Not only is this a useful guide, it's also quite interesting reading. The "business" advice (how to handle auditions, on-set behavior and expectations, etc.) reminded me of Jenna Fischer's book, in a good way. It's helpful, clear, and accessible information.

The most valuable part of this text is the detailed instructions on how to self-tape. Given that it seems like that's going to be a permanent, and even increasing, part of casting, the nitty-gritty of exactly how to do it effectively is something lots of aspiring actors can benefit from.

This is definitely recommended reading for drama students or anyone hoping to act professionally in this brave new world. It's even fascinating for outsiders just looking for a peek behind the curtain, so to speak.

Many thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review!
