This is a fine enough book. Well written and fantastically researched, and the narrator is absolutely fantastic. Exactly what I needed after a bad narrating experience. Every character was well acted and wonderfully brought to life. I was less engaged with the story, unfortunately, but it was fine enough. I feel those more interested in medieval and historical literature of this era will find it much more enjoyable, but despite my hopefulness when I chose it, I was never fully won over.
