This third book in the Ellie Reeves series was so high octane it was crazy. Another serial keeps killer is on the loose. Poor Ellie just can’t get a break. The killer is wack a doodle insane. When a high profile victim goes missing it’s all hands on deck. This is the best book in the series so far. This story is so intense it’s hard to put down. Just another reason why I love this author so much.
Wow what a story, this one might just be a new favorite of mine out of the three I've read so far but that's hard to say , because books 2 and 3 also had stuff in that I loved about the stories, but this one really had the creepy factor more to it then them, you could almost reach out and touch and see the killer coming to life right before your eyes, his the type that you wouldn't want to meet in a dark room or meet any where for that matter.
If you loved the first 3 books in the series you will love the return of Detective Ellie Reeves in book 4! Action packed from start to finish, I literally could not put it down!
Crooked Creek is the setting, Detective Ellie Reeves a woman who has focused on an put away the “devious, twisted predators who thrived on the weak and vulnerable”. Yet another depraved and delusional serial killer is in her mountains and she will stop at nothing until he is caught. Supporting Ellie in her hunt are the two men who love her and will do anything to protect her FBI Agent Derrick Fox and Ranger Cord McClain, and yet again Ellie proves she can hold her own.
Another excellent book in the Detective Ellie Reeves series. In this instalment Ellie is on the case of another series killer in her town.
She continues to be at odds with the Sheriff, this far a truly unlikable guy, although hopefully he will start to change his ways.
Ellie finally seems ready to make a decision as far as Derrick is concerned… and about dawn time!
Thanks to NetGalley and publisher for the read. Can’t wait to see where Ellie’s story takes us next.
Detective Ellie Reeves latest case uncovers another serial killer in their midst and he has racked up the bodies.
Ellie is still dealing with finding out how she came to be. Trying to deal with her real mother who is locked up in a psychiatric hospital lost in her own mind from the trauma she endured from the mad Doctor who raped and impregnated so many women. She is called out to the mountains where a frozen body of a woman has just been discovered. In her investigation she find out this woman went missing eleven years ago. Why is she just showing up now? And when another woman goes missing she realizes the killer is still active and she needs to stop him now.
From the beginning we are given the killers point of view and boy is he one messed up psycho. Lots of thrills and chills through out this one.
I could be wrong but it looks like Ellie finally makes a decision on the romance front. I hope it sticks as she deserves some happiness in at least on part of her life. This was a great thriller and look forward to more in the series.
Detective Ellie Reeves is at the scene where a young woman’s frozen body has been found. She is the middle of investigating the governors missing daughter and hopes the body isn’t her. They soon discover that there may be other missing women connected to their case. This book captured my attention from the first page. It is a bit bloody in spots, which may bother some people. Who is the killer and can they catch him before more lives are lost. Couldn’t wait to see how this one would end. Thank you to net galley for an advanced readers copy.
Detective Ellie Reeves is on the scene of a murder. A woman has been found in the ice, the only identifying feature a necklace that says Mine Forever. The scene is difficult if not impossible to retrieve forensics from, the snow and ice destroying what little evidence that may have been left by the killer. Ellie finally uncovers the woman’s identity, she is Nadine Houser, a woman missing for over a decade. Now another woman has gone missing, and as Ellie begins her frantic search for her, she uncovers another necklace, just like the one found with Nadine. With both her own guilt at not solving the case faster, the growing pressure from the townspeople who blame her for not finding their missing loved ones and a killer who is already targeting his next victim, Ellie is desperate for answers.
Good book! This book had suspense, intrigue, action and some really messed up bad guys! This book had a lot of gore in it but the storyline was really interesting! There was a lot of murder and blood shed so reader beware! Its definitely worth reading though! I would recommend this book! Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for sharing this book with me!
