Thank you to the publisher for a free copy of this e-book in exchange for my honest review. This was an ok read. I haven't reviewed or read many books in this military/romance genre, but for my first one, it was readable. This is the kind of book (and series) that you could just read for quick and abundant consumption and enjoyment; the writing is pretty cheesy, and the plot moves superficially fast, but if you grab a drink and a snack, this could go down easily. All that said, it was forgettable and won't leave a lasting impression on my reading year. The male main character, Logan, is an on-again, off-again SEAL and the book opens with him having recovered from burying his feelings under an alcohol addiction and subsequent avoidant attachment style. The problem is that Logan's character development is complete at the start of the book and readers miss out on all that mess that broke them up to begin with. It's thick with second chance romance tropiness, which is only made possible because Logan has therapied enough to appear quite a different person to his ex, Hope. And she has a "no exes" policy. Well, we'll see.
Thank you so much Netgalley for the advance reader's copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
1 stars. I didn't like this book at all. I couldn't get into the storyline.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book, great story as usual and I’d highly recommend if you want to get lost in a book for a while.
I loved the characters and how their relationship got back on track as well as developed further. A real page turner with the added worry about safety as well.
Hot romance and a loveable story line with gorgeous SEAL too. what more could you ask for? I really enjoyed this book. It was hard to put down as it drew me in immediately and before I knew it I was in the middle of the book!
This book was very good but for some reason Leslie gave too many clues on who the bad guy was to make it easy to pick up too soon in my opinion. The why of it was a toss up of 2 options which we don’t know until the end. No matter, I still enjoyed the book and read from beginning to end without stopping!
This is Book 1 in the Team Oracle Security series and it is off to a great start. The storyline is interesting and intense and grabbed my attention from the start. The well-written story kept my interest all the way through. Logan and Hope were wonderful and strong characters. Action, suspense, and danger will keep you turning the pages as Logan tries to protect Hope from someone whose trying to kill her. Just before all that drama begins, Logan finds out he will be a father soon. These two characters worked really great together and had amazing chemistry. Ms. North did a nice job of bringing these characters and the story to life. This was a great start to the series and I'm looking forward to reading the second installment.
I received a complimentary copy from Netgalley and am voluntarily leaving my review.
3.5/5 stars!
After a botched mission derailed the hero to take up alcohol abuse and the breakup of his relationship with the heroine, the hero wanted to apologize for his actions after seeking help. This led to learning about the heroine's pregnancy and the danger she encounters due to her reporting job. Will this help reconcile the relationship between the hero and the heroine?
This is a second-chance, surprise pregnancy romance. The couple in this Leslie North book is likable and I appreciated that they talked about their relationship. I liked how the hero sought help in the past and wanted to apologize to the heroine for his actions. I also liked how strong the heroine is when she knew what she wanted in the relationship. I also liked the action in this story and the supportive secondary characters that surrounded the couple. I did think that the story dragged a bit in certain areas of the story. Overall, another enjoyable Leslie North book.
**Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the review copy. All opinions and thoughts in the review are my own.**
A big thank you to NetGalley and Relay Publishing for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This is the first in a series. This is a quick read an hour or two. There is an unexpected pregnancy, and suspense. It is sort of predictable but still an enjoyable read. 3.5 stars
This is a great book. The two main characters are Hope and Logan. They had recently broken up, but Hope found out she was pregnant. She told Logan she was pregnant and they were trying to figure out what to do. While they were driving down the road, a car out of nowhere hit them and then left. The police came and then Hope remembered other things out of the ordinary. Hope is an investigator reporter, she was looking into a disappearance case twenty years old. Somebody didn’t want her looking into it. Logan promised to help her and protect her and the baby. They eventually figured out what was going on and declared their love for one another.
Not the most original story but I had a good time reading it.
The thriller aspect was a bit predictable, I guessed all of the reveals early on.
I liked the writing style and the emotional growth of the male lead.
All of Leslie North’s books are fabulous. She dress you into the story a d doesn’t let you go until you’re completely satisfied. Or dreaming of being with a Seal!!
I thought this book was lovely. A sexy Seal and a pregnant mama. The perfect gentleman with a hint of Alpha.
Loved it
Another brilliant read by Leslie North. Quickly becoming one of my favourite authors for a steamy romance story. As usual, loved the characters and the story line.
I received this arc for an honest review
Logan broke up with Hope, his girlfriend before he left for his last mission. Now he is back and deciding whether to go back to the Seal’s or join his friend’s security team. That is until he runs into Hope and finds he is still attracted to her.
Hope likes Logan but she does not do seconds on dating. Her problem now though is she is pregnant with Logan’s child and she was not expecting that or him wanting to be around for the child. Now that someone is after her he decides to stay and protect her, best as he can. See what happens with her and the two of them in this wonderful story.
So this was a random ‘read now’ books. It was a super fast read, I think the book itself is short. It was a bit saucy, but not too much if I’m honest. But it did have the romantic chemistry! Also, loved that it had abit of a thriller side as someone was trying to kill Hope. Although it was easy to follow and I did guess the plot and what was going to happen but it was still good.
I loved Logan’s character, instantly warmed to him and I love how much he battled and wanted to change.
In my opinion I couldn’t really rate it above 3* just due to the fact it’s not up there with the other books I rate higher, however I did still enjoy it.
Ooh I was sucked into this one from the get go. I enjoy many Leslie north's books, and this one did not disappoint. Shes quickly becoming a favorite. She writes such strong characters and develops them very well. 5 out of 5. Great read!
This is a second chance romance between Logan, who is trying to wok past his previous issues with alcohol and Hope, who realizes she is pregnant with his child. I could certainly see the angst with Logan which helped make the story more realistic. I expected more from Hope's character though. Overall, it was a quick, enjoyable read with some nice suspense along the way. I'm looking forward to others in this series.
I received an advanced reader copy from Net Galley for an unbiased review.
A SEAL (enough said already) facing his ex, full on sexual chemistry, pregnancy, unresolved issues and fully charged emotions, all while under threat from a third party. What’s not to love?
A complete packed one sitting read.

SEAL's Redemption is the first book in the Team Oracle Security trilogy by Leslie North.
I really enjoyed this book! There was a lot of depth, including a second chance romance, a murder mystery, a car bombing and more! I enjoyed how this was an 'on the edge of my seat' book. There was so much going on and I loved trying to figure out who the bad guy was!
I loved the characters and the storyline was fascinating. I can't wait to see what happens next in the Team Oracle Security trilogy!
I'm so grateful to Leslie North, Relay Publishing, and NetGalley for providing me with a free copy of this ARC ebook in exchange for my honest review.
I've always liked Leslie North and this book is not exception. Truly was a book about redemption - I came into the book thinking I might not like Logan all that much but within the first chapter you are already rooting for him (them). He hurt Hope badly and she had prior experience with disappointment before Logan. You had to like how much Logan had worked on things before even seeing Hope - he never quite gets to say his piece in the beginning but supports her from Day 1 when he comes back. She is an investigative reporter in the middle of a couple projects - with some threatening moments - hence the need for Logan to hang around. There is a mystery which you may figure out ahead of time but there are also some unpredictable moments and some great cheerleader's in Logan's brother and Hope's best friend Ben that will bring a smile to your face. This is the first in a series - Team Oracle Security - and it won't be the last one I read either. You get a tease for some of the upcoming characters. All in all, a good story line where the characters have a past relationship and have to work at past hurts. Throw in a couple of surprises and it makes for an enjoyable read. I do wish we had more backstory on why Logan spiraled down the first time they were together but I'm thinking we will find out more in later books in the series since the next is already available. Hoping their world gets fleshed out more and we see more of some of the interesting characters in this book.
I received an advance copy of this book and the opinions reflected in my review are my own.
