Danielle Steele is the queen of feel good romance. Invisible is a beautiful story about a woman who overcomes her worst fears in pursuit of her greatest dreams. Invisible tells an emotional story of Antonio and the feelings of loneliness, inadequacies, emptiness and fears that have reigned over her life since she was a child. While living in the protective bubble she created for herself, she finally found her inspiration. She was likable, easily relatable and I loved watching her grow.
Highly recommended! Thank you Netgalley, Random House Publishing Delacorte Press and Danielle Steele for allowing me the privilege of reviewing Invisible.
Invisible broke me, put me back together and broke me again. From a young age, Antonia is never seen, books are her refuge and she is forced to raise and entertain herself. Antonia spends her life going from being invisible to being seen and then invisible again. Her story is tragic and heartbreaking and I loved the journey that Steel takes the reader on even when she guts you and makes you wonder how those who are supposed to be your biggest supporter can be so evil and heartless, but shows you that you can't give up and life can still be beautiful.
Another great book by one of my favorite authors!!! I love stories where I can follow a character (Antonia) throughout her life - and to literally SEE what makes her who she is. Her mom SUCKS - her dad tried (at the beginning) yet - he ends up sucking too. This poor woman went through hell and back, victorious and successful! She was the mom that she never had - and thankfully her step mother stayed part of her life and was kind loving and generous. This was a pretty quick read and I thoroughly enjoyed it - as I do all Danielle Steel books!!
I was given an digital copy of Invisibly by Netgalley in exchange for an honest review :)
The novel is truly a keeper. Something worth one's time. The enjoyable tale keeps one flipping from page to page. Not at all dull. One of Steel's better stories. Short and precise. As in all Steel's books, love overcomes pain. Place, time, and themes are different in this one, which made Invisible stand out from her other tales. I won't give away the plot or characters, but the tale was certainly different from her other recent stories and stands out as very entertaining. Not a cliché. Not recycled Steel. Short. Potent. Perfect for a weekend.. .
I’m fairly new to the Danielle Steel fan club, and I found this to be an enjoyable addition to her collection of bestsellers. Thanks for letting me read it!
Antonia has always wanted to feel “invisible.” Deserted by her mother and ignored by her father for whole life, she sets her sights on what she wants out of life and to stay invisible until someone comes along that makes her feel wanted. The book has ups and downs, loves and losses. It takes you from Antonia’s childhood until she is grown. It is a good book, and I would recommend it. The ending was not what I expected as it just stopped, but still, I would recommend it. Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for allowing me early access to review it.
Hearing that there's a new Steel, I'm always ready for a new story! This one doesn't disappoint and I thank #NetGalley and the publisher for giving me the opportunity to read another riveting read my the Queen of Romance.
Danielle Steel's books are known for their romance and the strong women who overcome adversity to reach their goals.
Written in such rich detail, it is easy to feel sorry, then outraged, for Antonia as her parents treat each other and their child, Antonia, so badly that this young child sts the goal of remaining "invisible" to her parents. As she grows, her homelife never improves, so Antonia escapes by reading and watching as many movies as she can. She finds herself dreaming of a career in film making, but never in front of the camera. Many influences cause Antonia to change her goals several times but she always comes back to screen writing. She will find romance, love and respect along the way, overcoming the adversity as only a Danielle Steel character can.
Another great read by a longtime master writer.
I don't read every Danielle Steel book but I'm happy I choose this one. It's a love story that is not predictable at all. Antonia Adams is the product of a loveless marriage between a beautiful young model and an aristocrat. As a child, she is abandoned in the abyss that yawns between them, blamed by her mother, ignored by her father, and neglected by both. Unprotected and unloved, she learns that the only way to feel safe is to hide from the dangers around her, drawing as little attention as possible to herself, to be "invisible." She want's to become a screen writer and director which she eventually does achieve but in between there is heartache and amazing love. Ms. Steel has a knack for drawing you into the story and amazing you. I hope there is a sequel with Antonia's children's story. I received a copy of this ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.
Thank you to #NetGalley.
Invisible was one of her better books in my opinion and I loved everything about it. It was sad yet happy and I don't recall her writing a book like this in any that I've read so far and that's a lot. To me she never disappoints especially this one.
The characters were well developed and it was sad the way that Antonia was treated by her father and unfortunately compared her to her mother who left her and her father at age 7. It was amazing how she grew up living with a bitter father but then she got a step-mother who loved her and she loved back.
Her life growing up wasn't that great but as she got older and in college and got an internship in at a movie studio. She always wanted to be a writer of movies and not an actress but that changed. She met a wonderful director and married him. Sadness came to her unfortunately but then at the end all was well again with her life and her two kids who she had at age 24 & 25.
Invisible tells tells the story of Antonia, who is the daughter of two parents who do not want her. She learns to live without any parental help or support as her mother leaves when she is a child and her father develops a cold heart to her. She finds her true love while working in college as an intern, but after a few happy years, her husband dies and leaves her with a 9 month old son and a child on the way. The only way Antonia learns how to cope is to be invisible and internalize all of her issues.
Another great Danielle Steel novel.
Another easy read by Danielle Steel. Antonia is the daughter of two horrible parents who have no room in their lives for their delicate child. She becomes invisible as a way to escape from her loveless house filled with anger and fighting. This book traces the life of Antonia as she escapes these awful people and grows up to be a wonderful women. This is not a page turner and the ending was a bit boring, but it was a quick and satisfying book that I enjoyed.
I would like to start by thanking NetGalley and the publisher for a copy of this book. In exchange, here is my honest review: Another masterpiece by an exceptional author.
At one time I wanted to collect all of # Danielle Steel's novels. Then 2019 and a accident made it feel impossible. # lnvisible is a touching, heartwarming novel. 💜🐾🐾

I will always read anything Danielle Steel writes. Invisible was just as amazing as I thought it would be. I can always count on her to get me out of a reading slump.
Thank you NetGalley. I loved this story. Antonia Adams's parents did not love each other or her. She spent her time hiding in small places to stay safe. Her mother left to be an actress. Her father was gone most of the time starting new businesses. She went to college to learn to be a screen writer. She went to LA each summer of college to learn the business. Her last summer she worked for a director who became her husband. They had four years together before he died. She was expecting her second child. After her daughter was born she bought a farm and raised the children there. She wrote screen plays and directed. Friends thought her life was lonely but she was happy. The story takes her to finding someone again after her children are grown. Through much of her life she is alone but she learns to live with it and retreat there when she needs it.
I felt a bit let down with Invisible. It was very repetitious and at first, I thought it was me but then realized it wasn't. It is an emotional story about a girl whose mother didn't want anything to do with her from the time she became pregnant and then, her father didn't want anything to do with her either.
The first Danielle Steel book I really enjoyed in a long time. I read this book in one setting, as I was unable to put it down. The story was a gut-wrenchingly raw rendition of the emotional abuse a child can suffer at the hands of neglectful parents. Antonia Adams was born to Brandon Adams, a workaholic and to Fabienne Adams, a wannabe actress. Antonia found it better to just be invisible!

Antonia Adams, caught between parents dealing with their own grievances,is a beautiful child , who hides in plain sight. Getting a dream job as screenwriter put her on a path to a love deep and future far beyond the dreams of childhood. Forced into the spotlight in the movies, tragedy strikes unexpectedly and moves Antonia to choices and voices from the past.
Invisible is a beautiful story about a young woman's heartbreaking childhood and how it affected her growing up and throughout her life. Once again Danielle Steel did not disappoint with an engaging storyline and well developed characters. From the first page to the last I was cheering for Antonia to find happiness and get her happily ever after.
