Such a sweet and accessible children's book written on an important topic. Adoption is a major life event for families, and to have an inspiring picture book like this is one way to help children cope and talk about it with their families. Highly recommend for libraries, schools, and personal libraries!
Thank you so much Netgalley and the publisher for the advanced copy in exchange for honest opinion!
It was a brilliant book about numerous ways of being kind and sharing unlimited love with people and pets around us. The illustrations are colourful and match the joyous vibe of the story. Highly recommended!
I read this book with my 8 and 10 year old daughters and this review is a result of our combined thoughts after discussing our reading experience together.
The pictures in this book were absolutely gorgeous, they drew us in with all the colour, detail and the movement within each scene. Each picture invited really interesting conversations about what was going on and how the scenes enhanced our thoughts of spreading love and kindness.
The text within the story jumped around a little too much, touching on adoption, religion, family and fears, leaving us asking why those things were included without being explored. We would have preferred to have seen a deeper exploration of love and kindness which flowed smoothly with the single focus.
The rhyming felt almost music like and we really enjoyed the way the words sounded as we read them aloud. The musical quality matched beautifully with the colourful and vibrant pictures.
I was so excited when I saw I was approved to receive a digital ARC of "What Will I Do with My Love Today?" on NetGalley. I love Kristin Chenoweth. She is an adorable little ball of sunshine and this book just proves it even more. This book is about little Kristin, along with her family and friends, spreading God's love everywhere that they can. This book shows kids several ways you can show love to others and shows that Kristin's parents showed love by adopting her and later adopting a sweet little puppy that helps spread the love to those around them. I absolutely loved this book and I can't wait to purchase a physical copy for me and all the little ones in my life. Even though I love Kristin and I think she's amazing and talented, I would still love this book even if I didn't know it was written by her. It's very sweet and filled my heart with a lot of joy.
Thank you Netgalley, Kristin Chenoweth, and the publisher for giving me a preview of this book in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

This is a delightful picture book. I love the positive message and the illustrations were on point as well I will be adding this to our school library to share with my students. I am excited to have them share the ways they can spread their love just like the little girl in the story.
5 stars
How can you share all the love you have inside you each and every day? This book shares a beautiful message about being generous with our kindness and caring. It shares so many examples of how we can show love to others, to animals and the planet every day. This is a fantastic topic for children to dive into with their families, especially when it comes to generosity and how giving of ourselves is more important than giving a tangible gift. The illustrations were cute and the story was entertaining.
This book also discusses the topic of adoption. The main character adopts a puppy. This could be a great way to discuss adopting a pet or even the adoption of a new brother or sister. Kindness is such an important thing to teach children to practice every day.
Incorporating social and emotional education into children's picture books is a tried and true way to teach an important life skill in a way that is fun. This would be an amazing addition for classroom libraries, counselling offices and more. Families may also enjoy having this as a book to read aloud and discuss. Definitely one that children should read. The text of the book is at a lower level that beginning readers could read independently with the assistance of an adult. But, reading this as a family or as a class will give an adult an opportunity to direct the conversation around this book since the themes and subject matter are so important.
This may be the sweetest book I’ve ever read. If you don’t have a smile on your face after reading this you are a grumpy Gus! The illustrations are so colorful and pretty. The story is sweet and just the right length for little ones!!
*received for free from netgalley for honest review* omg, this is just the cutest book! The artwork is absolutely adorable and the story is just so cute. will have to buy this lol
This was a super sweet book. I loved the illustration and the diversity shown in the book. I think kids would be drawn in to the little girl and the puppy and learn meaningful lessons along the way.
I received this arc in exchange for my honest review.
This was a fun read! The illustrations are captivating and the story is so simple and sweet. How can we share our love with others? Doesn't have to be hard or time consuming or expensive and we can keep passing that love on.
Wonderful story about love and kindness. It’s beautifully illustrated, will tug at your heart and bring a tear to your eye!
I enjoyed this book. I cannot wait to read it to my daughter and see what she thinks of it.
Love is cherish-able and as expandable as a person wants it to be.
Such a sweet uplifting story and message. I love that she incorporated adoption, both pretty and human. I don’t get how we went from getting ice cream and spreading our love to just getting a puppy though. I think that part of the story should have been better flushed out as it comes across as an acceptable spot of the moment thing to just do.
This was an adorable story. At first though I thought it was a story about her and her dog named Love and the adventures they would go through. Until I realized that that was not the case. It was still a good story that I enjoyed. And the illustrations were so nice and went well with the story.
My daughters and I enjoyed this cute story. The story and illustrations go well together and encourage kindness and love. It would be a great book for kids of all ages.
Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book for my honest opinion.
I love Kristin Chenoweth from her part in many broadway production. That's one of the reasons why I'm so excited to read this one. It is easy to recognize her love for music and singing throughout this book. A lot of the examples what the character does when she's happy includes singing and dancing. Even the opening is a picture of "broadway-esque" performance on the street!
I liked the idea of the book, but the plot seems to went very differently from what I pictured. Nevertheless, the illustrations are still enjoyable and the message still come across. I believe parents and children alike will enjoy this book, especially those who love (or already has) pets.
Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for providing me the ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.
This is a sweet, fun, beautifully illustrated book about love and friendship. A young girl, Kristi Dawn, wonders how she can share her love and finds lots of ways to do it. She sings in the choir at church, helps a neighbour in her garden and sings in the grocery store to make others smile and feel happy. She ends up adopting a puppy to share all the love in her heart. She and Thunder start working together to help others and make them happy. The narrative is written in rhyme and has a nice cadence making it a great read aloud. The illustrations are large and colourful and full of happy, smiling characters. Themes are obviously about kindness, generosity, helpfulness and family, but also animal adoption and dealing with fear. Overall a sweet story that would be a great one to read and include in discussions about Random Acts of Kindess.
I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
The pictures in this book are really cute. And the message of the book is fantastic. This book will help children think about all the ways they can be more loving!
This was such a darling book. I read this with my son & we both enjoyed it. It's a delightful book about a little girl who finds joy and love in the little things in her day. She loves to help people by sharing her love, she does things like helping her neighbour with their garden, singing and dancing to make people smile, and helping look after her sweet little puppy. The illustrations are bright and colourful, drawing in the eye & making the book a page turner. All in all a sweet read for small children. I was given a digital ARC via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
