Oh my gosh! If there was ever a “boy next door“ it would be Hunter. Vampire or not he has that innate kindness, perfect hair, perfect body, and amazing eyes, they burn bright blue, that you expect to see in any small town, and he is absolutely perfect for Alice. She’s eccentric, giving, kind, and has survived things that no one should have to, and only when she meets her dream guy does she really fall down the rabbit hole. I assure you that I quite happily fell right along with her. The author brought action, and danger, self growth, friendship, laughter and love together for the best of stories and most amazing journeys to the HEA. The side characters were amazing, I hope we get to see the wolves find their own HEAs, and the story built perfectly off of the first book, those bad guys just never give up do they? I can’t wait to see what happens next!
When I first started this book, I was really speeding through it. It had been a while since I read a paranormal romance and this book reminded me how much I enjoy them.
The insta love concept is something I normally have trouble with but not this time. Newly Turned vampire, Hunter, knew what he wanted and went after it. Although things progressed quickly, the love between the two is so strong that it's sort of believable. Kudos to the author for that!
Near the middle of the book, it started to slow down some for me, but once the action kicked back in, I finished it in no time.
Great read for a paranormal enthusiast!
I'm really getting into the Vampire Motorcycle Club series. In Hunter's Hope, we get Hunter's story and I was so glad for it.
Hunter was turned in at the end of Bane's Choice, the former in the series. Hunter is slowly acclimatizing to his new not dead, blood-drinking status when he runs across Alice. She thinks Hunter is a ghost and is talking to a raccoon and he thinks Alice is his new obsession.
I thought Alice talking to her raccoon, in the beginning, was a hoot. She runs an animal rescue and sees ghosts in her spare time to help them cross over. Hunter was a bit of a mess emotionally in the beginning but a good partner can help you settle your priorities real quick.
Alice and Hunter were a fun couple. With as much as Hunter was a mess, Alice brought some fun and levity to Hunter's gloom and doom he had settled into. Her rescued animal menagerie provided some fun on-page hijinx, especially the ferret and the minor demon.
The pacing was pretty quick and there are plenty of action, mystery points to keep the story running along. I am really wanting to get Meara and Edge's story (hopefully next in Redemption's Edge?). Their chemistry is seriously crazy and I want the front row seat to watch it all.
Needless to say, I am really looking forward to more in the series!

This should have been a DNF for me. The first book in this series was really good but this one was just weird and really trying too hard. I wanted to love Alice and Hunter but the story just didn't pull through for me.
❤️❤️❤️ out of 5
I find that with most vampire romances I read that the vampire is always older (as in centuries old), however this book had a nice guy next door vampire who was only turned weeks ago- which I really liked. There are only so many ways to write a vampire romance so I liked the unexpected.
Our heroine sees ghosts, and mistakes our vampire hero as a ghost, a mistake he is more than willing to correct her on- he is flesh and blood…. And we’ll hungry for her blood 😉. Thrusting her into the paranormal vampire world also puts her in danger so our vampire hero is more than willing to help protect her by staying with her to keep her safe.
There was a lot going on in this book storyline-wise and the pacing was a bit erratic but what kept me going were the characters- especially the heroine and her menagerie of animals (including a demon/dragon). I will still continue with the series (as I can’t wait for the next couple to be revealed).
The second book in the Vampire Motorcycle Club series focuses on Hunter, the newly turned vampire, ex-firefighter, we met in book one. He runs into a ghost whisperer and a pet racoon in a hotel in Savannah and is captivated by her from the get-go. She has never met vampires before, or any other supernatural beings besides the ghosts she has always been able to see and at first mistakes Hunter for a ghost. She is quirky and cute from the get-go and it was fun to watch her and Hunter's story unfold. Through in a minor-demon/dragon/occasional golden retriever and some nasty warlocks and her ugly past and it makes for an entertaining story with a pair of protagonists that both have to overcome their pasts and, for Hunter, his present circumstances in order to find their happily ever after. It was fun and I enjoyed going back to the crew. I look forward to the next one.
Thank you #Netgalley for the advance reader copy of Hunter's Hope by Alyssa Day in exchange for an honest review. I had previously bought two other books from another series Alyssa Day wrote and they are still in my to be read pile. I liked this book and her take on vampires, magic and demons. I liked Charlie and wish I had a pet dragon, I've always wanted one. My luck he'd get bigger than my house and then what would I do?
I am a big fan of Romance books and I found this one to be a very enjoyable read. I will be looking for more books from this author.
Hunter was once a firefighter with a occurrence changing his life in a big way. Now his world is as a vampire with urges. Alice sees ghosts which makes for not a boring read. She does encounter him and soon their paths merge. Teaming up is a must for survival. Turn the pages to see what all unfolds.
This is book two The Vampire Motorcycle Club series. I'm kind of new to the paranormal romance genre and I've been pleasantly surprised by this series, especially this book.
Hunter Evans is a newly turned vampire when he meets Alice Darlington. It is love at first sight for him, but she is annoyed because she thinks he's a ghost and she doesn't want to be bothered by him right now. You see Alice has a secret. She can speak with ghosts and animals and now her life is in danger and who better to protect than a super sexy vampire, his vampire family and a gang of werewolves.
This book has a ton of excitement, fighting and hot vampire sex. What more could you want!
Thank you, Netgalley and the publisher for allowing me an ARC of this book for review.
Loved this book! In Hunter's Hope Ms. day's series gets better and better! Hunter and Alice have their own demons that they have to fight off. Hunter is a vampire and learning to hold off on his vampire blood need and Alice who can apparently speak to dead people and animals. Together they fire up the sheets. Great read! Looking forward to more in the series. 4 stars
I received a copy of this book for a fair and honest review. This book was just fun and it made me laugh at times and want to scream. Hunter is a newly changed vampire that was a human firefighter before. Alice has the ability to see ghosts and talk to animals. There are people who are after both Alice and Hunter's people. Hunter sees himself as a monster and Alice thinks he is a ghost. Their journey forms a bond between them and alone the way they show each other what they are worth. It is a great addition to the series.

I have no idea why, but even though I am not a paranormal romance fan (if anyone shifts into anything, count me out) but I love a good vampire story.
When the newly turned vampire was a firefighter before he became a vampire, it's like adding extra catnip.
Hunter and Alice were fabulous together as they tried to figure out how to navigate their lives, their new (to Hunter at least) worlds and a relationship with one another.
I enjoyed and recommend this title.
Easy, light, fun read. I have quiet a few of Day's books that I enjoyed so I expected to enjoy Hunter and Alice's story. I had not read the first book so I will have to go back and read it but I still managed to get a kick out of all the characters and the storyline.
Second book in this new series. Not read the first book, but I’m definitely going back to read it. I’ve not read this author in a while (I loved her Atlantis Series)
This series concentrates on a motorbike gang, but not an ordinary MC gang, this one has vampires riding the bikes. It did remind me a little of Patricia A. Rasey’s Sons of Sangue Series.
Hunter is considered a “young” vampire as he’d only recently been turned. He’s fighting his revulsion at the the decision to take his old life away and replace it with a new one! And it’s one he’s not sure he can get a grip of! His new diet is causing him anxiety and stress, he thinks he’s going to kill someone’s with his newfound strength and hunger! But all that changes when he meets Alice….
Alice can see ghosts! She’s been able to see them for a long time, hiding the fact from everyone she knows. But when her past comes back to “haunt” her, she’s unsure where to go, can she really trust this stranger who holds a dark attraction for her? And how will she cope when she finds out there is more than just ghosts in her world… Vampires, demons and werewolves for a start!
I really liked the premise of this story, it’s a little slow and not much interaction with the MC part. But it has great dialogue, parts had me chuckling. It also shows us how newly turned vampires deal with their new life. And the ghost element was a great addition (usually the female is just some ordinary human who stumbles into the supernatural world. I also liked how the couple work together figuring out who and what wants Alice. Maybe I’ve read too many MC books lately, maybe I’ve read too many dark romances to fully appreciate this one, I found it a little tame, there could have been more battles, it could have been a little darker. But it’s still a great read, and I’ve added this series on my TBR list.
I’d recommend it for those who like their vampires a little less dark and who fight their basic urges 😉

Read this book in 1 sitting.
Stayed up way past my bedtime reading it as i could not put this book down.
absolutely loved this book.
Look forward ti reading more from this author
Fun romp with the feel of a fairy tale - interesting cast of characters with vamps both new and old, shifters, dragons, warlocks, and even a nephilim. If you like your fantasy a bit over the top with a good dose of humor and a little heat - this is for you.
It had been a while since I read Bane’s Choice, so it took me a little while to get back into the world of Vampires created by Alyssa Day in her Vampire Motorcycle Club series. Once I did, I was glad to catch up with familiar characters as well as some new ones.
Both Hunter and Alice were easy to like. Hunter was still coming to terms with his new life. Even though he had the same urge to protect those who needed it, he couldn’t get past the monster that he had become. Alice was slow to trust anyone, with good reason. There was something about Hunter though that made her want to trust him, even if he didn’t trust himself.
Hunter’s Hope was full of danger, suspense and mystery. It was also full of hope, love and a strong sense of family. It still had the same touch of humor that I enjoyed in Bane’s Choice, but it seemed to have a more serious vibe. I still enjoyed it though and the rest of the supporting characters were just as intriguing. It’s obvious that there’s more to come in the Vampire Motorcycle Club and things are sure to get even more interesting.
Hunter is the good guy Turned into… a good guy even as a vampire. He must make peace and accept its vampirism with all the pluses and the minuses (many yet to be discovered and mastered) that are a full-package deal. Lucky him, and us, he quickly meets his Alice. Lucky is just a way of saying because, at least at first, the attraction he feels for her is dangerously challenged by his attraction for her blood.
And because I mention pluses and minuses, let see… the pluses: Alyssa Day gives us vampires, werewolves, warlocks, ghosts, angels – the fallen type, demons, and dragons. Some are friends, some are lovers, others are allies and some are enemies. She puts the friends and allies together and generously adds humour with an extra sexiness and passion for the lovers’ interactions. After that, she starts (T)urning the alarm signs spread on the way since the beginning into real dangers and lets the enemies make their presence known. Death, the real, permanent one for our vampires, werewolves, angels, and demons is just collateral for the bad, cruel, corrupt, and lethal enemies. Lowering the guard is a mistake that could (T)urn any expected denouement.
As a minus, yes, vampires and werewolves are looking great on their Harleys but there is no MC in this Vampire MC story. Admitting that romance is the focus of the story, still, I would have liked a better developed “battle against the evil”.
Anyway, Alyssa Day’s Hunter’s Hope is a quick read of which trump is Alice's wittiness shown in her dialogues and monologues. Her swift, smart, and frank lines and comebacks kept me amused and fresh during vampires’ hours.
PS1: the volumes are connected through the characters, but they are standalone; the common plot is identifiable but not pursued as the Hunter’s Hope plays only on Alice’s front.
PS2: I want "a" Charlie...

From Lala’s Book Reviews
This is the second book in the Vampire Motorcycle Club following Hunter after his transformation into a vampire is complete after all of the events in the first book.
I would recommend to read the first book of the series, Bane’s Choice, first although this book could probably be read by itself since Hunter isn’t in the first book a whole lot and Alice is introduced in this book.
Alyssa is an amazing story teller. She has the great gift of being able to write an amazing storyline and plot with such authentic characters. The plot and the characters work so harmonious together to make you forget that you’re reading as you see everything play out right before you eyes.
Hunter is in this tough position as he’s dealing with the transformation of becoming a vampire and accepting the fact that his life has changed. He finds it hard to believe that such a short time ago he was saving lives as a firefighter and know could easily end them with his new powers and abilities. Since he’s awoken from his change, Hunter’s had a hard time processing everything and is just in a blah mood until he meets Alice one night.
Alice has a bright soul that is willing to help any animal that she comes across and is spending all of her time and resources to keep her animal rescue afloat. She has the special gift of being able to project emotions to animals which comes in handy when trying to convey a sense of calmness and peace to all of those that she’s trying to help, and she also has the ability to see and communicate with ghosts. Which is the reason why her past is so dark and brutal.
But, she was able to come out on the other side and build a life for herself where she’s not afraid of the gifts that she has.
One the night that Alice met Hunter, she thought he was a ghost that was trying to make an appointment with her. Little did she know that there are more paranormal creatures in the world and the ghosts that she talks to barely scratch the surface of the paranormal world.
As the two start to get to know one another, the sparks start to fly, but Hunter is still trying to get his cravings under control. And with all of that going on, The Chamber is trying to stir up trouble to get Alice back in order to do whatever evilness they’ve been planning.
Hunter takes it upon himself to be Alice’s protector because deep down in his soul, he realizes that Alice is his and will do anything in his power to keep her safe.
I love Alice because she’s such kind and considerate person despite all of the trauma that she’s been through. Even though she doesn’t have the powers that Hunter and the other’s have, she tries to keep her new family safe to the best to her abilities. She sees the good in the world and is trying to show Hunter that even though he’s having a hard time adjusting, he isn’t the monster that he makes himself to be.
