The Inn on Mirror Lake has been in the family for several generations. Battle lines are being drawn. Ellie and Grandpa are on the keep side. Ellie's mom and sister are on the sell side and put grandpa in a nursing home. Brought into this mess is Nate Black, undercover law enforcement who rides a bike. He is pretending to be Ellie's boyfriend and help with her mom. All the sparks and feels are there but Nate is a no commitment person. The jealousy bug strikes when Ellie's ex-fiancee is the one deciding if Highland Falls is the most romantic little town. Also danger is lurking. When Ellie tries to tell him, he doesn't believe her. She won't open herself up again if she can help it. Never mess with Ellie is she has a shotgun in her hands. Definitely don't mess with her family. It is the video that unlocks Nate's heart. I loved the ending!

The Inn on Mirror Lake
By Debbie Mason

Ellie and Nate, these characters just do something to you.
They draw in and keep you close.... I couldn't get enough of them.
The romance between Ellie and Nate is great.
It develops slowly and their banter is great.
This story was everything you want in a sweet romance.
The book was so charming and heartwarming, that I devoured over a weekend. The cozy writing, with wonderfully lovable characters made this book such a delight to read that I enjoyed.
This book gave me all the feels and warmed my heart so much.
I was smiling, laughing and loving it from beginning to end.
My first Debbie Mason novel was a success!

Wow!! The Inn on Mirror Lake is the 4th book in the Highland Falls series and I think it is my favourite one! I laughed a lot reading this story....it was brilliant and amazing!

I absolutely fell in love with Ellie and Nate. Their characters are so good together. They met each challenge with finesse and hilarity. They make such an awesome couple. And speaking of characters who wouldn't like to have a grandfather like Grandpa Joe or even the Judge...those two were so funny! I loved all the characters yes even Ellie's mother.

I recently discover Debbie Mason's Highland Falls series and I am so glad that I did! Ms Mason's writing style is brilliant. She writes from the heart and that you can tell is by her characters...each one of them are amazing. When I started this book I didn't want to put it down so it took 1 day to read I fell asleep after reading well after bedtime.

If you haven't read this series you really need to run to your nearest bookstore, library or computer and get this series. You won't be disappointed I promise!
Highly recommend!

Ellie has come home to help refurbish and run her Grandfathers Inn. Ellie’s Mother is trying to seek the property and put him in a home, against his wishes. There are some delightful characters in this book and you can’t help but root for Ellie and her Grandfather. It was a good story that I enjoyed. Thank you to net galley for an advanced readers copy.

What a picturesque location! This is the first book of this series that I have read, but I was quickly drawn in. First, I loved the cover; it’s so inviting. I like the town and it’s people. Ellie’s family has some hostility and the reasons for it are explored. Grandpa Joe was a card who I enjoyed. My favorite character was Nate Black. I was all in when he arrived on his Harley and had a gravelly voice. I’d push aside Ellie to have a chance at the agent. I highly recommend this book.

The Inn on Mirror Lake (Highland Falls Book 4) by Debbie Mason was an outstanding read that I just couldn’t put down! A little bit danger, a little bit of romance, a conflicting family all come together to make one story that grips and doesn’t let go until the very end.

I have been waiting for Nate’s story since an earlier book in this series and it did not disappoint! Nate is a bad boy with a kind side, obsessed with seeking justice for a friend he lost in the line of duty. Ellie is a sweet woman who gave up her career to care for her grandfather and his aging inn, with a secret “gift” she’s struggled her whole life to hide. They are complete opposites who shouldn’t work together, but they really do. In this book they fight against Ellie’s family trying to shut down the inn, and put her grandfather in a home, Nate dealing with his obsession with justice, and Ellie’s famous ex coming back to town in a very public way. There is so much going on this story in the best way. It was action packed and so satisfying. I love the town of Highland Falls and all the eccentric characters and matchmakers that live there. I also loved that in this book we got updates on several characters from previous books. This was such a great story, and one that left me hoping that Ellie’s sister is the star in the next book in Highland Falls. I received an ARC from netgalley, and this is my honest review.

An enjoyable romance with fun characters and some unique twists. My first novel by Mason, I enjoyed the dialogue. Though a series, it stood fine alone.

The Inn on Mirror Lake is a wonderful addition to the Highland Falls series! There’s a bit of everything - family drama, great friends, romance, plenty of chemistry, and a touch of mystery and suspense. I love the characters of Ellie and Nate, and enjoyed reuniting with other residents of Highland Falls (although this book could be read as a stand-alone, but I recommend reading the whole series!). I loved it!
