More steam but still missing something. Possibly lost in translation. It was okay, not a ton of story but that is some people's jam. Nor sure I'll jump on book 3. Continuation of Massimo and Laura with more dark side.
WOW. I couldn’t STOP READING this book
This one was better in my opinion. I know their are mixed reviews but hey everyone likes different things and thats ok! In my opinion, I've read a few mafia romances and I just find this one portrays better the darker side of that trope.
Overall I did love everything, but I do agree with many that the main character is portrayed as smart but then does something stupid 90% of the time, which I agree is disappointing and I would love to see Laura redeem herself in that aspect in the next book. Maybe we can toss it up to all those pregnancy hormones.
I am excited to see where the film adaptations will go with this.
Hot sex? ✅
Twist and turns? ✅
Controlling Male lead with a ton of red flags ✅
Can't Wait for the next book!
365 Days continues and there are more steamy scenes. The translation is pretty good but it is still choppy in spots. It was a fair read.
Many thanks to Atria and to NetGalley for providing me with a galley in exchange for my honest opinion.
I have to be brutally honest when it comes to this book and am unable to put a review on GoodReads or TikTok. I see where the author is going when it comes to the series. However, I feel like there needs to be a better translation. Some of the nuances that come from the polish language are not translated well when it comes to the English version. There needs to be (at least for the next book) heavier attention to the nuances and translation. I'm sure the polish original version is amazing, the English version just falls flat sadly due to the translation errors.

Where to start with this one. I enjoyed it overall. The beginning was a bit confusing because it didn't flow with the ending of the first book, but it ended up being a flashback scene. I know that the movie for the first book was hugely smutty, but I didn't think the book itself matched the movie in that sense. This one, however, surely did. I feel like the first half of the book was 80% smut with no connection or feeling to it.
After that, there was more of a plot to it. I think my biggest hang-up was Laura's immaturity considering she's a full grown woman. She's constantly flighty and overly impulsive, something that creates problems for them.
Her nickname and the way she refers to Massimo was strange too. She refers to him as "the man in black" in her head but then she calls him Don Massimo. Felt odd to me.
Overall, this was an entertaining read and it definitely kept my attention the whole time. I don't know if there will be more books but I'd be interested in checking them out of there are.
I received an e-ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
This day is the follow-up to 365 days and continues the story of Laura and Massimo. Like in the first book, Laura struggles with the power dynamic within her relationship and regularly challenges it. After seeing video footage, Olga helps Laura flee by taking her to a lovers’ home. Laura learns all too late that what she saw was not what it seemed. Will Laura and Massimo figure out their truth in their realities before it is too late?
This story was full of little twists and turns that kept the reader on the edge of their seat. I found myself invested simply because I needed to know what happened next. That said, I felt that at the end, the story was something I’d read before with different tropes mixed in, leaving much to be desired. Still, I feel compelled to read the next book because, as previously stated, I’m dying to know how it all ends.

I read this book in the hopes of liking it more than the first one. But no, I was really disappointed. Laura is one of the most unlikable characters I have ever read. I get that she is pregnant and pregnancy hormones are no joke. But she used the pregnancy as an excuse to act childish and be horrible.
Much like with the first book I struggled with this one as well. This book like the prior one had a lot of steamy scenes. But there was no actual story. This book left me with just as many questions as I had going in. The writer doesn’t seem to be able to follow threw and complete stories, she left me with a sense that something just wasn’t right. I wish she would have explored more about his business.
I know that there is going to be a 3rd book. But I can tell you that I will not be reading it. The writing is awful, and I really hope that the stilted writing is because of the translation. But since this is the second book, I am not thinking that is the case.
Thank you to NetGalley and Atria Books for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review.
I really enjoyed this book by Blanka Lipinska. It was very well written and I would definitely recommend this to anyone.
This may be a case of the movie maybe being better than the book. While I am excited to see the movie this book has a too many plot holes for me. I am still trying to figure out what the main character is so in love with the heroine. I may have to give this another try.
So. I don’t know where to start. Reviews made it hard to go in with an open mind but I did. I always make my own mind up about a series. I feel it in my bones that after I finish, I’m going to wish I stopped after the first. I hated Laura and Olga in THIS DAY. They acted like horny teenagers and the sex. UGH! Every other page. It started feeling like filler. I wish the book would’ve been more like the final twenty minutes. I was on the edge of my seat with a little twist I didn’t see coming. I did love, especially with Sebastian York narrating, that she chose to bookend the story with Massimo’s POV.
This Day was not my favorite to be honest with you. I was hopeful for this one after reading 365 Days. I understand this book is filed under erotica, however it seemed like it was 99% sex and not a lot of plot. Questions I had from book 1 were unanswered. Help a girl out! Thank you to Netgalley for the ARC!
This Day (365 Days #2) is a dark romance full of sex and action. Fans of Laura and Massimo (the Don) will be glad this book continues right where the first book left off. I didn’t pick up the first book (365 Days) until about a year after the movie came out on Netflix here in the US. So I only had to wait a month for this sequel. I didn’t even know it was going to be a series!
The first book was a literal firebomb of sex and action. I am so glad I picked up the first one so late. I would have torn my hair out waiting for the second book if I had read 365 Days when it was first released. The second book is as explosive and chock full of sex.
There is no preamble at the beginning, so you cannot read this book on its own. You have to read This Day right after 365 Days. This book has some themes which could be triggering (themes of abuse, sexual assault, violence, etc.). But if you read 365 Days and survived, you already know what to expect. Couldn’t put it down.
THIS DAY (365 DNI BOOK 2) by Blanka Lipinski
This is the second book in the 365 Days series and it kept me reading. Massimo and Laura are planning their wedding. She is as crazy about Massimo as he is her. Domenico and Olga are entertaining secondary characters. The storyline is solid, and the book leaves off on a cliffhanger. There is so much sex it is almost but not quite to the point of being gratuitous. I give this 4 stars.
I’m not sure if was the translation but the writing was a little off for me. I love mafia romances and the spicy scenes were hot but sometimes the story read a little weird.
Good follow up to this series. This checked off everything I look for in a book. Was not disappointed. Really enjoyed this book. I will read more from this author. Must read
Thank you to NetGalley for this copy.
If you liked the first book, you’ll love the sequel. Highly recommend.
OMG… what a cliffhanger! Love Laura and Massimo. Laura can not catch a break. How many times can a girl get kidnapped? I can not wait for the next book.
I really struggled with this book. I absolutely loved the beginning when Laura & Don Massimo were exploring their love but when Laura is kidnapped again and she basically falls in love with her new captor too, it jus gets way to far fetched. It just shows she doesn’t know what love even is, which I really bothers me. I loved the first book and how Massimo is so in enamored and fate put Laura in his way, shows they are meant to be. This book makes me question everything within the story. Not my favorite, hoping third book finishes out the story in more positive way.
I couldn’t put the book down!! At first I wasn’t sure how I was going to like the book, it started off in the mind of Massimo instead of Laura, but then transitioned to where the first book left off. I was worried because usually sequels aren’t always as good as the first book. However I loved this one more the 365 Days. There was more action and more sensual scenes. Based off the ending I am hoping there will be a third book.
