I enjoyed every bit of this book. The plot, the relationships, the characters. Everything was really well balanced and thoughtful. I loved the push-pull between wanting to leave your hometown, grow up, get away, and the desire to keep everything the same without change.
The author did a great job making you feel the emotional roller coaster that we all go through when big changes occur. It can be scary. And exciting. And lots of stuff! It's not just the first time you leave home. We all go through this throughout our lives.

This was cute but I just don't think it was for me as I'm perhaps a little too old for this. It's a book I'd recommend for a younger teen as they would relate to this a bit more and enjoy the writing style.
Just not my cup of tea.

The story is YA and is really fast paced, which I love.
There is romance woven throughout the story and it's done really well.
Definitely a must read for lovers of YA contemporary romance.

Thank you Netgalley and Clarion Books for the arc of this book! Cute read and cute love story, but I think there were too many characters for me. In order for readers to understand that Charlie has a large impact on her small town with how many people she drives around even though she's trying not to be connected to all of them because she wants to get out, there are many many side characters. While the abundance of characters accomplish what I think the author was trying to do with them, there were so many it was hard to keep track of all of them, and even harder to feel a connection to them all. I think as a result the I didn't care as much about the relationships that Charlie actually was trying to improve when she decided that Chester Falls had more to offer than she realized. I wanted to be excited when she started asking her riders questions and when she made up with her friends, but I cared so much more about what Andre was up to than all of the other people Charlie had to fix her relationships with.

Charlie is determined to follow her dreams and get out of the small town she grew up in as soon as she can. Her dreams revolve around becoming an architect and finding the right path that leads her there. To earn money, she works for a rideshare company where she picks up high school students and takes them where they need to go. She is a good driver and very reliable. One day, she makes the mistake of hitting fellow student Andre's car while trying to get her ride home from a party. Not able to pay for the damages, she strikes a deal with the very popular Andre that she will drive him where he needs to go until his car is fixed. This becomes a daily adventure with Andre who, in turn, helps her riders by listening and finding solutions to their problems. Charlie also has a great cast of friends who she hangs out with along the way.

Can spending so much time getting to know Andre change her mind about him. Can they help each other find the true meaning of being happy and make each other braver along the way. Charlotte is a girl interested in achritecture who tries to save money by driving for the Backseat app, she accidentally hits Andre's car and from this point on she has to drive him everywhere he wants to go. At first it seems that they have nothing in common and Charlie thinks that it's okey because she on her way out of her small town of Bershires, while Andre seems very much connected with the town and people living there. With time they learn a lot from each other, Andre seems more open for the outside world while Charlie seems to appreciate more the town she lives in. After a while they grow some sort of friendship which with time turns to love. I really enjoyed the warmth of the book, its positive message but the only thing that made me a little bit reluctant about reading it till the end was rather a slow pace of action. Over half of the book is about Charlie's passengers and only the second half of it is about Charlie and Andre relationship.

This was a book that made me feel like, Dammit, I don't have enough time to read all the YA novels I'd like to!

Aspirational architect / designer Charlie is saving up to leave this town -and prides herself on her near-perfect ratings on the local rideshare app she works for. When she accidentally runs into the piece of shit that passes for a classmate's car, Charlie begs Andre to let her pay for the repairs and leave insurance -- and app ratingst -- out of it. Instead, he suggests she drive him around at his beck and call. Forced into proximity, they become friends, and Andre's series of trips helps Charlie to see her boring Massachusetts hometown -- and him -- in new light.

Two supblots don't feel crowded, because they are so well tied in: Charlie's idol and possible mentor invites her to take on a project to improve her chances of landing a competitive internship, and Charlie accomplishes not one but two renovation projects, and learns a lot in the process; And, her parent's oddly undefined relationship and level of satisfaction with their own life and artistic goals serve to further Charlie's wants, needs, and drives: educational/career, artistic, and romantic become interwoven.

There is so much for me to love as a MA native, as an appreciator of architecture and design and as a fan of YA coming of age stories. The camera app and rideshare app may become dated when and if Instagram and Uber are replaced by the next big thing, but the themes of first love and figuring out your place in the world are eternal.

This book has so many relevant things going on you have to love it. The book revolves around high school student Charlie Morgan. She is a go getter and knows what she wants in life. She is driving for Backseat (UBER) to earn money to travel the US. She wants to be an architect and wants to study different types of art. Her parents are artsy type folks, who seem to have run into a rut lately with their work and their relationship. Charlie desperately wants to move out as soon as possible. That is until she hit Andre with her car and things suddenly go awry.

I loved this book. The characters are fun and the plot is fast paced. It's also very relevant for our times. It's a PG rated book. There is romance, but no sex scenes. So a great YA Romance for your shelves.

As someone born in Massaschusetts, I couldn't help but love the setting of this book. Charlie Owens is a teenager who drives for a rideshare app.in Chester Falls in order to save money to get the heck out of Chester Falls and pursue her passion for architecture. She is hardworking and reliable except for when she accidentally crashes into Andre's car. Andre agrees not to report the crash if Charlie gives him rides until his car can get fixed. Of course, Charlie and Andre clash like oil and vinegar and the repair of Andre's car takes just long enough for these two to fall for each other.

Overall impression: A quick read. However, these teenagers do not act or speak like teenagers. Charlie's parents are borderline neglectful and her despair at potentially never leaving Chester Falls feels dramatic based on her age and talents.

I couldn't get invested in this book between the scene swaps, bumpy dialogue and disjointed end goal of joining hero Ava as an intern. Likely just me and others will enjoy this novel.

Ride With Me is an adorable teen romance that hooked me from the start. I really liked Charlie and thought she was a great lead character. She’s one of those sassy characters you can’t help but to fall in love with. Great story I flew through this one!!!!

Overall, this book was extremely cute and a light read. As someone who grew up in a small town I greatly related to Charlie’s relationship with her small town. I enjoyed how the characters changed throughout the story, however felt that at certain times, Charlie was the only one evolving.

One of my favorite aspects of the book was Charlie’s relationship with her parents, and how an unhealthy relationship does impact the child. Especially as an only child (speaking from experience here). Often times people, parents included, feel like you can’t push back or raise valid concerns against your parents purely because they’re you’re parents (now I don’t condone this if you’re in an abusive household or anything of the like. But as an only child I want to see my parents be their best selves and want more of life than just being my parent. So I really enjoyed how that specific storyline progressed.

It was so much more than a simple YA romance book. To me, this book was reminiscent of The Library of Lost Things by Laura Taylor Namey. For example, Charlies struggles with who she will become was as prevalent as her growing love for Andre. I also appreciated that they were such opposites at first. The quest to show Charlie why Chester Falls was amazing, and Charlie showing Andre why towns further away are amazing. The banter and car rides made the book so fun, and I fell in love with so many of the characters.
There were parts of the book where I wondered why Charlie’s friends were so loyal to her when she left them all the time or seemed to put herself first often. However, I did love then end of the book and will definitely buy it for my library!

Received this ARC last week and thought this book was a cute quick read.

The premise of the book is actually a really cute idea that I can see young entrepreneurs getting on board with. Charlie is a driver for shared ride service, where she takes teenagers to places around town that they need to go. This is her job where she is saving up money to get out if her small hometown as soon as she graduates.

Then enter Andre, the senior whose car she hits on accident. In order for him not to turn her in, she promises to drive him wherever he needs to go. Where Charlie can’t wait to leave, Andre is afraid to go.

The book releases in June 2022. I will definitely be ordering a copy of this to add to my classroom library.

Ride With Me by Lucy Keating was a fun book and one I would recommend to anyone wanting a refreshing read that lets you meet some interesting and likeable characters who come together through some unusual circumstances and seem to help each other grow in very positive ways. I highly recommend this book to high school students studying interior decorating and design as I believe these students will be inspired by the energy and determination of the female protagonist in her passionate pursuit for knowledge and experience. In fact, if this book was currently available I would recommend all my interior design students to pick up a copy to read over the holiday.

Overall I thought the book was okay. I understand Charlie's need to earn money but I felt like Charlie needed to be present when she was with her friends. There are occasions when she's with her friends, Charlie is physically there, but her mind is elsewhere. Aside from Charlie, I liked the other characters especially her riders.
On another note, the atmosphere of the novel was great. I could really see myself in Chester Falls with Charlie and her friends.
Lastly, Charlie's relationship with Andre. I wasn't too fond of this relationship; it just didn't make sense to me. I can see how they would become friends but not a love interest for Charlie. With that aside, there was never a dull moment and I was able to enjoy the novel.

A cute little romance involving Charlie, a hard working high school junior who wants to be an architect and leave her small town and Andre, the lacrosse player that everyone loves. A quick and enjoyable read.

This book made my heart so happy! Being from a small town in Massachusetts, I specifically enjoyed the setting of a small town in the Berkshires and could really picture it and was able to fall in love with it more and more as Charlie discovered what made it special. I also really enjoyed Charlie as a character and I liked seeing her grow as the book went on. I was also a big fan of Sydney and Tessa as side characters. Overall a really cute and fun YA Rom Com.

I loved this! A sweet, fun read with characters you could really care about. I'm a sucker for an enemies to lovers story!
