This book is a fun and practical read that teaches you how to work in the smallest bits of magick into your everyday life. I appreciated how easy this book was to read and how easy it seems adding in a little magick can be.
Great book to turn to when starting out in the world of witches and practice. It serves as a good reference guide. Would recommend it to my friends who want to learn more
This is a great beginners guide. It touches on the wheel of the year, moon phases, elements, and tarot. Also included are rituals and practices. Everything you need to begin your own practice.
Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for the advanced reader copy. This is my honest review.
This is a great beginner's guide to living a witch life. The Wheel of the Year, moon phases, elements, tarot, rituals and practices are all included.
I received a copy of this book for a fair and honest review. It is no surprise that life does get busy and that there is not often a time for magick. I get that all too well. There are parts of this book that I found very useful. I am not into tarot but there is a section for that as well. I enjoy the parts of the sabbats, crafts, meditation, and trance work, that there was a glossary in case there was something I did not remember, and basic for me as a refresher. I will definitely go back to this book from time to time to use it again.
This is a great beginner's guide. It walks theough the basics of the Wheel of the Year, moon phases, elements, and tarot. It also includes rituals and practices. I think that it would be a great introductory text.
I wanted this book to help me reconnect with my spirituality at a time when things seemed bleak. Something I struggle with is making my spirituality routine and immersing it in my life. From the blurb and title, I thought this was going to be a quick and practical every day guide. However, it contained long Sabbat portions, which is great for looking at the Wheel of the Year, but missing the mark of the "everyday witch." There are so many great books on Sabbats. This book missed an opportunity to be my go-to everyday reference.
This book immediately went on my 'have to own this book'' list. A great reference book for anyone who wants to practice witch craft. Beautifully written and great basic information.
One of those book that are perfect if you are at the beginning of the Path but can also helps you to rediscover parts that needed to be refreshed.
Well written, informative.
Recommended.
Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC, all opinions are mine
Witch Life by Emma Kathryn is the perfect book to add to my collection. The cover is stunning and I love the art style, it makes me want to read and display it. But it is also a valuable book. This practical guide helps keep you inspired and connected to your spirituality. I appreciate the focus that is placed on purpose and staying present. This book really encourages the reader to explore their practice more and to embrace your magical strengths.
This is really a witch's guide to life. It will teach you spells and rituals and also how to make charms. You will learn how to make time in this hectic world for meditation as well as practical tips on how to make your business thrive. I really enjoyed this book. I found it to be very helpful. I added this to my library. I would recommend this book.
This is an introduction to the craft. It covers holidays and observances, basic spells, altars and meditations. It isn't an in-depth look into the craft but it is great for those new to the craft or those with basic questions.
As I said in another review, I am just beginning my journey and studies at the ripe old age of 38. I love anything that helps me on my path, and this book certainly falls into that category. Would recommend to other baby witches.
Lots of good information in an easy to read format. Just very similar to a bunch of others I've been reading as well. Would recommend for a beginner.
This is a thoughtful and well designed introduction to witchcraft. Emma Kathryn breaks down the tools and techniques in an easy and understandable way. This would also be a good book to refer back to if, like me, you have trouble remembering the details.
An introductory book for many subjects. Candle magic, rituals, healing, hexes and much more are covered. I would buy this for a new witch. I received this book from Net Galley and Llewellyn Worldwide for a honest review. This is it.
An introduction with some explanations to a number of things in the pagan/witchy life. A number of spells, rituals, and things to do.
This is an introduction to the craft. It covers holidays and observances, basic spells, altars and meditations. It isn't an in-depth look into the craft but it is great for those new to the craft or those with basic questions.
This was an okay book. I feel like, while it had all the basic information, it wasn’t really enough, like there was no depth to the themes explored. Also, the title and synopses boast that this book is going to help you with your everyday practice, but none of it is actually practical for everyday busy people. Basically, it’s not really a useful book. There’s better out there.
This book was simple, clearly laid out, and informative, Just what I needed right now. I have already put in a request for my colleague to purchase this for our non-fiction collection, as I feel it is a valuable addition.
