I was beyond thrilled To get an ARC months ago. I savored the anticipation for reading. Once I began I read it in one sitting. It’s a terrific book. I liked the Wakan world much better than Alexis’ world. I empathized with the agony and the conflicted feelings Alexis felt for most of this story. However, she was grossly unfair to Daniel and kept so many things hidden. The two characters I liked the best were naughty Hunter and Briana, the tell-it-like-is woman. I am excited that Jimenez’s next book will be her story.
I kept waiting for Alexis to wake up and take command of her own life instead of being dictated by all the parts of her world.
Make this book a part of,your reading world.

Listen, I know I'm in good hands when I pick up an Abby Jimenez book, and don't ask me to pick a favorite. But Part of Your World is beautiful, and right now it's resting on top. Daniel and Alexis are both such fully drawn characters. Daniel knows who he is and what he values, and Alexis is smart and learning her worth after years of being made smaller by emotional abuse (reader note: both emotional and physical abuse are discussed and depicted in this book). Abby writes chemistry incredibly well, but she also really dives into the emotional connection between these characters. The city vs. small town contrast was so well done as well. Love, love, loved.

Thank you @berkleyromance and @netgalley for the #gifted eARC of PART OF YOUR WORLD!

Abby Jimenez’s books just get better and better. I absolutely loved PART OF YOUR WORLD and can’t wait for Bri’s book to come out next year.

Jimenez does an excellent job of balancing really hard (but important) topics like emotional and psychological abuse with witty banter, canine antics and ride-or-die BFFs.

My favorite parts about this book were the nods to Disney-tropes (the title, both MCs were “royalty”) and the tiniest touch of magic! I really wish I could get into my car and go visit Wakan and hopefully the town wouldn’t attack me with chestnuts! IKYKY!

One of themes throughout the book is that “Grace costs you nothing” and I think that perfectly sums up one of my core beliefs. The world would be a better place if people acted with a little more grace towards themselves and others.

PART OF YOUR WORLD is out 4/19/22!

loved this book, and I wouldn't call myself a romance fan. This is rom com - with very witty, authentic banter, and two characters who were so easy to root for. Both Alexis and Daniel are good people who are smart, likable, responsible and kind. Their circumstances seem doomed to keep them apart, and (unlike in many a novel in this genre) the burdens and obligations that seem to keep them apart actually make sense. Both are essentially heirs to a life they never got to choose, and each is in direct opposition to the others. LOVED the elements of magical realism that bring the town and the house to life-- playing a part in keeping two people who are meant to be, together. This was my first time reading one of Abby's books, and I see what all the fuss is about. Highly enjoyable, with the right amount of depth and story development.
Love the cover, too! I really hope this becomes a movie. I see maybe Amanda Seyfried or Bryce Dallas Howard.

Abby Jimenez has done it again! Alexis and Daniel come from very different lifestyles but they keep finding themselves drawn to each other like magnets. This book explores mental and physical abuse as well as dealing with a very controlling parent. I loved that Alexis grew as a character over the course of the novel and that were some magical realism elements sprinkled throughout. =) Abby Jimenez seems to be known for her heavy hitter topics with somehow still having a HEA (happily ever after). Daniel was such a cinnamon roll and it was enjoyable to see his confidence grow in his craft. I wish we got more of Derek and Nikki because their storyline seemed so interesting. Maybe we will get a prequel in the series? *crosses fingers, here’s to hoping but either way this was a great start to a new series and I can’t wait to read Bri’s story!

Huge thank you to Forever publisher for allowing me to read and review an ARC of Part of Your World!

Part of Your World (rom-com)
Rating: enjoyed

Thank you to netgalley and the publisher for the gifted digital advanced copy. All opinions are my own. Full review on bookstagram to come.

When I initially read the synopsis for this book I got major It Happened One Summer vibes. While the cozy, small town atmosphere with quirky townspeople was very similar and so fun to read, overall it was quite a different story.

I had a hard time with Alexis's character; she was just a huge snob. She grew a bit as the story developed, but she was still a snob. Don't even get me started on her awful "friend" group and her parents. I did like Bri, whose story is coming out next year (yay!), but she was the only supporting character close to Alexis that was a positive in her life. For me, a loveable friend group and main characters are essential for a rom-com. Daniel's character was great - he was patient, caring, and kind- but again many of the other supporting characters missed the mark for me. As the story wound down, the third act conflict was so cringey and there was zero communication, yet Alexis was forgiven way too easily - but that did fit with how kind Daniel's character was.

That being said, two things made this book special- Hunter the dog and the magical realism elements surrounding the town. I would've loved to see more of this and how the town made decisions for its villagers.

Content warning - traumatic birth, domestic violence, emotional abuse & gaslighting

DANIEL!!!!

Oh my goodness gracious. I.LOVE.THAT.MAN.

Daniel has swooned his way into my top 10 book boyfriends. He is damn near perfect, and I want one.

I liked Alexis, but I wanted to shake some sense into her almost the entire story.

The secondary characters Bri, Doug, Brian, and Liz, were just as loveable. You were rooting for them as much as Alexis and Daniel.

This was your classic country mouse, city mouse, and how their lives didn't mesh with some deep issues of main and secondary characters thrown in.
Abby may be an award-winning baker, but man, that woman can write!!

I've read every previous book twice and have loved them just as much as the first. She has a gift of sucking you into the story and making your chest hurt right along with the characters.

You'll love this story (ESPECIALLY MY DANIEL).
This book has it all - including a goat wearing pajamas and a pig named Kevin Bacon.

Thank you, NetGalley for the advanced copy. I couldn't wait until the release date.

Abby Jimenez is one of my favorite authors and it’s not just because of her adorable pups. (If you aren’t following their shenanigans on @tiktok, what are you waiting for?) Abby writes hysterical and heartfelt contemporary romances guaranteed to leave you in tears; both from laughter and emotion.

Part of Your World is her latest book and I devoured it over the weekend. I loved this story about an ER doctor who meets a carpenter after a raccoon makes her swerve off the road. Daniel comes to her rescue and then they part ways. Alexis runs into him in town and they hit it off… so well that the end up spending the night together. He’s just the change of pace she needs after her breaking up with her long time bf that her parents love. Even more than they love her. Daniel is a carpenter and B&B owner in a small town full of genuine good people. He can’t get Alexis out of his head and he’s thrilled when she tracks him down after their night together. But do they have too many differences? Can they make it work?

I loved that they were able to relax from their stressful jobs when they were together and just focus on themselves. I love silly Hunter and of course, Chloe is a true highlight of the book. 🐐 I’m so happy she made the cover! I felt terrible about Alexis’s family and I do wish we got a little more of Derek and Lola, but it was so enjoyable.

5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Jimenez does it again, with yet another can't put it down contemporary romance that features multi-faceted characters dealing with their own personal and familial issues.

One of my favorite rom-com's this year! Fall in love with small towns, chivalrous gentlemen, excitable dogs, and goats in pajamas with Abby Jimenez's latest love story...

Alexis is an accomplished emergency room doctor, yet nothing she does is ever good enough for her legacy family. And her recent failed relationship with the chief of surgery isn't helping her stay in her dad's good graces. Daniel, on the other hand, has his own legacy to live up to -- his family has held the mayorship of his tiny town (they don't even have a McDonald's) for over a hundred years, and it's up to him to keep the town afloat. On top of that, he's trying to run a B&B at his family's estate home in order to make a future for himself. So, no pressure for these two! It seems like fate when these two meet, and their instant attraction makes it hard to walk away. But their lives just don't fit together, and they are constantly pulled in different directions -- Daniel with his responsibilities and Alexis with her family and professional obligations. They will need to give everything to be a part of each other's world.

Thoughts: This is, by far, my favorite rom-com so far in 2022! Daniel is a total dreamboat, Alexis is ambitious but down-to-earth and likable, and their friends are hilarious. (With lines like saying she'd follow a clown into a storm drain if it had a baby goat in pajamas, I can't wait for Bri's book next Spring! LOL) Daniel and Alexis are so sweet together, the small town charm is adorable, and there is so much to enjoy throughout the book. Unlike Jimenez's last novel, Life's Too Short, that had me on "baited breath" wondering how the conflict would be resolved, readers can see an easy solution to this main conflict at least midway through. Made me want to shake Alexis and say, "Here's what you need to do!" Still totally worth it, though! I was smiling almost the entire time!

**Thank you, NetGalley and publisher, for an eARC in exchange for an honest review.**

TW: Mental abuse, physical abuse, manipulation

After driving into a ditch in the middle of nowhere, Alexis Montgomery comes face to face with Daniel Grant. A ridiculously handsome and kind carpenter who is 10 years younger than her. As Alexis gets to know Daniel better, she notices how completely different their worlds are: Daniel lives in a small tight-knit town running his grandparent’s home as a bed and breakfast while Alexis works in the city as an ER doctor for one of the most well-respected hospitals where her family name is legendary. As she tries to keep their romance as casual as possible, the more time she spends with him she begins to realize how impossible that is but also how impossible it would be for her to have him in her world and her in his. Daniel causes Alexis to question everything in her life and where she is truly meant to be.

I had seen so many amazing reviews for this one and I am happy to confirm that the hype is REAL 👏🏼 I loved everything about this romance, the two MCs had the most amazing chemistry that I could feel from the very first moment they met. DANIEL 👏🏼 GRANT. This sweet gem of a man must be protected at all costs. This man worshipped Alexis, cooks amazing meals, takes care of a BABY GOAT and just sets the bar to an unreachable high. My heart ached for the struggles Alexis was going to regarding the mental abuse she endured from her ex-boyfriend and even her own father, these two men made my blood BOIL 😤 I loved all the characters especially Alexis’ best friend Bri and the townspeople of Wakan, I could not put this one down and just did not want this story to end. This was my first Abby Jimenez read and will most definitely not be my last, hands down one of my absolute fave reads this year so far! Thank you so much to NetGalley and the Publisher for an eARC of this novel in exchange for my honest review. This title will be available for purchase on April 19th 2022.

I will always read whatever Abby puts out into the world. Always charming and witty and quirky with some dreamy book boyfriends.

There’s…
✨ a darling meet cute
✨ a baby goat in pajamas
✨ a romance with an age difference
✨ two people from completely different worlds
✨ intense family pressure
✨ breaking the cycle

While this one wasn’t my FAVORITE Abby Jimenez book (instant love/infatuation just isn’t my jam), I still really enjoyed it and was totally sucked into the story.

Abby has a way of writing such incredible banter between her characters that you find yourself just sitting and smiling while reading. I loved the quirky town and all the charming characters… excited to see what’s next for them in future books. 🤞

Out 4/19/22 and you really can’t go wrong! But, if you’re a new Abby reader… Happily Ever After Playlist and Life’s Too Short are my faves! 😍

I read this one on my kindle BUT audiobook lovers you should know… Julia Whelan is one of the narrators for this book!

Part of your world
By Abby Jimenez

TW: Emotional, mental and physical abuse(mentioned)

What happens when two worlds collide. The rich and the not so rich?

Alexis Montgomery is struggling with what her family wants for her and making them happy. She’s a thriving ER physician who loves what she does. She rich, beautiful and smart but is emotionally and mentally abused by her parents and Ex boyfriend Neil. She is constantly belittled and told she’s but doing enough.

Daniel Grant is…Daniel is everything. He’s sweet, caring, swoon worthy, hot, from the middle of nowhere with tattoos and a beard to die for. And they try to make things work. But can they?

I think Abby did a great job with talking about mental/emotional and physical abuse. These are very delicate issues which I think Abby did a fantastic job of portraying.

It was no surprise to me that I loved this book. Abby Jimenez is such a talented writer, and from someone who reads and loves a lot of books -- these books are truly special. I always enjoy the characters, and the plots are always emotional and full of love. This is an easy five star for me, and I cannot wait to read whatever she comes up with next.

Alexis is on her way home from yet another glitzy evening when she crashes her Mercedes into a ditch trying to avoid hitting a raccoon on a rural highway. Daniel, the handsome man who comes to tow her out, later takes her home to feed her (because in his small off-season resort village, there's no food available to buy that late). Their connection is immediate and overwhelming. After spending the night, Alexis flees the next morning, vowing never to return. But she can't stay away, and neither can he. The problems, though, are many: she's from a wealthy dynasty, obligated to her family's empire and enmeshed with her narcissistic, abusive parents. While she's an outstanding ER physician, speaks three languages, and is well-traveled, Daniel is barely scraping by and hasn't even been on an airplane before. In an oddly parallel situation, he is also from a dynastic family--the one that founded his town. However intelligent, sensitive, and thoughtful he is, Daniels is poor and oh BTW, 9 years younger than Alexis. Whereas she has never even learned to do laundry or peel a potato, Daniel runs a B&B, is a gourmet cook, and a woodworking artist. The two of them learn from each other and grow closer, but in the end, they both have to choose between their family's legacy and their once-in-a-lifetime soulmate.

Alexis, the emotionally abused daughter of a gaslighting father and enabling mother, is trying to break free from an abusive boyfriend. This book is the story of her journey to decide what her priorities are, and whether she'll find the courage to make a life on her own terms, or forever be an abused servant to her family. This book was wonderful on so many levels. The writing is great: sweet, funny, smart, and small-town rich. A really good read, and I'm looking forward to the sequel.

Abby is such a queen - she makes me fall in love and makes me ugly cry with EVERY BOOK!

At first, our main character Alexis grated on me - she seemed superior and somewhat helpless. After she meets innkeeper/handyman extraordinaire, Daniel, she felt more sympathetic to me. After realizing the pressures and trauma she had experienced from her past relationships, she becomes something even more human.

I have loved the way the books by Abby Jimenez are loosely tied in an extended universe by friends and cousins of characters from her other stories!

Part of Your World had everything that I’ve come to expect from Abby Jimenez. This book is filled with humor, heart, tons of emotion, characters that I rooted for (and some that I wanted to see spontaneously combust), and, of course, a few animals that just added the oohs and awws to the story.

As soon as I began reading this book, I had a smile on my face. Bad day at work? This book will fix that. Family driving you crazy? Escape with this book. Need to get out of a book funk? Look no further. Want to immerse yourself in a quaint town with some wonderful characters? Again, I highly recommend this book.

This was a fabulous opposites attract romance. It was also so much more than just a romance. It’s about being true to yourself, living your life on your terms, and being open to possibilities. It’s also about being brave when you feel anything but.

This book is brimming with heart. I laughed, I cried, I was angry, and then the author had me smiling again. There is just a magical feeling about this book that had me hooked from the get-go and kept me engaged and thoroughly entertained until the very last page.

I’m a true believer that a book is only as good as its characters, and this book had a great cast of characters. From the main characters to the secondary characters, Jimenez took the care to make them special and memorable, each one contributing their part to the overall story.

Part of Your World is just another example of why Abby Jimenez has become one my go-to authors. I'm a big fan of this author's writing and humor, so if she's releasing a book, I’m going to read it.

This was adorable. Abby Jimenez has this fantastic way of hooking you into a romance, but then giving you depth and heart and real life struggles that you weren't necessarily looking for, but add so much to the story. Alexis and Daniel absolutely come with a set of challenges - jobs, lifestyle, age, family - but their instant attraction to each other keeps pulling them together. Filled with incredible side characters, cute animals and small town vibes, Part of Your World is completely binge-able and a perfect Sunday afternoon read.

There are not enough words of praise in the dictionary for this fabulous book! Abby Jimenez has once again written an amazing book that conveys so many emotions through her marvelous characters.
Daniel and Alexis are very complex characters that have led very different lives. Their different worlds collide with the help of a racoon and a fasinating little town full of colorful characters. Alexis easily becomes a part of Daniel's world but it is very hard for her to trust him enough to bring him into her world.
The issues that are brought into this stunning book are PTSD, domestic violence, psychological abuse and depression. They are addressed in a subtle but thought provoking way that, hopefully, can offer help those who recognize these behaviors in their lives or those that they love.
The plot of this phenomenal book is very well-conceived and written beautifully. The story is told flawlessly with the alternating points of view of Alexis and Daniel. The feeling of both characters are so well conveyed that you can feel their love, fears and heartbreak in your own being.
I highly recommend this book! It is so hard to put down and could easily be read in one sitting but I tried my best to take my time so I could savor this wonderful story and enjoy every word.
I am so very grateful to Forever Publishing and Netgalley for the opportunity to read an ARC of this phenomenal book in exchange for a honest review.
