beginning she wanted peace but with this curse now in play she's not sure what to do. I mean she just met the guy she's developing feelings for so one would think the kingdom is way more important - right? Eh. Sure.

Throughout the book, we got some pretty good twists and turns that kept this a page turner (for me). I wasn't completely into the romance in the beginning but towards the end of the book I think they were alright. I'm not sure what's going to happen next between these two due to how it all ended but I'm kind of interested to see it all play out.

Other than that, it was an entertaining book. It did have some slow parts to it where I honestly didn't care what was going to happen or what was currently happening. Luckily, I made it to the very last page and I have some questions. So I might dive into the next book whenever I can.

I was sold on reading this one when I saw the cover and read the synopsis. The plot is excellent, there are definitely some pacing problems but overall it's a great read.

Really really enjoyed this one! First of all, this book had me at hello just by that stunning cover. The plot was so fun and full of adventure! The curse aspect with an addition to amulets and ambushes made for an exciting ride from start to finish. Not to mention a swoon-worthy romance and a courageous heroine. Overall I enjoyed the journey that this book took me on, and THAT ENDING! I need the next book asap!!! A great debut by a lovely author.

Before picking this up, I hadn't heard of Granted before, but the cover and synopsis REALLY excited me! I'm on a bit of a fantasy reading spree, and I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked Granted! It started off a little bit slow, but quickly picked up and I was drawn in. The worldbuilding was lovely, and I really felt transported into the world of Aveladon!

Sabeara is an interesting protagonist, I thought she was headstrong and rebellious and I loved it! I'm a sucker for a princess who doesn't want to stay within the walls of their castle hehe. She was kidnapped by a rebel kingdom, and rescued by a handsome stranger, Mid. I quite liked the romance aspect! I really felt for Sabeara and Mid and I was rooting for them!!

Overall, I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked Granted! The story ended on a cliffhanger, so I'm VERY interested to see what happens next!!

I received a review copy from the publisher via NetGalley.

Ok, wow. I didn’t have many expectations for this book but what I did have was blown out of the water.

I loved the set up and how everything transpired. The magical aspect is a pretty cool idea and different.

I was screaming at all the delicious love angst in the second half of the book!

The only issue I had was that the whole book felt a tad rushed, things could have been more fleshed out.

Overall though I was very happy and I had to get book 2 right away to see how Sabeara and Mid will resolve their problems. (Review for book 2 will come soon)

This was a sold ya science fiction novel mixed with some fantasy elements. This was so good. I really enjoyed it and appreciated the research and time and effort the author took into perfecting this. I really did have a lot of fun and pure enjoyment while I read this and I will continue to pick up from this author in the future!

I could not believe how sucked in I got to this plot and characters! I absolutely the main character Sabeara - she was so feisty and strong willed for a princess. I love her journey of discovering hidden truths, love, and her power. There were so many great plot twists. I could not put this one down! It ended on a huge cliffhanger and so I cannot wait until the next book releases! If you are a romantasy lover, you must read this series!

Thank you Netgalley for giving me the opportunity to read this wonderful book. To start it off, the blurb really caught my attention, Aside from the blurb, the cover is so beautiful and enthralling.

What I loved about the book are the well-developed characters and the engaging environment, I just kept on reading and it drew me in. Now I am patiently waiting for the next book because this one is amazing and I am certainly looking forward to the next installment.

Think fantasy with a hint of fairy tale. I loved everything about this book. The author's writing style was a breath of fresh air and I can honestly say without hesitation that I would recommend this book to all of my friends from 13-99. There's a bit of adventure and romance and the vivid details setting the scene of the book gave me such a magical setting in my mind. I wanted to be in the book and that's exactly how I felt.

Well, I’m not sure where to start with this book because it was just a mess. Plot who? Likeable characters? This book has none of it.
Picture every cliche shoved into one book: this is it. But done so badly. Painfully.

I just didn’t get along with this authors writing which is why I don’t think I enjoyed this book (most of all). It was a lot of telling instead of showing the reader what was happening and the chapters were so bitty. You’d get into a scene and suddenly it was broken up. It didn’t make sense.
I also felt like the magic system/world building was a been there, done that kind of job and I didn’t feel wowed or interested in any of the world politics either. I thought the concept sounded interesting from the title, but this book was just a flop.
The characters were as boring as watching paint dry and I felt like the author was trying to push their ‘personality’ onto the reader instead of letting it come alive on the page.

Sadly, without spoilers, this is not the book for me!
