Abby does not miss! This book made me laugh, made me cry, made me think deeply about preconceptions and second chances. Love everything Abby writes and will absolutely pick up her next book without hesitation.

I absolutely loved Part of Your World and have read it once and listened to it a second time. Abby Jiminez has a gift for sweet, hilarious, emotional rom-coms.

Abby Jimenez is my favorite contemporary romance author. Every one of her books just lands so beautifully. I've read this twice and somehow missed adding my review, but it's genuinely a gorgeous and moving read.

Alexis and Daniel are a classic mismatch. He's younger than her by a decade, he lives in a small town and she's a big-city ER doctor, she was raised rich and he runs a B&B and fixes things. But when a car accident strands her in his town, she might have just found the best thing ever. And I'm not just talking about the baby goat.

A fun and emotional start to a new series.

Thanks to Netgalley, the publisher, and the author for the ARC to review. All opinions are my own.

📖 BOOK REVIEW

🎧 PART OF YOUR WORLD by Abby Jimenez
4.5 stars

Genre: contemporary romance
Did I cry: no
Published in 2022

💭: My intro into the POYW series! Also my first Abby Jimenez audiobook!!! What a breath of fresh air this book was! I felt like the tropes in this book were great. They weren’t overdone and really complemented each other nicely. It’s a little bit of long-distance/vaca romance, FWB, age gap (depending how you think of age gap), opposites attract, & more 🤩 the traditional B-plot/deep A.J. themes used in her books really worked well with this one. It’s one that I hold a special place in my heart for & I really appreciated the delicacy and realness that it was handled with. If I remember correctly, the conflict put me off a little bit with this one. I remember being pretty decently annoyed by it but the ending brought my feelings back to where they were before😇

Def loved this one! For those who I know will ask, this is book 1 in the series, followed by YOURS TRULY and then JUST FOR THE SUMMER. You can read them as standalones but I definitely recommend in order because the characters met in POYW are circulated through the following two books and I feel as though plot points from books 1 and 2 will be spoiled if you don’t go in order!

Phenomenal. Absolutely Phenomenal. The depth of the characters and the real struggles they have are so real it’s hard to not fall in love with them as they are! Daniel is one of my favorite book boyfriends ever! The magic of this town and these people are electric. 10/5 stars! as someone who’s read 500+ books in the last few years I can still easily say this one is in my top 5!

A story about when opposites attract. Meeting your person can happen when least expected regardless of the perceived differences of which there are many. But the heart wants what the heart wants. Letting your head and others expectations get out of the way are the obstacles. A great friend and a little magic will help you find the way.

Absolutely loved this book, Abby’s booked have such a grip on me. I greatly appreciate all the thought and details she puts into her stories. I also love that although all her books are standalone reads they have connections and it’s really neat to see how the worlds are interconnected between her stories in a subtle way.

Abby does it again! This book was such a fun, emotional read. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry and you’ll cry some more when you can’t believe it’s over.
The witty banter between the main characters is perfect and it’s not over the top cheesy. My favorite quote is “Love follows you. It goes where you go. It doesn’t know about social divides or distance or common sense. It doesn’t even stop when the person you love dies. It does what it wants.”
This just shows the tone of the whole book; following a love story across distance and social divides. So perfect!

Daniel and Alexis’ story was PERFECT. I devoured this book in a day. I could not put this book down. Their romance was sexy, sweet, supportive, and makes you want to run away to this small town Jimenez wrote about. I loved all the characters in Wakan that gave us a view into Daniel’s family, and I’m so excited that we see Bri’s story in the next novel because she was so great. All in all, another solid read from Jimenez!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 4.5 Stars!

I love a good rom-com, and Part of Your World was the perfect combination of sweet and fun, with a dash of emotion and steam.

Let's start with my favourite part of the novel, Daniel. I absolutely adored the main male character. He was genuinely kind, thoughtful, and down to earth. I don't think I can name any flaws in his character. I enjoyed how the romance between him and Alexis developed throughout the story, though initially I found their connection a little to insta for me. I was able to overlook that as their relationship progressed, and I was engaged in their conversations as they spent more time together. They had great chemistry, and their growing feeling became more believable as the story progressed. I definitely rooted for their HEA!
There was minimal drama and some angst (not too much), and it was predictable as to what obstacles would stand in Alexis and Daniel's way, but I'm glad it didnt take too long for them to figure things out and for Alexis to finally live life on her own terms!

All in all, Part of Your World was a charming and entertaining opposites attract/from two different worlds romance. It was a quick read, and I'd recommend it to kick back with on a weekend of relaxation!

I really enjoy Abby Jiminez books because while they are fun, romantic and a little spicy., she also also touches on deeper themes and explores mental health issues. You feel smarter for reading her books even though they are still full and entertaining.

I’m MAD at myself for waiting so long to read this one. It’s tender and swoony and has the most rewarding personal growth.

Run don’t walk to read this amazing romance!
Highly recommended

Part of Your World is about two people from different backgrounds trying to find a way to merge their lives together. Will Alexis come to certain realizations about her family, in time to find true happiness with Daniel?

This fairy tale romance might appeal to some readers, but I find myself wanting more than what the book delivers. The spoiled rich girl and the hardworking guy has been done before, but the author adds nothing new to the table. There is some witty dialogue and snarky comebacks, which is just not enough to carry the novel. The most positive thing I can say about Part of Your World is that it delivers as a good beach read. This is a novel you can pick up and put down at will, read in a crowd, or in the car line, and you will not miss anything.

The most annoying part of the novel is regarding Alexis and her lack of knowledge about all things regarding laundry, among other things. This is especially unrealistic because I doubt that she had a maid in college. No college kids I know have ever sent their laundry out, but perhaps things are different in the world of the rich and famous.

Overall, Part of Your World is a fast read and good for those who are fans of the genre.

Somehow this was my first Abby Jimenez but it certainly won't be my last. It was a delightful blend of steamy, witty, and heart-warming. Already looking forward to Bri's story!

An enjoyable quick read. Two people with seemingly little in common find love and acceptance. Contains possible triggers of past abusive relationships

Part of Your World is a wildly popular book, and for good reason. The characters are well developed, intriguing, unique, and relatable. This story is well written and unique. I loved everything about it- from the strong female main character to the small town full of kind hearted people. This book made me a huge fan of Abby Jimenez and I will read everything she writes! I recommend this book for everyone.
