Honestly I struggled to finish reading this book. I didn't like either Charlotte or Jack, this seemed to really get on my nerves. High hopes from the description but this was just not for me.
I have given She Likes Piña Coladas by Brittanee Nicole five out of five stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This book was everything I needed at this precise moment in time! It was humorous, romantic, cheesy, sexy and emotional. I absolutely adored the primary and secondary characters we get to meet and learn about. The chemistry between our main characters, Jack and Charlotte, was off the scale and had me rooting for them so badly! The amount of times Brittanee Nicole decided to throw my emotions around because of the uncertainty as to whether they would end up together was ridiculous!
The tropes of this book are second chance romance and vacation romance; two of which I thoroughly enjoyed reading about and thought they were written by Brittanee Nicole superbly!
Jack and Charlotte have my whole heart.
I really hope to read the rest of the books in this series in the near future, as I can’t get enough of this author’s writing!
Book wasn't meant for me. Hopefully someone will enjoy it more. I will look into renting it in the future
This was such a fun and quick read. Loved the second chance for Charlotte and Jack, even after all these years.
How many people have held a particular date/person as the bar all others have to live up to? I know I have and I'm sure others have too. I do wish that, although warranted, there had been less time spent on the confusion and hurt Charlotte felt from Jack's secrets. Again, definitely warranted.
The lust and drama mixed with relatable characters and experiences really tied me into the story and had me truly rooting for Jack and Charlotte. Looking forward to seeing what comes along in the rest of the Bristol Bay Series.
who doesn't love Pina Coladas and the song makes me love it. I enjoyed this book and story. Must read.
This was my first book by this author, It was pretty enjoyable. I would give this book a 4 star rating! It was a pretty Quick and easy read!
This one was a lovely read. I really enjoyed reading this one. I just love this kind of books.
4 stars read for me
A super summery read which I sadly found a little too far fetched and convoulted to enjoy. It would be a great beach read for summer breaks.
I was provided with a free ebook copy of this book in exchange for an unbiased review. Thank you to the author, the publisher and NetGalley for this.
She Like Pina Coladas is a steamy romance novel that follows a blossoming romance between Charlotte and Jack. Charlotte and Jack spent one perfect night together but when Charlotte woke up, he was gone. 6 years later, Charlotte has gone through a bad break up and is looking for an anonymous travel buddy to go to the Azores islands with her for a summer fling. But when she rocks up to the airport, it's Jack, the man from 6 years ago. Jack had left her all those years ago because he was about to go on deployment with the air force. He loves her and wants her back but ghosts from his past won't make that easy.
I rated this 3 stars because whilst I enjoyed the book, I was put off by how quickly the characters fell for each other and how they continued to be so keen on each other despite having massive communication issues. I understand that romance novels aren't supposed to be 100% believable 100% of the time but I think it was just a bit too much in this and it made me lose interest about halfway through the book. The steamy scenes were really well written and I loved the island setting.
Overall, a good easy read but I've definitely read romance novels that I prefer.
Jack and Charlotte and meant to be together. They must endure a few bumps in the road, but the journey is so worth it for them. This was a fantastic heartwarming , emotion filled, laugh out loud at times, second chance romance novel .
This was one of my most fun reads of 2021. It was funny and heartwarming I read it in one day. Made me want to go have a Pina Coloda myself......... and I did!
6 years ago when she was drunk, Charlotte met her dream man who looked after her, fed her and got her home safely and then left during the night without leaving any contact info. Since then, he has been the man all others have been judged against and she has looked for him everywhere. Jack is a pilot who is traumatised by the death of his best friend and is looking for the woman of his dreams that he left behind. When the two of them arrange to go on a holiday together, their worlds collide and they start a relationship that is not without its troubles. I really enjoyed this read.
A fun and a breezy read. Though the trope works well ,it becomes monotonous at some point. On the whole it was a good read and a best holiday read.
She likes Pina Coladas
You will fall in love and laugh out loud reading this one! I was interested in this one to try out a new author & who doesn't love this summer vibe!
This book is more of a contemporary romance and I was here for it. I was absolutely in love with Jack, the perfect book boyfriend to swoon over. Charlotte is self-aware and grows throughout the novel while falling in love. I loved the setting of vacation/island and the author gave really good visualizations throughout the novel.
Love the concept of this book. It's so catchy, however, the writing just wasn't there for me. Found it difficult to remain focused on the plot.
This was such a lovely and fun romantic comedy! The cover and the title caught my attention, and the book held it! Charlotte and Jake are adorable together, and I loved seeing their relationship grow. This is a great summer/vacation/beach read!
SO MUCH LOVE for She Likes Pina Coladas by Brittanee Nicole! Great debut novel and one of my top three reads of this year. Highly recommended for anyone who can't resist second chances at love…and maybe pina coladas too! #SheLikesPinaColadas #NetGalley
If you're looking for a cute and heartwarming romance story, you'll love this debut novel by Brittanee Nicole! This second chance romance will tug at your heart strings and have you all in your feels! After meeting each other 6 years ago and spending one incredible night together, Charlotte can't help but compare the men she dates to the mystery man she met. And Jack can't stop thinking about Charlotte, the one he let get away. When fate brings these two together again, Jack is determined not to lose Charlotte again. But will his past stop him from being the man that Charlotte deserves? This is a steamy, swoon-filled loved story with some funny moments as well. I can't wait to read the second book in this series🍹!
"It started with a simple message from the man known as Pina Coladas: Message me and Escape."
✨She Likes Pina Coladas by Brittanee Nicole ✨
Talk about the perfect beachy, vacation read! I devoured this book in one day while laying by the pool and drinking pina coladas (not to be cliche, but totally being cliche 😆)
I loveddd the story of Charlotte and Jack however I also thoroughly enjoyed their characters individually. There was comedy, romance, wonderful best friendships, family dynamics, and steam 🔥
While the whole premise was slightly unrealistic (I'm definitely NOT putting an ad out for a stranger to accompany me to Azores), I still totally fell in love with this book.
Fabulous debut novel for this author 👏
Save this post when you're jet-setting off to your next beachy vacation.
Thank you @netgalley for this #giftedbook

Girl meets boy, boy leaves girl but they never forget each other until they finally are reunited years later. This really isn’t something I would typically choose to read, but since I truly DO like pina coladas, I couldn’t pass it up! The main characters, Charlotte and Jack, have their own flaws and issues to work through, but they realize they are worth the work. The story was really predictable and cheesy, but who doesn’t love a feel-good rom-com? Especially after I just finished a heavier read. Plus, where I come from, St. Patrick’s Day is a pretty big holiday so the book starting off with that was very relatable for me.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the copy in exchange for my review! I will be posting this review to my Instagram blog (books_by_the_bottle).
