I don't even know where to begin. Abby's books always take me through the Rollercoaster of emotions, but in a good way. Her stories aren't just stories. She doesn't write a book for the sole purpose of writing a book. So much goes into each character, and she always revolves the stories around something very important. I cried, I laughed, I awed and I got angry throughout this book. I cannot wait for her next phenomenal book. As for Julia Whelan and Zachary Webber....they brought the story to life, as always. Don't wait to listen to this book. You will feel better for it.

Alexis and Daniel come from completely different worlds, but after a night of passion, they can’t deny the attraction between them so they agree to keep seeing each other while agreeing to keep things casual.

I loved Daniel! He was kind, thoughtful, and hardworking. Alexis was great too, but she surrounded herself with some terrible people. Her parents sucked, her ex-boyfriend was abusive, and most of her friends were terrible (besides Bri). Alexis needed the kindness of Daniel’s town!

CW: sexual content, abusive relationships, childbirth abusive parents.
Y’all I think I have a new auto read author!! I binge read this, literally I couldn’t put it down! I mean come on a baby goat, hot B&B owner, and small town magic?!? I loved the way she wrote about this small town. The vivid descriptions, it’s history and characters in the town were spot on. The way Alexis and Daniel fall in love will certainly give you all the feels. Just read this book you want regret it! But be sure to check the trigger warnings before reading though.
WHAT AN AMAZING BOOK! I've loved all of Abby's books, but this is definitely my favorite! The squirrel scene made me laugh so hard! I ended up rewinding and replaying multiple times and just kept on laughing. Seriously love every minute of this book!
Grace costs nothing will be my new motto 💕
Thank you so much for the chance to read and review this title! I look forward to reading Abby's books everytime they come out and this was no exception. This brought me through all the emotions and was a winner for me. Cannot wait to see what she writes next!
Wonderful book. Funny, sexy, heartfelt; you experience the full spectrum of emotions. It's near impossible to stop reading this book. Alexis and Daniel are not perfect but they are perfect for each other. And I really enjoyed the small bit of magical realism. I CANNOT WAIT for Bri's story!! Special thank you to NetGalley for a copy!
This book was a wonderful ride! I laughed out loud, I swooned and I teared up. It was interesting to see an age gap where the woman was older than the man and how their different worlds may/may not be able to intersect. It was a fantastic journey and I didn't want it to stop.
I can't even find anything negative to say about this book. I really enjoyed this. I liked the spin on the 'age gap' trope where it was the woman who was the older, successful and established one.
It is apart of the Friend-zone universe, but it's not a need-to-read to understand this book
I wanted to like this more, but there was something I just couldn't connect with in these characters. I did love the small town setting.
And it was steamy and romantic!
Abby Jimenez has done it again. Somehow even better than the last one.
Abby is The Queen of Romcoms! This book had me laughing so hard, I’m sure some people thought I was crazy.
In this story we meet Alexis, a city girl who comes from a long line of renowned surgeons. Alexis meets Daniel on a dark foggy road, after having an encounter with a raccoon. Daniel is the mayor of a small town named Wakan, and just about the nicest guy you’ll meet.
I honestly fell in love with the characters and the town of Wakan immediately. The town sounds so wonderful and I could picture it so well.
Daniel may just be my new book boyfriend. I’m literally obsessed with him and the baby goat in pajamas.
The chemistry between Alexis and Daniel is truly magical. I loved seeing them grow as individuals, I was rooting for them the whole time.
Alexis’s friend Bri was one of my favorite characters and I’m so happy she’s getting her own book.
I’m so looking forward to the next book, I just know it will be amazing.
Ohhh I love a good small town romance. Too bad the town wasn’t featured more prominently. So I liked the romance and the setting in this book. But the reason the couple was kept apart was really frustrating. I get it that it was an abusive situation but I found it really upsetting that she had a lack of agency for most of the book.
“Don’t let them decide the life you’re going to live. You only get one.”
Wow. Just wow. I have loved all of Abby’s books. She writes such relatable and lovable characters and she digs into so really tough subjects in a way that pulls you in and really stays with you.
Part of Your World has officially surpassed The Friend Zone as by favourite Jimenez book. I’m in love with Daniel and his kind heart, I love Alexis and her healing journey, and I love the town (village?) or Wakan and every single person in it. This book hooked me hard and I could not stop reading. I know this one is going to stay with me forever. I loved it.
Was lucky enough to receive an ARC. Damn Abby, you've done it again! I loved this book so hard.
Alexis and Daniel are perfect for each other even if they didn't see it. After Alexis' horrible ex Daniel was exactly what she needed. I love that the town was almost magical.
Oh and a baby goat....in pajamas.
I don't know if Forever Publishing has CW/TW on their website or if Abby Jimenez does or not but just in case: emotional and physical abuse, gaslighting, recovering after living with a narcissistic SOB.
Perfection.
A huge thank you to NetGalley , Forever Pub and Hachette Audio for my advanced copies of Part of Your World.
I was fortunate enough to be gifted and e-copy and an advanced audio of this wonderful book.
I have also read/ listened to all four of Abby's books. So here is a ranking no-one has asked for:
1. The Happy Ever After Playlist
2. Part of Your World.
3. Life's Too Short.
4. The Friend Zone.
What I Loved-
✨ The Audio- Part of Your World had two narrators. Love this for books with dual perspectives. Julia Whelan ( My Queen 👑 ) and Zachary Webber (who has been featured on previous Abby Jimenez audio books ) did an amazing job. I thoroughly enjoyed this duo.
✨ The Humor- I haven't laughed this hard while reading a book in quite a while. So thankful to this author for the joy I felt while listening to Part of Your World.
✨ The Romance- I loved Alexis and Daniel. Loved the age gap. Loved the opposites attract storyline. The small town / big city aspect. Everything. They made my heart happy.
✨ The Writing- This book flew by. Abby Jimenez books tend to be super fast, super fun reads.
Overall- Highly Recommend. I cannot wait for Abby's next book =)
The two worlds of Alexis & Daniel collide in this highly anticipated book. Both are so different, will those differences keep them apart? This one pulled at my heartstrings & while some of the things Alexis did bugged me, I LOVED Daniel & was rooting for them!
I stayed up late finishing this book and I could fill pages and pages with praise. It is one of those books that you finish, knowing it's going to stick with you. From the very first page, I was pulled into the story. Daniel and Alexis' worlds could not be more opposite and they are both burdened with family obligations that root them in those separate worlds. My heart broke for Alexis every time she faced the hard truth that Daniel, who was so perfect in every way, would never be accepted in her world. As always, Jimenez drills deep, and you can feel her characters' pain like you're living it. There are so many swoony moments and the ending is so satisfying--exactly what I was hoping the entire time I was reading the book. I also loved the introduction to Bri, who the next book will be about, and the mention of characters from previous books. Solid five stars.
Title: Part of Your World
Author: Abby Jimenez
Genre: Romance
Rating: 5 out of 5
After a wild bet, gourmet grilled-cheese sandwich, and cuddle with a baby goat, Alexis Montgomery has had her world turned upside down. The cause: Daniel Grant, a ridiculously hot carpenter who’s ten years younger than her and as casual as they come—the complete opposite of sophisticated city-girl Alexis. And yet their chemistry is undeniable.
While her ultra-wealthy parents want her to carry on the family legacy of world-renowned surgeons, Alexis doesn’t need glory or fame. She’s fine with being a “mere” ER doctor. And every minute she spends with Daniel and the tight-knit town where he lives, she’s discovering just what’s really important. Yet letting their relationship become anything more than a short-term fling would mean turning her back on her family and giving up the opportunity to help thousands of people.
Bringing Daniel into her world is impossible, and yet she can’t just give up the joy she’s found with him either. With so many differences between them, how can Alexis possibly choose between her world and his?
I have to tell you: this book made me laugh out loud many times. The dry wit, the easy banter, the sheer chutzpah of some of these characters was an absolute joy to read. I think I started laughing out loud about three minutes in, and it really never totally stopped. I binge-read the entire thing in one late-night sitting. Do yourself a favor and pick this one up immediately. Your abs will thank you.
Abby Jimenez is a bestselling author. Part of Your World is her newest novel.
(Galley courtesy of Forever in exchange for an honest review.)
I loooooove when an author gets better with each book and not worse. abby Jimenez has not let me down here! I am historically very critical with romance and have had a bit of a slump lately, so this was a nice banter filled breath of fresh air.
Read if you like:
*witty banter and likable characters
*Small town romance
*Humor and heart in your romances
Abby Jimenez is an auto buy author for me and she never disappoints! She always, always handles serious subject matter with just the right tone and balances it perfectly with the rom-com/love story element. (Trigger warning for domestic abuse in this novel.) Her writing always makes me laugh out loud and she has a way with writing solid male lead characters… Daniel is 100% book boyfriend material. I enjoyed the small town vibes and felt for the characters and the struggles they went through with their parents. I think this book could have been a *bit* shorter, but overall I really enjoyed it and I’m looking forward to Bri’s story in the next installment of the series.
This book blew me away! Alexis and Daniel meet in the most cliche way, with her having car issues on the side of the road. With her passing through the town they end of having a one night stand but it's the beginning of a love story between two people that live in different worlds but yet are so similar in the issues that they deal with. Both from prominent families in completely opposite ways. Alexis is rich and Daniel is struggling to hold on to his family's home. Yet even with all of the things that kept them apart, they form this incredible love that pulls them back to one another. Not only is it a love story, but it also shows the growth in each of them just by having the other in their world. I just loved everything about this story.
