Thank you for the early copy but this was not for me.
I had a hard time getting into any holiday book this year.
It was to slow and I didn't love the story.

First of all, I desperately want to go stay in a lighthouse after reading this! Mia returns back to the lighthouse her grandmother ran, after her beloved grandmother passed away.
.
Mia’s life is in New York, but when she returns home she’s not so sure about that anymore. In the lighthouse she finds a mysterious picture, not to mention handsome Will. She questions everything and soon finds where her home truly is.

Thank you #bookouture and #NetGalley for an arc in exchange for an honest review
Quite a bit of serendipity in this seaside tale of a beloved lighthouse that needs more TLC than the owners have to give. But two are better than one, love conquers all, and everyone loves a lighthouse…. So it’s a happily ever after for the new couple, the family, and the town.
Grandma Ruth has passed from cancer and left behind the family legacy, a lighthouse that is struggling under debt. Mia comes home from New York dealing with her own problems and promising to help her family. She hires real estate agent Will Thacker and using all her savings, she is renovating the lighthouse to put it on the market. Spending a few nights in Grandma Ruth's home attached to the lighthouse, they pack up her things and share memories.
I don't want to give away anymore of the story because it is one to experience without knowing where the storyline is going. I loved the characters, Mia, her sister Shelby, mother Alice as well as Will, his sister Kate and her son Felix. They were so realistic, with relatable lives and promises. Felix was adorable and I just wanted to reach into the book and give him a hug. All the things I love about Jenny Hale's books was here. We have family connections, some angst, a bit of a mystery, some romance, friendship, grief, reconciliation and some romance. I love the Christmas cheer that takes place when staging the home as well as the planning of the PR company Christmas Party that Mia is also planning while all these other things are on her plate. Mia is wonder woman, trying to be everything to everyone and I love that she grows and figures out what she really wants in life. The setting was absolutely magical. Being snowed in by a lake in a lighthouse, sounds like a beautiful place to spend the holidays. This is a wonderful Christmas story with hope and an uplifing finish. One I definitely recommend.
A feel good Christmas book that has everything you want for a festive read. When Mia returns to her childhood home to sell her late grandmothers home, a lighthouse she has cherished memories of, she is struggling to come to terms with the end of her marraige. She soon meets handsome estate agent, Will who has his own demons to battle. Will offers the arm of friendship Mia needs as she struggles from one disaster to another in order to get the lighthouse ready for sale. Is her future waiting for her . This book was very entertaining and utterly romantic at the end.
This book had everything that I enjoy reading in a Christmas romance novel--family secrets and reunions, characters that are relatable, lovable and inspiring, a new chance at finding love, Christmas miracles, a cozy atmosphere and a big fat Christmas party to end it all on a happy ending! A perfect plot worthy for a Hallmark Christmas movie. And the setting is a Lighthouse! I have always been intrigued by lighthouses and it was fun to read a Christmas romance situated around one. By the time the lighthouse and its connecting barn were transformed into all its Christmas glory, I just wanted to go live there.
My thanks to NetGalley, the publisher Bookouture and the author Jenny Hale for the e-Arc of the book. This is my first book by Jenny Hale and I can see why she is so popular.
This was a delightful read, as are all Jenny's books, with all of the Christmas spirit, family feuds and emotional moments. The characters within this book all held so much charm to the story and were a pleasure to read about. I absolutely loved it.
Jenny Hale has become one of my favorite authors. This book was so good, so heartwarming, and a wonderful Christmas read, however, it wasn't my favorite of hers...which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. I always enjoy Jenny's writing and her stories are always set in fun locations, which is one of the reasons why I find her stories so amazing. This story, set around a historic lighthouse, is a must read for anyone looking for a Christmas book full of romance, family, and holiday spirit.
Another lovely book by Jenny Hale to get you in the Christmas mood. Full of romance, secrets, likeable characters and new challenges with the heartbreak of loss as well making this a warm read that draws you in from the first pages
A quaint and cozy story that takes place at Christmas time.
The characters are relatable as are the issues raised in this book.
I appreciated the family relationships between Mia, Riley, and their mom, Alice.
A perfect book to get you in the Christmas spirit with a little love and romance sprinkled in.
A Lighthouse Christmas is a fun, fast read for the holidays complete with a lighthouse (obviously) a marriage on the rocks, a handsome and charming realtor, the loving bond of a family and what happens when you finally follow your heart. Such a sweet read and while it did not center all on Christmas time, all the scenes with snow made me feel like I was in my own winter wonderland.
Thank you NetGalley and Bookouture for this ARC. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
3.5 stars rounded up to 4. This story has all the characteristics of my favourite Christmas books: resolving grief over the loss of a dear family member which leads to a little family mystery/drama, a new romance between characters that have been recently hurt, and a big Christmas party! Add in lots of food descriptions and some home renos and you have a sweet, touching story that is perfect to read in December.
Thanks to Netgalley for the e-ARC!
Romantic, sweet, thoughtful and oozing with holiday spirit. When I need a feel good romantic read, I think of Jenny Hale! Thank you netgalley for this arc in exchange for my honest opinion.
With her marriage over and her beloved Grandmother dead, Mia returns to her childhood home to help her mother and sister pack up the family Lighthouse which will need to be sold to pay their debts. Just when Mia thought things would never look up, she meets Will, a local real estate agent with his own grief and issues. As Will and Mia challenge each other to find happiness, Mia's soon to be ex husband throws a curve ball their way. Will Mia go back to what she knows or will she continue to move forward? A beautiful story.
A Lighthouse Christmas was like a warm cup of coffee by a roaring fire, delightful and satisfying. I loved the characters in this story, the challenges they faced, and the ultimate warm and happy ending. I would highly recommend this book to anyone looking for an engaging and lovely holiday read.
Mia returns to help sort out all of her dear Grandmother's possessions at her home which is the lighthouse.
Memories are at every turn. Her divorce is looming and life choices being put to the test Meeting Will with immediate feelings for him. She also has loose ends and to find a much needed venue for the company where they both worked. The family lighthouse at the center of it all.
Can they keep it in the family or will they have to sell?
I gave it 4 stars, I sweet Christmas story to read!!!
If you are looking for a lighthearted read that allows you to escape for a bit into a easy to digest story, this is for you! I found the story to be a little far fetched and cheesy, but I believe a lot of Christmas stories tend to be this way, which allows us to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the holiday season.
This book would be perfect for anyone looking for a lighthearted, but far fetched Christmas romance. The characters and their lives were easy to escape into.
For me, it felt a little too cheesy and unbelievable (but maybe I'm just too cynical for this type of romance novel). I would give it three stars.
I really enjoyed A Lighthouse Christmas by Jenny Hale. It was a lovely, heartwarming read from the beginning to the end. It was great to read another of Jenny’s books and left me all Christmassy. Read in one sitting I could not put it down.
Mia came to Winsted Cape to pack up the cottage where her Grandmother. Ruth had lived. She and Will Thacker restore the historical building but Mia is forced to sell it. A photograph gives the key to saving the lighthouse and her romance with Will.
