I LOVED this book. It was such a fun, romantic, magical, and yet real, nuanced, delicately handled story!! The author has done a fantastic job creating such a dynamic between two people, the situations, the locations were all so real and yet had this quality of the magic/power of love. The serious topics were dealt with in such a gentle, subtle manner that it felt seamlessly a part of the story - not preachy or trying to teach anything, just seamlessly threaded in just like the messiness of life. I cannot wait to read what this author comes up with next - I am now a big fan!

Whenever I sit down with an Abby Jimenez book, I know I'm in for a treat. I know I'll laugh with her realistic characters with their wry wit, I'll fall in love with the couple and cheer their triumphs and commiserate with them at the injustice that is keeping them apart, and I'll cry at the happy ending. This was no different in that sense but I really felt a connection with Alexis with her sense of honor, duty, and the need to uphold tradition, and also the compulsion to try to live up to her father's standards. There were two kinds of abuse highlighted in this book and they were dealt with very well. I loved every minute of this book and can't wait for the next.

I received a copy from #NetGalley for an honest review.

A heartwarming opposites-attract romance with great setting, awesome characters, and thoughtful handling of deeper topics. Recommended to romance lovers who like their books to cover more than just the romance.

I love a small town setting! And in this book the town was like another character. I loved that the love interest had such major ties to the town with his family legacy. One of my favorite things about a small town setting is all the side characters and the support of a community. There was also some semi-magical realism with the town interfering with the main relationship.

I really appreciated that the book covered abuse in its different forms; emotional, physical, parental. The book also handled the abuse cycle very well, emphasized the fact that abuse can happen to anyone, and even had some ideas on how to help others around you who might be facing a similar issue.

I loved how even though they were "from two different worlds", they actually had a lot of similarities. They were both feeling familial pressures of legacy while actually wanting to do something different. They both felt trapped, and needed a push to find a new balance in their lives and prioritize themselves instead of trying to make others happy. Speaking of which, I loved how that pressure was handled as well. The internal struggles Alexis had between not wanting to disappoint her family and following her heart were very authentically handled.

I really loved their romance, and in a lot of ways it reminded me of my own: opposites attract, long distance, one of them a romantic and another logical. I loved how they couldn't stay apart, how much Daniel loved Alexis, and how he slowly helped her put down her walls.

This book also has: A baby goat, a town pigs and an overexcited dog. Need I say more?!

Overall rating: 4.5⭐

Abby Jimenez’s writing is always just so comforting — there is something about her style that feels like a warm hug, and Part of Your World is one of her best. I laughed and cried and never wanted this book to end. Daniel and Alexis’ love story is just pure perfection!

“Love follows you. It goes where you go. It doesn’t know about social divides or distance, or common sense. It doesn’t even stop when the person you love dies. It does what it wants.”

These characters are so complete and complex that it is impossible not to love them. It was really interesting to see both of them come to terms with their legacies — Alexis’ at Royaume and Daniel’s in Wakan — and figure out how their love could survive despite so much expectation. Alexis’ character arc was fascinating — coming to terms with her privilege and the abuse she experienced from Neil and her father.

Wakan and the people in the town were so funny and added so much to their love story — I can’t wait for Doug and Bri’s story. The inclusion of Grant's history and the “magic” of the town (pop’s theory) was a terrific addition.

As a massive fan of The Princess Bride, the jokes and references to the movie throughout the book were so adorable and had me laughing out loud the entire time.

Part of Your World was absolutely a 5 star read for me — I would recommend this to all romance fans, especially fans of Emily Henry and Christina Lauren. Thank you so much to NetGalley and Forever Publishing for the digital ARC.

I've adored Abby's books since the beginning, and every year I eagerly await whichever amazing book she'll gift us next! Part of Your World was easily my most anticipated book this year!

I know you don't need me to tell you to pick this one up, but I'm going to tell you anyway! Make sure Part of Your World is on your TBR if you enjoy:

💙 opposites attract
💙 age gap (older woman 🙌)
💙 small town
💙 great chemistry
💙 adorable animals

This beautiful book had me both laughing and tearing up, and I enjoyed Daniel and Alexis's love story. I especially loved the parts that took place in Daniel's town, and hope we get more in this cute town in a future book.

This was hands down one of the best romance novels I've read since Weather Girl (which I also loved!!). I was fully invested in Alexis and Daniel's love story. I cried, laughed, and felt their chemistry through the pages. The book was hard to read sometimes, mainly because of the people in Alexis's life and how they treated her, but it dealt with serious issues in sensitive, well thought out ways.

Daniel is also an incredibly written character. He's by far one of my favourite male characters now so other books will have some tough competition! He truly was himself without remorse. He was strong and knew his worth. Just amazing!

I loved watching Alexis realize how much her voice matters, as well as what she wants in life and not what others want her to do. This book deals with different levels of abuse, which was crushing to read at times.

Highly recommend this book!! I can't wait to now read Bri's story! Thank you to Netgalley and Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for this advance copy in exchange for my honest review.

Part of Your World is a brilliant romantic comedy with a tender heart.

In a few short years, Abby Jimenez has become one of romance’s most acclaimed and popular authors. Her fairy tale-esque, opposites-attract fourth novel, Part of Your World, will only elevate her standing.

I love Abby Jimenez and her latest book is no exception. My love is so strong I was able to overcome the slight turn towards cosmic/otherworldly interference in the love story. I'll be waiting for the next book in this series.

Thanks to Forever Romance, the author, and NetGalley for the free gifted copy in exchange for an honest review.

Abby Jimenez just really knows how to write romance. Part of Your World pulls you in right away with a meet-cute and keeps you staying with a secret romance between two people living completely different lives.

I have been seeing RAVE reviews, and I feel like this is because it is a super unique romance and had aspects that I haven’t seen in many romances.

The chemistry and emotional roll coaster of this book are amazing. Definitely pick this one up if you have been in a slump with romances cause it will get you right back into them.

This was my first book by Abby and I really enjoyed it. I read somewhere that this is part of a series, so I should check that out.

With a touch of magic and a little bit of fairy tale thrown in I was immersed in Alexis' story. When she finds herself in a ditch in small town USA she never anticipated that her whole world was about to change. With the remains of an unhappy relationship in her rearview mirror and the possibility of taking over the family legacy; meeting Daniel Grant is a breath of fresh air.

Being the mayor and groundskeeper of Wakan, Daniel is busy trying to save his family legacy while his mother is determined to tear it apart. Wakan is his home and being anywhere else is just not a possibility.

This was a very fast paced book that kept me entertained throughout. The characters were easy to love and it was like the people of Wakan were my best friends. While I liked Daniels' character, he was a little too needy for me. But that's not to say I didn't enjoy his dialogue and his love for Alexis. I appreciated that the small town seemed to carry it's own magic and the little nods to Disney movies and princesses was fun to decipher. I'm so glad I read the author's notes at the end of the book! I highly recommend taking the time to read her thoughts, it adds so much more depth to the story.

Ali Montgomery is heading home after attending a funeral when her car ends up in a ditch near a small town with very limited services. She is fortunate as one of the locals sees her car in the ditch and offers to tow her out because the tow truck is going to be at least an hour. She decides to stop in at a local bar and grab a bite to eat and use the facilities before she continues the long drive home. She meets Daniel who towed her car and ends up hanging out with him and they have a one night fling until it isn’t.  They come from different worlds and it would appear they have very little in common except for some chemistry. Over time they realize they like reading the same books which are mostly published by independent authors and they enjoy their time together. Daniel is kind and teaches her how to cook and doesn’t judge her for the things she doesn’t know how to do. She is surprised how comfortable and happy she feels around him.
She struggles with pressure her family has placed on her and she has habitually put everyone first because it is expected of a Montgomery to be very involved in the local hospital.  Her father is particularly frustrated with her as she didn’t become a surgeon and doesn't uphold the family standards he has allowed her to lapse because her brother Derek was the golden child until he married a famous singer and was disowned. Derek got married and didn’t come home to avoid the wrath of his parents.   The reader sees the patterns of emotional abuse that Ali experienced from her parents and her ex-boyfriend, it is written well without it feeling too heavy or heartbreaking to read.
The book was a quick read that I finished over a weekend. It kept my attention and I wanted to finish the book so I could see how it would tie together in the end.  It made me laugh at times. It is definitely a great book to take on a vacation or to the beach. Highly recommend it if you are looking for a feel good romcom. I would rate it 4.5 starsin this genre.  Next year there will be another book in the series I am looking forward to reading it.

Oh my goodness, I loved this book! I have loved all of Abby Jimenez’s books to date, but this one is probably my favorite. I didn’t want it to end and have been wanting to go back to that sweet town and hang out with Daniel and Alexis.

Abby never fails to bring her hilarious wit, and extra swoony romances every time she writes a book, but I also love that she brings awareness to real issues that people are dealing with. This book dealt with domestic violence and emotional abuse and I really appreciated the way she handled those story lines.

I highly recommend this one!

What do you say about a book you love?

Part of Your World gave was like going home. Set in Minnesota between two people from completely different backgrounds and lifestyles, it made me miss Minnesota living especially with the adventures set in Wakan. Abby Jimenez wrote in a way that I thought highlighted life in small town Minnesota.

There are so many moments in the novel that had me falling in love with it, the romance between Daniel and Alexis, the growth of the two characters, the good friends of both of them, Hunter (Daniel's loveable dog), and of course the goat on the cover of the book, which is featured on the page too. There are even more moments too. The ring light moment had me laughing out loud. If you want to know what I mean you'll just have to read it.

Part of Your World is the start of a new series and I can't wait to read Bri's story next year. As a Minnesota girl living in Virginia, this book just brought me so much joy. Thank you to Forever and Netgalley for providing me with a copy in exchange for my honest review.

I think this is my favorite Abby Jimenez book yet! And that’s saying something because I’ve loved everything I’ve read!

Abby has a way of writing that makes her characters feel so real and relatable, it’s absolutely wonderful.

I couldn’t put this book down. Alexis and Daniel are so wonderful. Their chemistry is palpable. He’s the absolute sweetest, most wonderful male MC I’ve read in awhile.

Whenever Alexis is with Daniel you can FEEL the lightness she’s experiencing, how free and happy she is. And likewise, the oppression she’s feeling in her life when she’s home.

The cast of secondary characters was also perfection. The people from the town of Wakan added so much to the story, I loved how the town had a personality of its own.

This book was absolutely wonderful from start to finish!!

Thank you Netgalley for this eARC!

Absolutely excellent. Abby Jimenez never disappoints. The characters and scenarios she creates are just so entertaining and draw you in from the first page. I’m obsessed and I can’t wait for my finished copy from Book of the Month to arrive!

Abby always knows how to capture my heart, and PART OF YOUR WORLD was no exception. She had me at baby goats!!

While this was a romance, I love that it also included characters with depth, with real challenges they’re going to that we readers can relate to, and guaranteed to bring the emotions while reading.

I loved Alexis and Daniel’s story, and their chemistry was so hot! They were quite opposites in basically every way, but that’s what I loved about them. Now I’ll be over here anxiously awaiting Bri’s story.

*many thanks to Forever/Netgalley for the gifted copy for review

I was a really big fan of Abby Jimenez before I read her newest book, Part of Your World. Now I am an even bigger fan! This book was her best one yet.

I loved the characters of Alexis and Daniel. They were both so complex and layered – I instantly loved them both and loved them even more together. On top of that, the story takes place in a small town and I LOVE small towns. I literally wanted to step into the book and go to the town. And don’t worry – as always, you will find a loveable fur baby within the pages of this book also!

With every book, I am enjoying Jimenez’s work more and more – now I cannot wait for her next novel to come out in April 2023!

Big City Doctor from prestigious medical royalty has a chance encounter with a carpenter/VERY small town mayor in this rom-com with some magical realism thrown in. As usual, Abby tackles some serious topics, here domestic abuse. I've been struggling a lot with all the abusive belittling behavior I see in the world at large, so there were scenes I needed to skim because I couldn't handle the anger and anxiety said scenes brought up in me. There were some dudes who could use some face-slapping all-around.

At first it was confusing (and somewhat annoying) that the first few times of Alexis and Daniel's off-the-charts sexual chemistry happens OFF screen. But then, more and more, and as they fall in love, it gets more detailed, which was an interesting plot device. The magical realism pushed itself at times--the events that occurred to reinforce the theme of "the town always gets what it needs" (which we all know is Alexis and her medical skills) didn't need to be quite so heavy-handed. There's a "dick pic" scene that had me crying with laughter, especially as Zachary Webber narrates it. His and Julia Whelan's narration were SUPERB, like "win an Audie award" superb.

And hopefully this book might help steer some readers to resources and find their way out from domestic abuse (there's even a downloadable PDF with the audiobook), knowing there are better people and places out there for a new beginning.

I have loved all of the books that I have previously read by this author! This one doesn't let you down! Such an easy flowing, heartwarming story. The characters are wonderful and you can't help but root for the love story to succeed. You learn about and love the characters as you go and enjoy every minute. Wonderful read! Thank you netgalley and the publisher for an advanced copy of this book.

Alexis Montgomery is an ER doctor with the weight of the world on her shoulders. She's part of the famous Montgomery family of world-renowned surgeons, and her wealthy parents want her to carry on the family legacy of medicine and philanthropy. They especially want her to pass it on with her overbearing surgeon ex, Neil, whom Alexis cannot stand. Her parents may love Neil more than her. When Alexis' car breaks down in the tiny town of Wakan, she meets Daniel, a handsome younger carpenter who helps get her car out of the ditch. Soon a wild bet, some grilled cheese, and an encounter with a baby goat changes Alexis' life, and she cannot help but want Daniel in her world. Despite his youth and the incompatibility of their lives, Alexis and Daniel feel drawn to one another. But she has responsibilities and he's needed in Wakan. How can they overcome the obstacles keeping them apart?

OK, this was easily one of my favorite books so far this year. I LOVED this one! This story has some major serious undertones, as it covers abuse in a variety of forms (trigger for domestic abuse and emotional abuse). Poor Alexis has a terrible former partner in Neil and as for her parents... I was absolutely flabbergasted that anyone could treat their child quite like they did! The book does an excellent job of exploring the dichotomy between what you want in life and the obligations of work and family. Daniel also has responsibilities to his family and the town of Wakan.

Even with some serious plot points, WORLD is such a funny, sweet, and romantic read. The serious balances the silly so well, and I was completely captivated. Daniel and Alexis are great--I needed them to become a couple! This book has everything you could want in a romance. Chemistry, banter, humor, a raccoon encounter, farm animals, embarrassing advice about sexting... it all gels perfectly. I was laughing and crying and rooting for Daniel and Alexis the entire time.

All in all, this is a fantastic read. Each Abby Jimenez book I read gets better and better--and that's saying a lot, because they are all so good!
