It was a really sweet story about Cassie and Ted and how they ended married. The story is sweet like rom com and YA but I was a little disappointed because through the chapters some parts happened so fast or didn't make sense since it contradicted previous statements.
However, it was such a fast read and I liked the romance in it.

Thanks NetGalley and SOURCEBOOKS Casablanca for providing me an ARC in exchange of an honest review.

OMG... this book. This book was amazing, heartwarming and balm for my soul. Written with Southern charm, faith and so much love.
Cassie is on the run from her evil foster father and Ted, the sweet boy next door, doesn´t hesitate and comes to help. They have to marry so Cassie doesn´t land in jail or worse....
When they meet Ted's family, everyone is sweet and forthcoming and surprised to see a smile on Ted's face, four years after the death of his twin-brother. They want not only to help Cassie but they see the difference her presence does to him.
Maybe, just maybe Cassie and Ted can help each other to heal. But what if her evil foster father comes after her?
I immensely enjoyed the story and can only recommend it to everyone who loves a bit of Southern charm.

I had never read any version of this book but I really enjoyed this story. I can see why Cassie was running from Cecil and it was nice to see Ted trying to help her. Little did they know what was going to happen. They got married, his family gave her a place to stay and a job. Did she and Ted end up helping each other out. Did they stay married. One thing sure , Cecil came looking for of course, she didn't go with him. It was a VERY GOOD READ.

Sweet Meet By Chance Contemporary
Cassie is a survivor. After surviving her parents death, she's devastated when her foster mom dies and she's left alone with her creepy husband.
She pawns her grandmother's rings and goes on the run, barely escaping the police, who have been informed she was a mentally unstable minor. Her escape with the help of Ted is a miracle. A miracle for both of them.
Together they learn that each is the other's salvation and the planned annulment was never meant to be.
A romance with a nasty villain, wonderful supporting family and friends and a couple that complement each other. I read the original when it was released and the revamp was refreshed enough to make it worth a second read.
I received an ARC copy gratis from Net Galley and offer my opinion in the same spirit

Cassie is on the run and encounters a man at a bus station. Ted, the pleasant newcomer, acts as if they are dating. They marry for no apparent reason. They end up falling for each other while getting to know each other.
Ted has been lost since the death of his twin years ago, but there is something about Cassie that brings him back to life.

Over-all, i had a lot of fun watching these two as they fell in love.

This book is full of sweet southern charm.

Cassie is on the run from the man you raised her the past few years, Cecil, when she found out he sold her to a sex trafficking ring. Now Cecil has the police looking for her claiming she stole from him and is mentally unstable. When she gets cornered by the police she turns to a young man in a diner. Pretending to be with him. When Ted realizes what is going on he plays along with the scheme. One thing leads to another and by the end of the day Ted and Cassie are married. While they wait to get an annulment Cassie stays with Ted and his family. Cassie starts to put down roots as she and Ted grow closer.

I loved this book. It was so full of sweetness that it just made my heart melt. Some of Ted and Cassie's dialogue was just so funny I was grinning ear to ear. The southern accent is so thick that I can hear it in my head. I love that family and all the major characters were great. I really enjoyed this book and I love a HEA.

So here is the issue. There was a lot of build-up in the beginning with both the romance and with Cecil. Both of which I thought peaked anti-climactically. I was so excited and then before I really even realized what had happened, it was over. Kind of disappointing. All the good stuff just comes and goes so fast, like it wasn't a huge point in the storyline. Honestly, I just felt a bit cheated out of the 'ooh, ahh' moments.

This book seems to be geared toward the New Adult audience. But I would be comfortable with a teenager reading this as well. I'd say 15+
Content Warnings:
The suggestion of sex but no descriptions at all, 'parental' abuse: again mentioned but no detail.

Thank you to Netgalley, the Publisher and Author for a chance to read and review this book. It does not in any way influence my opinion or review.

Hats off to Carolyn Brown for another classy, classic country tale. Cassie and Ted make an interesting almost couple. You see as circumstances had it, these two young adults married in haste. Cassie needed protection and Ted was immediately taken with this sad scared woman. So Ted did what he could think of in the moment.

As weeks progressed Cassie and Ted although truly not consummating this fake marriage were spending a lot of time together. Enough time to get on each other’s nerves it would seem. Ted even spoke to god and asked why his bride was so argumentative. True to Carolyn Brown and her innate sense of love, honor, faith, and humor BRIDE FOR A DAY seems to have this recipe well memorized.

Cassie hasn’t lived her life with many frills. Life as the daughter of a single mother who waitressed for a living, having the basics was the norm. Then her mother died leaving Cassie with a good friend. Another waitress who lived with a trucker husband. Cassie was called into duty to tend to the ailing wife. But after the passing Cassie was going to be left with the husband who was demanding in many ways. So she did the only thing she could, she ran with little to her name. And at a bus stop met Ted.
Of course that’s the cliff notes version. You deserve to read the whole escapade on your own.

Suffice it to say Ted isn’t really what you would envision as a white knight. Ted has a wonderful close-knit family and has had an amazing support group all his life. So much so that in Cassie’s mind Ted needs to grow up, face his challenges and most important his grief. Ted is a great guy but has been living in the shadows for several years.

When faced with Cassie’s fears Ted is forced to gain perspective on how he has been barely coping since his twin brother died. Their conflicts almost always surface when one or the other is reminded of the fragility of life and their own futures. Working together as a team, if not as a truly married couple just may be the answer to a prayer. Coming to grips with their totally unexpected and candidly not welcomed mutual attraction will be the ultimate challenge.

Teds family takes in Cassie and treats her like the family she always wished for. But the Cassie knows this is a temporary respite from her real life. The fear that it will ultimately catch up to her is ever present in her mind.

Carolyn Brown’s stories come from a deep place in her heart and of course creative mind. I often wonder how an author finds a spark of an idea and develops a tale around it. In BRIDE FOR A DAY that is exactly what Carolyn Brown does with panache. Ted and Cassie are amazingly well-developed characters each facing challenges. The story is off the charts with the course of events detailed. You can’t help but join in on the fun and games. And of course there is a bit of country mixed into the recipe for BRIDE FOR A DAY.

What a fun, relaxing book! Although the dialogue didn’t always flow the best, I loved the plot. After Ted and Cassie find themselves tumbling in the consequences of their lie, I loved how Ted’s family simply welcomed Cassie and pulled her right in, despite her misgivings. They made her feel safe, which is just what she needed. Great book!

I received an advanced readers copy of this book through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Cassie is on the run until she gets her inhertiance, she runs into the local sheriff and pretends he is her husband, he plays along and they end up at the courthouse. I love carolyn Brown books, always a fun read.

Cassie is running from a man who has sold her into the sex trade. She turns to a stranger for help and ends up married to him. This is a story about hope, friendship and trust. It is predictable but is still a delightful read. Thank you to net galley for an advanced readers copy.

This was a quick read. Trying to outrun the law and the man tracking her down, Cassie takes a leap of faith and approaches a total stranger, hoping he’ll pick up on her fears and play along. Ted does just that and before you know it, the two are married and headed back to Oklahoma to explain the situation to Ted’s family. The plan is to get the marriage annulled as quickly as possible or get a divorce, whichever is quickest. Things don’t go as planned, though. Ted’s family welcomes Cassie with open arms. There’s drama, hope, healing, new beginnings, new friendships, and a HEA
.
There are a couple of unanswered questions, though, regarding the inheritance and Cecil.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

As usual, another great story from Carolyn Brown. I had not read the previous version of this story, but the updates made it seem like it had just been written. I truly enjoyed this story and thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the early opportunity to read it.

Another lovely romance from Carolyn Brown. As the reader, you can’t help but root for Ted or Cassie to find true love with each other.
Cassie has had a hard life and truly deserves a break. Running from a man who took her in after her mother’s death but now wants to sell her as a prostitute, she flees. Upon meeting Ted at a diner where the bus stopped, she hopes for him to help her to avoid going back to her “uncle”. Ted, awash in the grief of losing his twin, rises to the occasion and impulsively pretends that Cassie is his girlfriend and they are about to be married. With the help of the local law, there is no escaping this once put in motion. Cassie though really has stumbled upon a knight in shining armor as Ted and his family embrace Cassie and vow to help her until she comes of age for her inheritance. Ted’s family though is truly grateful to Cassie for bringing Ted back to life and looks upon her as an angel. Could they find true love?

This is such a feel-good story and has a delightful surprise at the end. Maybe a bit predictable but that’s okay as sometimes it’s just fun to read something that is enjoyable. A quick read, I would recommend this a great way to spend an afternoon or evening.

Many thanks to #netgalley #carolynbrown #brideforaday for the opportunity ot readandreview this book.

This book took a while before I understood what was going on! I liked the small town feel to the story, a cozy cafe. I enjoyed it ok but was not wowed by it! I felt I needed more background info!
Thank you NetGalley

Basic plot: Cassie had “runaway” from the man who figures himself her guardian, even though she is twenty. He is a horrible man and she was finally able to leave his home. When she left, he claimed she stole from him and had the local law enforcement looking for her. When she is stopped, she thinks quickly and sits with a stranger to get away from their questions.

Rating: 4/5

What I enjoyed the most: This book was engaging and had spots of excitement. It took about a chapter to completely understand what was happening, and once I did, I loved the main characters. The supporting cast of Ted’s family were wonderful and loving from the start.

What was difficult: I enjoyed this book a lot and was satisfied to read it quickly (about three days). Some of the story was confusing, and I would have liked the background to be spelled out quicker.

Overall, “”Bride for a Day” was a very good book and I will recommend it.

Thank you to NetGalley for granting me permission for an advanced copy of this wonderful book!

Cassie o malley and Ted Wellman have a subpar chemistry or near to null
I can’t say this book was bad but honestly I can’t give more than .2,5 stars
BTW Tgey marry with inerithance in mind then … what happens?!
Thanks for ARC Netgalley

Let me start by saying this is a rewrite of a previous book by Carolyn Brown. I liked the book the first time i read it but I have to say she made it even better. It is a quick happily ever after read about Cassie who is on the run from a man trying to sell her into the sex industry. She hides in the bathroom at a restaurant and when she opens the door there is the sheriff. She makes eye contact with Ted who is sitting by himself at a table. She begs Ted to help her and he does. He lies to the sheriff and tell them they are on their way to be married. The sheriff decides to help them out and pays for the wedding. So they really get married and he takes Cassie home to the family. Do they make this a real marriage or do they ask for an annulment as they discussed. The family accepts Cassie into the family for "waking " Ted up from the death of his twin brother. I love supportive family books. This one is no exception.

If you've read Carolyn Brown books before then you know what to expect. Her books tend to follow the same formula and predictability yet, they are still always a quick enjoyable read. I never start one of her books expecting it to be fantastic but most times I am pleasantly surprised.

This was probably my least favorite. I really didn't care for or connect with any of the characters. Would I recommend it? Probably if you are looking for a quick romance or a beach read, but with the caveat of it being just an okay read - nothing special.
