Laura and Massimo are back! Along with a new, dynamic character. This book has drama, smoking scenes, and a gripping story line. I really, really enjoyed it. It ends on another doozy of a cliff hanger so beware.

Laura and Mossimo have a beautiful wedding, but it's filled with mafioso families. Drugs, alcohol and money flows. Laura is disenchanted with the life Mossimo is providing her and runs. He finds her and they reconcile. Then she is kidnapped by an enemy of Mossimo. It does end on a cliffhanger! The book is steamy, sexy and brutal. I am anxiously awaiting book three to get the finale of this trilogy.
If you liked 365, you will love This Day.

Wow. What a toxic book. I was hopeful that perhaps the story was a bit better for a sequel. That was not the case.

Parts were sweet for sure, but overall Massimo is just a giant dick.

I was so excited to get the next installment of this series. Laura and Massimo are so much fun to read about. This felt very much like the middle of the story for most of the book but still had a bit of building mystery, not to mention the spicy times. I would read it again, especially when the whole series is available.

I received an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review

This Day is book 2 in the 365 Day series. I really liked This Day and can't wait to continue with the series. I liked Laura and Massimo.

I really struggled with the first book in this series and hoped that the 2nd book would be better and it was just just barely. I wonder if the translation from another language is the issue I am having. It is a steamy series with lots of suspense and it ends in yet another cliff hanger.

Thank you to NetGalley for an eARC of this book

I loved the continuing saga of Massimo and Laura. Definitely a steamy read! Lots of suspense and a cliffhanger. No spoilers. Can’t wait to see how this ends as I’m biting my nails . Enjoy!

This Day by Blanka Lipinska is an action-packed read from being to end. I couldn't put it down. While this is the second book in the series, it can easily be read as a standalone.

I'd hoped beyond hope that this one would be better than the first book but alas... It started out rough and got pretty good...enough that I kept pushing on. Another cliffy of course which I don't mind generally if I love a story but now I'll have to read the last book in order to find out what happens next so I guess not a totally horrible book. I have to say that, for me, Laura is a dislikable character. I feel like most of the time she is acting like a 15 year old and again, perhaps it is the translation that makes it feel that way. I pretty much want to wring her neck half the time. If you are only looking for steam, this will definitely be the book for you as there was definitely plenty of that.

This book is kind of a hot mess. But if you expected anything different then you didn’t read the first one. And this one ends on a pretty crazy cliffhanger, just so you know.

Laura is a spoiled, selfish child in this book and Massimo only slightly better. Because they’ve only know each other a short time (and maybe because Massimo initially kidnapped her?) they have no trust built up and no communication style. Admittedly they are put in some pretty unusual situations, but no one get the the benefit of the doubt. Everyone reacts explosively without thinking rationally.

In case you were wondering if this book is a hot as the first …. Yes! There is so much sex in this book. Having sex, thinking about sex, dreaming about sex. It starts to get a bit repetitive actually.

I read an ARC, so there were definitely spelling and punctuation errors, but hopefully those get worked out before publishing.

As long as you know what you are getting into when you read this book, you will probably enjoy it.

Well this is like a soap opera with porn mixed in. Laura is so childish and if she calls Massimo “The Man in Black” one more time I think I am going in throw up. Massimo gives off mixed signals madly in love but calls her a whore. Confusion to the max. There is a ton of happenings that just weren’t necessary. The only action again is at the end. Cliffhanger, but I am to the point I really don’t care what happens.

Received an ARC from the publisher from NetGalley.

Laura and Massimo are back again. This time, the couple is freshly married, expecting a child and adjusting to life together. Laura is having problems adjusting to the mafia lifestyle, where women know their place.
Opinion
I enjoyed this book. I did have to go back to the end of 365 Days to double check where it left off. I believe watching the movie put me at a disadvantage because I remembered how it ended with the movie and not with the book.
The book is told through Laura's point of view and she is overly hormonal with the pregnancy. This puts her in quite a bind a few times with Massimo and others. Thankfully, she has her friend to calm her down and keep her safe.
This is a good read for fans of dark romance. There are plenty of adult scenes that venture away from mainstream.
There is yet another book in Polish that I hope will be translated into English soon. (As a side note, as it is translated from Polish, there are some peculiar wordings throughout the book. I found these charming and would chuckle at them.)
Many thanks to Simon & Schuster and Net Galley for providing me with an ARC of this book.

I think the hardest part about reading this book is that it's translated from Polish to English and therefore feels a bit too rigid for a romance read. I was very interested in what would happen with Massimo and Laura next and let's just say the story takes a 180 turn and I'm thinking these two despite their wild chemistry and true desire to stay together, just might not.

I won't spoil it for anyone but it's one bumpy ride and although I may not like where this saga is headed, I will be curious as to how it all turns out in book 3.

I don't fault the author for how it is translated so perhaps reading it in her native language adds the flow I typically need while reading.

3.25 stars.,

The follow up to book one. It is translated to English so that could explain the stilted language. But the writing was stiff and didn't flow.
The characters are one dimensional and were quite flat. They just were not really that likeable.

To be honest, it was not that entertaining. I was bored. I skimmed the book after a quarter of the way.

The cliffhanger is tortuous. Not knowing what to feel at the end has me conflicted on how I should write this review. I was completely in love with the characters Massimo and Laura but who the f is this Nacho guy and why is he all of a sudden such a strong character. He is just sorta of thrown into the main characters without much explanation and your expected to quickly love him….he drugs her and kidnaps her, much the same way Massimo did but with bad intentions. I’m truly left conflicted at the end and how I feel about this series now. I keep reminding myself that it is a translated book, so some things might not have come across how the author intended but the general ideas should still come across the same way….hence my conflicted feelings.

I was looking forward to this next installment, and was somewhat appeased by how it went. There was a lot of repetition of plot throughout, and I am starting to get annoyed with all the names this couple has for each other, but the rest of the story kept me entertained well enough. I kept thinking while I was reading it, that the book was too long (see comment above regarding repetition), and wishing for it to be over, but as soon as I finished it, and into the next day, I find that I wish there was more, or that the (hopefully) final book was out, so I can see what happens next. While it was a big cliffhanger ending, right in the middle of a sentence, it is pretty obvious about the decision to be made, how that will all turn out. My anticipation of the next book is more about finally being sucked into the story during the last few chapters, as opposed to just reading most of the rest of the book. There were things that happened in this installment, mainly with Adriano whom I was annoyed with, and Nacho whom I was at first annoyed with but then accepting of, that really threw me off, and I'm not sure now that the book is done, whether I like them or not. At this time, the second movie is still in production, but a trailer has been released, and it looks to be veering way off course of the book's storyline, so maybe the way that I felt things should have gone in this book, will be explored in the Hollywood version. Either way, I am excited to watch and read the rest of the series.

Hello Massimo, I've missed you. Who's ready for book two? Who's ready for the second movie to finally hit Netflix? Yeah, me too. This Day by Blanka Lipinska is divine erotic fun. So much drama and angst make for a ravenous read! Nailing bitting till the very end!

If you love 365 Days, the newest installment in the series will through you for some serious loops. The tumultuous romance ignites your inner fire and blows the roof off the foundation from the first book.

Complementary copy given for my honest review and opinion.
Great companion book with the same level of heat and intensity. Page turner for sure.

Laura and Massimo's story continues, we find the same steamy kind of scenes, their chemistry can't be denied. We have them marrying and she is pregnant, the book has a small pace of the story at the beginning due to the hot scenes, but moves on. It also has some flashbacks to try to match where the previous book story was left. This is a translation from Polish and unfortunately, I don't know the original language and rely only on this one, I know sometimes publishers make some translation mistakes and I try not to consider that in my reviews, but I must say some things were not as expected, maybe they used easy words for readers making some descriptions and actions a bit less mature than what I expected from the characters. This is the second book and there is a third I will be looking forward to reading as well.
