Jennifer Fernjack writes in a super easy relatable way to read. Her book is a memoir written through the stories of her life, including a shock cancer diagnosis and her nagivation of this. The stories all relate to how we can apply virtues in our lives such as kindness and generosity to others and of course how grit and resilience are essential tools for life.

Fernjack responds to her adversities by accepting they can’t be changed, instead she asks ‘how’ . How do I move through this, navigate meaning ?

I enjoyed reading this and recommend it to others.

I particularly appreciated the "everyday" examples of emotional grit Fernjack shared in this read. I've read a number of books on the topic that focused more on using it in one's professional life; translating that to one's spiritual life or personal life in general differentiates this read from others already on the market.

Fernjack's writing style wasn't my personal favorite; I found much of the content to be overly wordy, and repeated uses of "World Wide Web," for example (instead of simply "internet"), were a bit frustrating, making it feel dated.

A very interesting and thought provoking memoir. I was honestly interested after reading the blurb itself but reading it was a whole different experience and I’m extremely grateful NetGalley gave me the opportunity to be able to read something like this. 5 out of 5 stars easily!
