I love, love, love a themed cookbook - and this is definitely one I will be needing a physical copy of! What a fun rendition filled to the brim with delicious recipes. You truly don't even need to have watched the series or read the series; you'll find immense joy within the treats in these pages!

This was an amazing cookbook! I loved all the recipes that weren't overly complicated. I plan to try multiple recipes for a viewing party with friends where we catch up on the first two seasons.

What a cute cookbook! I really liked the Bridgeton theme. I look forward to trying out several of these recipes when I watch the new season.

Even if you haven’t watched the popular Netflix Bridgerton series, The Unofficial Bridgerton Cookbook: From The Viscount's Mushroom Miniatures and The Royal Wedding Oysters to Debutante Punch and The Duke's Favorite Gooseberry Pie Inspired by Bridgerton, is a fun cookbook to add to your cookbook collection. It includes recipes from Regency England that will be appealing to everyone who loves food, especially food from the past. The recipes are very “English” and include classics such as scones and tea sandwiches, as well as refreshing beverages, cakes, and biscuits (cookies), muffins, and even macarons. The side dishes and especially the main dishes are fairly elegant and fit for royalty, but not overly so. They are, however, mouthwatering. Unfortunately, there isn’t a photograph of every recipe, but there are lots of beautiful pictures that will make it difficult to choose just what to make next. The recipes are written in the traditional form and are easy to follow. Many are quite easy, too.

All told, this is a fun cookbook full of great recipes to serve while watching Bridgerton or other shows from the period. Almost everyone will enjoy re-creating these lovely recipes, and everyone will enjoy eating the finished dishes.

Special thanks to NetGalley for supplying a review copy of this book.

Do I love Bridgerton? Yes. Do I love cookbooks? Duh. Did I ever dream I could get my hands on a book that combined both of these things into one magical thing?! No. That's crazy talk. How could I ever imagine such a unicorn of a book would ever exist?! Run out and grab a copy of this book immediately and get to cooking. It may not have a recipe to transform you into Simon's spoon, but if you serve up any of these other recipes you're sure to be the talk of The Ton.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

The Unofficial Bridgerton Cookbook is a treat in and of itself, whether you make the recipes or not. Each recipe has an appropriate Bridgerton name and small blurb about the recipe. The blurb states fun facts, some real, some fictional, about who from the show/book enjoyed this recipe and why, and also facts about the time period. It makes it fun and more intriguing. I believe even if you are not a fan of the show/books you would enjoy this cookbook, it just has a great vibe. The ingredients for most of the recipes are nice and simple and the steps are easy to follow. I think someone just starting out on their cooking journey would be able to follow this book which is awesome. Also, someone more experienced may be able to take some creative liberty to jazz up the recipes. It would be a good cookbook for anyone who enjoys cooking.

The Unofficial Bridgerton Cookbook is an absolute must have, it has the perfect balance of recipes, photos, and Bridgerton flare! I would recommend it to anyone who likes the show/books and also to anyone who enjoys historical fiction. This cookbook would make a great gift for housewarming or a birthday!

Thank you so much for the opportunity to review this book! I have read both this and another Bridgerton cookbook. I think that this one presents a great collection of recipes, both straightforward and enticing. I think that with a period drama, there is an understanding to what sort of foods you want to include in a themed cookbook. This one doesn't disappoint, it has everything you'd expect from this sort of theme. I think my only criticism that is worth stating is that I think the cover is a weakness for this book. Nowadays, books are judged by their covers for sure. To set a cookbook apart, it really needs to be both informative and visually entertaining. I don't think this cover succeeds here, but the contents are great.

⭐⭐⭐

I am sure if you follow my reviews; you know all about my love for cookbooks that tie into novels, or TV shows. I was excited to dive into this one. I loved Bridgerton, and I adore cooking. So win-win, right? 👩🏻‍🍳 Unfortunately, it didn't exactly blow me away. Don't get me wrong, it's a cute cookbook. Well laid out, with easy to follow recipes, photos, and little bits of information about the recipes or ingredients. I tried "Household Hasty-Bake Oatmeal Pies with Sugared Berries" and they were quite yummy. As was the "Rumor-Stirring Blueberry Lavender Fizz". I don't think I would pick this one up regularly when looking for ideas, but it makes a cute addition to any cookbook collection. Especially if you are a Bridgerton fan!

The Bridgerton Cookbook will delight fans with it's beautiful pictures, luscious recipes and wittiness! The recipes seem to fit the food that they'd eat. Probably not something you'd make everyday, but fun with some delicious results! Count me in!

I received an arc of this title from NetGalley for an honest review. This is a cookbook like any other but is tied to the tv show Bridgeton. I really want to make the macaroons recipe though.

This is a fun cookbook, perfect for Bridgerton fans! Each recipe has a Bridgerton story tied to it, and some of the recipes are authentically traditional British ones. I was happy to see there were recipes that fit with the theme but used modern ingredients like chocolate chips. The pictures are lovely too!

I’m definitely trying:

Dignified Delicata Squash
Benedict’s Perfected Cod à la Hollandaise
Lady Bridgerton’s Salmon Tartare
Fervor Sinkers (hot chocolate balls that open in hot milk)
Granville’s Sumptuous Chocolate Mousse Cups

I’m sure I’ll refer to it many times, 5 stars. Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

3 - 4 stars as the non recipe pictures was a letdown.
“The Unofficial Bridgerton Cookbook” is as described, a well written recipe - cookbook that you have the opportunity to recreate and eat certain recipes from the show. Recipes range from drinks, pre dinner snacks, meals and desserts including items served at the balls, picnics. The cookbook is similar style to the cookbook in the older times but with a couple pictures of what the item should look like; whereas to compare to a modern times styled cookbook should contain a picture of each recipe. The cookbook isn’t what I expected but still ideal book to recreate the recipes from the timeline of Bridgerton.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from Adams Media via NetGalley for my honest review of the book. The opinions expressed in this review are entirely my own thoughts, feelings and viewpoints of the book.

This is such a great cookbook! Not only does it have fantastic recipes for all of your Bridgerton themed parties, but the recipes work in real life as well! What a great cookbook to have in the kitchen to give you a little regency flair.

Perfect recipes for a Bridgerton watch party! The recipes included are easy and seem like they would be fun to make with friends while waiting for a new season to premiere. I also like how each recipe fits the character it is named for. I can also see using the recipes for tea and brunch parties. I nice addition to the Bridgerton world.

As we’re waiting for the second season of Bridgerton series, I’ve been very gladly surprised by “The Unofficial Bridgerton Cookbook” by Lex Taylor. I love food (both cooking and eating) and I loved the very famous Netflix series: Bridgerton so as you can guess, when I saw this cookbook I was very excited.
Happily, this book DELIVERED and SERVED! I was not disappointed at all and was apparently very right to be buzzed. It contains many recipes (100 to be exact) from the series: whether it’s a character favourite or a dish served during a ball or tea party. In addition to the ingredients and cooking instructions, each recipe includes a fun fact about the dish or one of its ingredients during the Regency Era. The recipe titles were absolutely genius (and also hilarious). Recipes were well explained and easy to follow (just as one would like to see in a cookbook).
I cannot explain to you how much I wished each recipe had its own photos because it was hard for me to visualise the dish just from its recipe in order to cook it. Plus, all the photos of the lucky dishes that were taken looked mouthwatering so I would’ve liked that experience for each and every one of the recipes. (However please note that I had an uncorrected pre-release copy so maybe (and hopefully) there will be additions to the version that I saw. ) (Furthermore, I saw many people who weren’t deranged by the absence of photos I’m some recipes so maybe it’s just my problem after all?)
Needless to say, this would be an amazing gift idea for a Bridgerton fan but also for someone interested in Regency Era (they would not be familiar with the characters but one can always appreciate tasteful Regency humour.). “The Unofficial Bridgerton Cookbook” by Lex Taylor will appear from Adams Media early March 2022 (just as the season 2 is ringing our doorbells) so stay tuned and stay safe!

An interesting idea for a cookbook, the little introductions and 'did you knows?' that are written in the same style as the Bridgerton books certainly are entertaining. The recipes are mostly afternoon tea-type ideas, dishes you would make for entertaining or when you've got guests - some sound delicious and they all appear easy to follow. Personally, I like images to accompany each recipe, which this copy doesn't have. This book would be a good gift for a Bridgerton fan, the only thing that lets it down for me is that the recipes are very 'American' - from the measurements and the ingredient listings, it limits it for the British market in my opinion.
