Having enjoyed Stephanie’s previous books I was excited for this one. I myself am one who struggles with a relationship with deity. I found this book gave me a new way to look at that and strengthen my relationships.
Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for the advanced reader copy. This is my honest review.
This was a very interesting read. Through I want to point out that the priesthood is something that doesn’t really exist in most pagan and polytheist religion’s now and people will view them as brats trying to be more than they are and trying to turn the religion into a bad cult and state straight up false things about the gods and insult certain gods like Zeus for example and for there to be priests there needs to be temples and most pagan religions don’t have temples yet and to add to that there are no oracles anymore because the ways of the oracles we’re forgotten and can not be recovered since they were past to one oracle to the next. Though I did like the section about UPGs it was interesting.
It can cause people to sent abuse to other when they say that they’re an oracle or a priest and could be dangerous to someone who is very sensitive in the fact that they will try to kill themselves.
