This book did not disappoint I cant wait until it launches so others can get their hands on this GEM! We meet Antonia, who grew up pretty much abandoned. Her mother walked out on her and her dad was there but not present in her life. She always felt she was a burden to her mom and dad that she chose to disappear, she doesn't stand out, she doesn't make noise, and she is awkward as hell. Going to the movies was the only thing she looked forward to doing, she also found refuge in writing her own screenplays.
I am going to leave that right there!!!! Because I don't want to give away too much. But I love Antonia, she is a go getter, she doesn't give up, and she has the most amazing people by her side. She meets a well known director who she was interning for, and a career she was not expecting came out of that first summer together. For the first time Antonio didn't feel invisible with this man, and their love story made me so happy.
This book was inspirational, Antonia went through heartaches and she still kept pushing, I love how Danielle Steel creates these amazingly strong characters, and they are women of course. But a book that made you think, cry and get angry in one sitting?? My emotions were all over the place, and I was loving it.
Thanks Netgalley and the Publishers for giving me the opportunity to read this book.
Invisible is pure Danielle Steele. It is typical of her books with a heroine who is facing obstacles but manages to overcome them to find a satisfying life and love in the end. Ms. Steele's smooth narrative is one of her trademarks. This book, like her other romances, will wrap you in the satisfying writing style and make the book's journey one that is a pleasure to read and hard to put down. In this book, the heroine is an unwanted child of a businessman and his wife, both of who prefer to pursue their own careers and dreams and ignore the needs of their child. She learns that she is most comfortable being "invisible". She makes it thru school and becomes a talent in her own right, facing tragedy but finding a rewarding life in the end while keeping to life and persona that is her preference.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and recommend it to Steele fans both young and old. Thanks to Danielle Steele for continuing to entertain us with her talent. Thanks to #NetGalley#Invisible for the opportunity to read and review this book.
This is the story of a young girl who has an unfortunate childhood. Her Mother is a wanna be actress who deserts her leaving her with a bitter Father. She loves to go to movies hoping she will see her Mother in one of the movies. Throughout her childhood she learns to become invisible to people, if they can’t see you they can’t hurt you. She grows up and gradually gains confidence in herself. This was an enjoyable story, you can usually depend on Steel to write a book that holds your interest and entertains you. This book does that. Thank you to net galley for an advanced readers copy.
Invisible is about a young girl who grew up in a difficult situation finding a life she loves! This was a good story with believable and interesting characters. Enjoyed it! Thanks to the publisher for an advanced copy of the book!
Thank you to the publisher and to Net Galley for the opportunity. My review opinion is my own. This is a wonderful story by the master storyteller of women's fiction. It is a story that is heartfelt, sad and happy . It will compel you to keep turning the pages to conclusion and cheer for the main charcter. As always it is a enjoyable read that I will not retell here because each reader should enjoy it for themselves. Reading this book is a marvelous escape. in well crafted charcters, great atmospheric locations and of course family at the heart of the story. Very well done.
Antonia from a young age knows how to hide from the world. When her so called mom leaves her and her father behind. Her father continues on with his life. While Antonia does her best in school and fend
for herself. In college she has several “adult” ordeals that have her second guessing herself. She’s determined to be a screen writer, although a famous producer sees her and has other plans. He helps her come out her shell, once again to withdrawal after another tragedy strikes. Now left on her own she must learn to stop being invisible and life again for herself and her children. I actually thoroughly enjoyed this book.
Loved. reading the amazing and engaging story by the best selling author, Danielle Steel. Antonio grows up abandoned by her mother, ignored by her father, and becomes invisible reading books, seeing movies, and wanting to become a screenwriter. When Antonio meets the famous British filmmaker, he brings Antonio out of her shell. Read the highly recommended, wonderfully written and a riveting must read story.

Danielle Steel never disappoints, and “ Invisible” is no exception. Easy to read, relatable characters and a fast moving, engaging storyline. ‘Invisible’ is definitely worth adding to your To Be Read list.
Invisible is a great title as this book shows many ways to be that. Her family life and her education continue that theme. She has a best friend from college that you would think would become a more central character who ends up dying on the vine. Overall definitely worth reading!
In Invisible a young girl grows up to believe in herself and follow her dream even though the road may be bumpy, This is another interesting novel by Danielle Steel.

I am reviewing a copy of Invisible through Random House Publishing Group-Ballantine, Delacorte Press and Netgalley:
Antonia Adam’s parents existed in a loveless marriage, her Mother a beautiful young model, and her Father an aristocrat. As a child, she is abandoned in the abyss that yawns between them, blamed by her mother, ignored by her father, and neglected by both. Unprotected and unloved, she learns that the only way to feel safe is to hide from the dangers around her, drawing as little attention as possible to herself, to be “invisible.”
In her isolation, books are her refuge and movies her escape. When she is able to spend a day in a dark theater is her greatest thrill. Her love for the movies turns into a dream to become a screenwriter, and a summer job at a Hollywood studio. There, a famous British filmmaker notices her, and suddenly she can remain invisible no longer. He wants to put her in a movie and make her a star. It is a dazzling opportunity but a terrifying one, as it strips her of the camouflage that made her feel safe. Soon she is thrust into the public eye, even more so when she and the filmmaker fall in love.
Antonia will never give up on her true dream of becoming a filmmaker though, she wants to make that leap, she will have to expose herself in ways she never has before. When tragedy strikes, she must decide whether she will remain center stage or become invisible again, where she feels safest. Will she face her demons, or run and hide?
I give Invisible five out of five stars!
Happy Reding!
All I can say is you have to read this book. I absolutely loved this book. There were sad parts throughout the story but at the end it was really sweet and happy.
“ Knowing how unwelcome she was, she simply made herself small, tucked herself in somewhere, and disappeared. She always felt safe when she did. It was the only time she felt safe in a loveless world she lived in.”
Such is the life of Antonia, her parents couldn’t love her any less, there was no family, no friends.
I loved Antonia from
Page one. Such a wonderful, strong, resilient character and one that you just want a happy life for her.
I enjoyed this one very much and I recommend!
Invisible tells the story of Antonia, the daughter of a selfish model-actress and a wealthy aristocrat. Her mother has no interest in anyone but herself, and when she finally leaves her family, her husband becomes so bitter that he can't look at Antonia without remembering her mother's betrayal. Antonia leads a solitary existence, and tries to remain invisible. But in adulthood, she steps into the spotlight, when she meets a successful director who wants to put her in his movies.
I enjoyed reading about Antonia's life. The story moves quickly, and it's easy to sympathize with Antonia's lonely life. I rooted for her when the decks were stacked against her, and I cheered when she overcame the challenges life threw at her.
As usual, Steel provides an interesting story that doesn't require a lot of time or effort to read. This is a great book for reading on vacation or on a quiet evening.
Thank you to NetGalley for providing me with an advanced reader's copy in exchange for my views.
Another great book by Danielle Steel that I was unable to put down once I started.
Antonia has been "invisible" her whole life, her defense mechanism to survive in a violative house, and later a loveless home. The story takes us on the journey of Antonia's life, the struggles she has, the paths she takes, and the people she meet along the way. The book is an emotional rollercoaster, and left me rooting for the main character. As always with a Danielle Steel book, the story touched me and makes you appreciate life.
I received an advance copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
Invisible by Danielle Steel
Danielle Steel is my go-to author when I want something light and easy to read. I don’t know how she manages to write so many books so close together. While most of her storylines are very similar, I did not initially see where she she was going with Invisible. When I realized all was going so smoothly for her main character and I was not even halfway through, I knew something was going to go wrong. And, as in all her novels, something did. Some of Ms. Steel’s books are so predicable I can skim sections and not lose track of what was happening. With Invisible I didn’t. I read every enjoyable word. I enjoyed getting to know the characters and eagerly turned the page to see what was going to happen next.

I think the phrase that best describes Antonia is an "observer of life." In preferring to remain invisible to those around her, she fully retreated into herself. Yes, she was scarred by her childhood; however, she missed out on truly living especially after the death of her true love. With Hamish, she became alive. I was so happy to see her return to her true passion and talent. Just like she opened her heart to her children, she opened her heart to herself. She let the good in.
Danielle Steel always writes a book that is engaging, entertaining and one you don't want to put down. Invisible is no exception. A little predictable, but still a book I enjoyed from cover to cover.
Thank you to net galley for an early copy of this book in exchange of an honest review.
Excellent storyline with loveable and highly dislikeable characters. Another win for Danielle Steel. I don't know how she manages to write so many fantastic books.
The title, Invisible, describes the main character in Danielle Steel's newest novel when dealing with the terrible things happening to her in her life. When invisible, it is harder for people to hurt you. This novel is what I have come to expect of Danielle Steel. A quick, easy read and a fun way to pass a cold evening. I'm never disappointed with her books.
