Abby Jimenez DOES NOT DISAPPOINT! There was so much to love in this story - starting off with my favourite aspect... the pet goat!! I love how Abby always manages to tie in some sort of animal into the plot lines of her stories.

There was so much to love in this story. Both characters are absolutely adorable (I am actually in love with Daniel) even though they come from completely different worlds. I haven't read many books of this trope, but I actually loved this so much that it may be one of my new favourites!!

Abby is the queen of putting her readers through an emotional roller coaster, but then always delivering the sweetest HEA. I adored this one and cannot wait to scream about it with my fellow romance lovers!

Genre: romantic comedy
Pub date: April 19, 2022

Themes: emotional abuse, chosen family, community, age-gap romance, social class, fate, unconditional love, empowerment

My thoughts: this book has one of my favorite plot lines—big city doctor meets small-town country boy. It gave me major Hart of Dixie and Virgin River vibes. And from the second I started reading it, I couldn’t PUT IT DOWN. It’s definitely one that can be binged in a weekend. It was sweet and funny, but also touched on some very serious topics, like abuse and differences in social class. There were also nods to Disney princesses throughout the book, which I thought was really fun. And it has one of the sweetest book boyfriends ever—probably my favorite of all the Jimenez books so far. Overall, definitely recommend this one to my romance fans!

Who should read: fans of Sweet Home Alabama, Hart of Dixie, Virgin River

I loved Alexis and Daniel from their first real conversation at the VFW. Their banter and chemistry and how wonderful they are together is off the charts. Alexis spends a lot of time second guessing and trying to deny that they have a relationship because of the age difference and their different circumstances, neither of which Daniel cares about at all. His town of Wakan totally embraces her as she starts showing up more often. Being around Daniel makes her reevaluate a lot of things in her life, and I loved watching her grow and find her voice.
This was another great Abby Jimenez book, with two people who were obviously made for each other but had some significant speed bumps. The town of Wakan and the secondary characters there, in addition to the animals, made the book especially fun to read.
Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

Abby Jimenez does it again with Part of Your World! I love this series so much and how some parts are based in my local area of Minnesota. It did take me a while to finish because I wanted to savor it so it wouldn’t end! This romance is full of humor, small-town vibes, and characters you will want to be your real-life friends. There is so much to love with this romance between Alexis and Daniel. I highly recommend reading this whole series in order, even though they are stand-alone.

Thank you, Forever, for my gifted copy for my honest review.

I didn't think I would like the age gap between the two main characters but Abby Jimenez wrote it so well that I loved it.

So, I had no expectations going in to this book, and honestly it blew me away! The writing was beautiful! I was hooked from beginning to the end! The way Alexis and Daniel met was super cute and fun! Daniel had my heart from the moment he was introduced! He was so sweet and loved Alexis!!

Very sweet and cute read! Definitely recommend!!

Abby, you can do no wrong. 😍⁣

Y’all, I have something to admit…⁣

Since reading The Friend Zone, I have anxiously awaited each release from Abby. As soon as they land on my porch I jump for joy and hug the crap out of them and then I stare at them longingly for months. I don’t read them right away because I don’t want them to be over. I savor them bit by bit and when I turn the last page I know I have characters that have left a mark on my bookish heart.⁣

This time was no different than the rest. I absolutely adored Alexis and my new book boyfriend Daniel. I loved being part of their worlds and I cannot wait for Bri’s story.⁣

Please do us a favor Abby and never stop writing stories like these. Stories of real people with real problems, reminding us that the people in our lives should be filling our cups and not emptying them.⁣

Five stars. A solid 5 ⭐️’s.⁣
Trigger warning for domestic abuse.

Book Review:
This was my first book from Abby Jimenez and I just have to say, it think she is an auto-read author for me after this first book!

This book had all the elements I look for in a 5⭐️ read… it had humor, a strong MC, the soulmate/inevitably tied together feeling, small town, ambition, heartbreak, and a baby goat as a bonus.

I chuckled and experienced chest tightening as I experienced the joy and pain right alongside Alexis and Daniel. Everything in their story was about the strength to accept what you deserve and walk away from what doesn’t serve you and fill your cup. A message that I find needs to be out there more, and that it is okay to walk away from family if that family doesn’t uplift and support you. So many times, we hear, “but they are your family” when faced with trauma, but this story so beautifully allowed Alexis to take a step away from the trauma she had faced at the hands of her parents and her Ex and step into who she was always meant to be.

This one really gives you the whole range of emotions and I honestly can’t wait to read Bri’s Story!

Thank you NetGalley, Forever, and Grand Central Publishing for the ARC of this book! I am so thankful to obtain a copy to read in advance of its release!

Five stars for Abby Jimenez! What a fantastic read. The characters were authentic with great depth. A true rom com with Virgin River vibes. The book does hit on abuse, but is not graphic with the scenes.

The storyline of Alexis highlights wealth and Daniel one of a hardworking middle class. These two intertwine in such an intriguing way for a fantastic read. I completed in one day! I couldn’t put it down!

(Don’t mind me writing this review at 3:30am. I physically could not put the book down so here we are.)

Just when I thought I could not possibly adore Abby Jimenez more…… she has the AUDACITY to write this STUNNING book. WOW DID I LOVE THIS BOOK!!!! Alexis and Daniel own my heart and soul. I’ve never read about two people who complement each other SO well. They both come from completely different worlds and yet they couldn’t be better suited for each other. Daniel is THE ultimate book boyfriend. In true Abby Jimenez fashion, this book had me laughing one second and crying the next. Abby never fails to deliver an EPIC romance story. I can’t wait for 2023 to read Bri’s story!!!! Until then, I will be in a SERIOUS book hangover.

Part of Your World is a story of two people from two very different backgrounds, who find each other and love in a small town in the middle of nowhere. However, they’re both part of a long line of generations that expect them to continue in their line of work. What are they willing to give up? This once in a lifetime love or their family and a century worth of work?

I have loved all of Abby Jimenez’s books and this one is no different. I love the humor she infuses in her stories and the banter between our two main characters. She has this way of mixing humor while also dealing with tough subjects. Part of Your World has a major theme of abuse, physical, mental, and emotional. And also a theme of mental health. I love that Abby doesn’t shy away from the tough topics and by doing so gives us a story that is completely relatable.

This book did feel a bit different from her other works. In this story she mixed in some magical elements. While I appreciate the attempt to do something different, I’m not sure it was needed. It didn’t feel like it added anything to the story for me. Part of Your World delivers classic Abby humor and emotion and was a solid 4 star read.

Abby has done it again - she is a phenomenal author. I will read anything she writes and she's an auto-buy author for me! A fantastic, swoony romance. No one does chemistry/dialogue/banter better than Abby. 5/5 stars!

I have to say I have loved all of Abby Jimenez's books so far so I had high hopes for this book. Jimenez did not disappoint, she delivered another adorable and heart wrenching romance that I just couldn't put down. I loved the characters in this books and I desperately hope we get more books featuring some of the side characters. This book truly made me feel all the feels. If sweet romances with some of the most loveable characters around is your thing than pick this book up.
Also a side bonus there is a a baby goat in pajamas! How can you say no to a baby goat?

Part of Your World was a delight! Abby Jimenez does a great job of creating characters who draw readers in. I enjoyed the magical elements of Daniel’s house and town.

I admittedly had a somewhat rocky start to my journey with Abby Jimenez. But with this book, I’m officially hooked.

This book features Alexis, a doctor who gets her car stuck in a ditch - only to be rescued by Daniel, a hot carpenter and inn owner who’s 10 years her junior. Alexis and Daniel have instant chemistry, which quickly advances from a physical connection to an emotional one. But as the significant differences in their lifestyles emerge, they’re forced to consider whether their connection is enough to sustain a real relationship.

I don’t know how she does it, but Abby Jimenez manages to make each of her books better than the last.

This had all my favourite rom com elements:

✅ Genuine, likeable leads (Daniel is basically the perfect man)
✅ Palpable chemistry
✅ An age gap that’s addressed with substance
✅ Roadblocks to the relationship that feel realistic and genuinely difficult to overcome, not just plot devices, and are meaningfully resolved
✅ A parental/family pressure component
✅ A small town setting with quirky, loveable locals
✅ A baby goat in pajamas (which I didn’t know I needed in my life, but now don’t know how I lived without)

This book was just a true delight to read, and made me feel all the feelings. The only downside is that I read it virtually, so I don’t have a hard copy to gaze at adoringly on my bookshelf.

Thank you so so much to Forever and NetGalley for the opportunity to read an advance e-ARC of this title. All opinions are my own.

Oh my gosh, yes. Loved this. Alexis and Daniel were both really well-written characters. While I don't normally like the insta-love trope, it felt really believable in this situation. The tension and attraction between Alexis and Daniel was obvious from the start without being cringy and forced.

I thought the topic of abuse was handled really well in this book; especially the different responses a person can have to being in a DV situation.

The plot did mostly resolve the way I thought it would, but it was still quite the ride to get there. I loved this book a lot.

Abby Jimenez is an auto-read author for me and her books are frequently ones I reread because I’ve loved them so much. Knowing that, Part of Your World is hands down my favorite one yet.

Alexis Montgomery (yes, for you Grey’s Anatomy fans, that’s her name) is part of a medical dynasty. Recently single and on her way home from a funeral, she crashes her car in a small town where the only tow truck drive is six beers deep at the local VFW. Lucky for her, a Good Samaritan tows her out and sets her on her way. Little did they know that that meeting would set into motion a series of events that would change their lives and their communities.

I loved Alexis and Daniel individually and so much more together. Individually, they’re both strong characters with so much depth and heart but together they are magic. The tenderness and intimacy between them makes their chemistry absolutely fly off the page. This is the least steamy book of Abby’s yet but you still feel their connection and chemistry in every interaction. I adored the town of Wakan and each of the people in it. The way that Abby wrote the town’s magic is subtle and lovely and makes me immediately want to reread to pick up on all the little nuances.

Content warnings abound in this one, so take care when reading. There is a very heavy theme of domestic abuse (physical, emotional, and psychological) which are on page and for both the main character and a side character; also complications with childbirth also on page for a side character but baby and mom are fine.

Thanks to Forever and NetGalley for the gifted copy. All opinions are my own.

There are two very different worlds colliding in Part of Your World, an opposite attract romance set in an age gap. It is not usually my cup of tea to read about an age gap, but the author handled it well. Despite their almost 10-year age difference, the couple's age difference did not seem like a problem at the end.

The chemistry between Daniel and Alexis was also wonderful, it just felt right. Their connection felt effortless. Outside influences, such as friends and family, complicated things.

I've read a few of Abby Jimenez's books and I personally like how she captures heavy topics. Domestic violence is the subject of the author's latest novel, and she tackles it realistically and sensitively. In my opinion, the author, as always, did an excellent job blending such an emotional storyline into one that fit and worked!

The writing and character development in the book were both excellent. She writes excellent books, but the only problem I had with this one was I couldn’t remember much about it once I' finished it,. I just didn’t find it to be very memorable. I personally enjoyed Life’s too Short better but this was still a great novel, that being said I believe everyone should have her books on their must read list!

Abby Jimenez is an auto-buy author for me. Not only is she hilarious and entertaining, but she also writes like she speaks. Her words are authentic and remind me of actual conversation, internal monologue, and banter, and it’s refreshing to be given a story so easy to devour. I find Im just desperate for more Abby Jimenez words.

That being said, Part of your World is different from Abby’s other three books. While still contemporary romance, I would say that this book is slightly also more fairy tale retelling. There are heavy themes throughout the story, but the steamy factor is mild, which isn’t what I’d come to expect from an AJ book. That isn’t a deterrent, just something unexpected.

Daniel and Alexis come from two different worlds, but something like fate or destiny bring them together. What keeps them coming back to each other, when they’re both so different? Or, are they really so different after all? Read to find out!

I’m really happy with the whole story. Daniel and Alexis are wonderful characters and I’m so happy I got to know them.

𝙼𝚈 𝚃𝙷𝙾𝚄𝙶𝙷𝚃𝚂: I LOVED this book! This was actually my first book that I’ve read by the author, and I can’t wait to go back and read The Friend Zone series.

This book does have some heavier topics with physical/emotional abuse, but I loved how Abby used a strong female character that despite being smart, successful, and a great career, still can fall victim to physical and emotional abuse without even realizing it. Also, I’m sure a lot can relate to the push and pull that our parents have on us. We want their approval , but also live our lives on our own terms. (Even though I’m in my 30s, married, with my own family, I still feel it.) I felt so bad for Alexis when her parents were siding with her ex-boyfriend because of an image. I mean come on!

There were lots of funny parts throughout the book, as well as parts where I cried/felt heartbroken for Alexis. Overall, one of my favorite reads this year. (I’m starting to have too many I think. 😆)
