Part of your world, is really out of the world because this is Ms. Jiminez’s best work right here. The writing, the loveable characters, the story and everything is just absolutely perfect. I really loved it.
Thank you for the chance to read this and approving my wish.
Absolutely love, Abby Jimenez does it again. After Life’s too short I didn’t think I would find another of her books that became and instant favorite and this one is it. Definitely recommend. And I can not wait to purchase a physical copy for my collection.
I read this book by candle light during a power outage, on a shattered kindle and it was perfect.
I have positively no notes, Abby Jimenez broke the mold with this one. Historically I have really enjoyed Jimenez’s books but this one knocked me out of the park.
if you like contemporary romance at all you need to read it the moment it comes out!
I fell in love with Daniel and Alexis, who I pictured as Alexis and Mutt from schitts creek 🙈 I fell in love with Waken, the town that decides who to keep. Make sure to have your tissues ready because every line in this book is like poetry.
There aren't many rom-coms that can deliver a swoon-worthy romance alongside darker topics such as abuse, but Jimenez has clearly proven herself up to the challenge. The sensitivity and care with which this story was approached are absolutely fantastic and unmatched. I've enjoyed all of Jimenez's previous releases, but I think this is her best work so far.
Abby Jimenez is one of my most favorite rom-com authors. When I saw that it was on Netgalley, I screamed! And when i got approved I was over the moon!
So Thank you Netgalley, Abby Jimenez and Forever Grand Central Publishing for this e-ARC!
When Alexis Montgomery meets her total opposite Daniel Grant who lives in such a different world than hers, she finds herself questioning if their fling could turn into something more. Alexis being a rich, city girl doctor while Daniel being 10 years younger and living the small town life, she is left wondering whether she needs to choose between her world or his.
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5. Abby Jimenez just doesn’t fail to hook me with her writing, her characters and her plots! How she creates such lovable characters and their chemistry is so impressive that I am just always wanting more. She also doesn’t fail to insert real life issues in her books and still manages to make it a feel good book when it’s done. She definitely pulled me out of my reading slump and I am so happy she will be releasing another book with one of the characters in this one. Pick this one up if you’re looking for an opposites attract trope type of romance. It’ll definitely swoon you over ❤️
⚠️ Domestic violence, Emotional and physical abuse
I enjoyed this book so much!! I loved the romance, the banter, the love interest, and especially the baby goat that wears pajamas!!! Like how cute?
This book gave me major greys anatomy vibes at first which I loved. I’ve always enjoyed watching shows like scrubs and greys anatomy so reading a book about a doctor from a family full of prestigious doctors who has a lot to live up to really interested me.
I adored the characters, especially Daniel!! He is so cute and thoughtful and would literally do anything for her and the entire town. I just absolutely adored him!!! The romance is general was well done, I especially loved when it got a bit angsty later in the book. It was heart wrenching, but in a good way because it was down so well. I really felt for both Alexis and Daniel and their relationship.
One of the things I really enjoyed about this book though was the way it approached abusive relationships. It showed both emotional & physical abuse in relationships
and I felt the author approached it well and helped get across an important message.
*thank you to the publisher & NetGalley for providing me with a digital arc in exchange for an honest review*
4.5 Stars
I was almost intimidated to start this because I absolutely adored "Life's Too Short" but Abby Jimenez has done it again! I'm a sucker for a good rom-com and this one delivered on all of it's promises. I couldn't put this book down. Part of Your World is an adorable read that brings you the opposites attract/age gap romance tropes with a twist! I fell in love with both Alexis Montgomery and Daniel Grant and the magical small town of Wakan. The story was constantly reminding me of both Grey's Anatomy (Alexis being the doctor left to carry on the family legacy) and Heart of Dixie (Daniel being the mayor of the small magical town). I also can't forget to mention how much I adored Bri, Alexis' one and true best friend in the story.
Jimenez has a way of tackling heavy matters seamlessly without it feeling too much? (TW: emotional/verbal abuse) And here you get a wonderful ratio of the heavy blended in perfectly with the romance/comedy and let's not forget the SPICE! I've read Abby Jimenez's previous works but I think this may be her spiciest rom-com yet!
This book made me laugh and tear up and yearning for the kind of chemistry that Alexis and Daniel are described to have and I'm excited to read Bri's story in 2023!
A big thank you to the author and Forever pub for the opportunity to review an advance copy via NetGalley. Part of Your World is scheduled for US publication in April 19, 2022.

I’m going to pretend I’m not an emotional wreck after this one.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
WHAT I LOVE:
🩺 Alexis is strong, capable and smart (I’m talking bad ass ER doctor smart)
Daniel is a dream boat. Caring and kind and STRAIGHT FORWARD ABOUT WHAT HE WANTS.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🩺 Dual POV’s
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🪵 THE F*ING RING LIGHT
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🩺 small town magic 🧙🏼♀️
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🪵 found family
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Like Alexis, I too could be swayed by an attractive man with a baby goat in pajamas. All it took was Chloe, a grilled cheese, and our girl was a goner. I loved the dual POV’s and how Daniel knows what he wants! 👏🏼 As you may pull from the title, there is a bit of disney-esque magic throughout the book, specifically within Daniel’s small hometown. The romance develops quickly and carries throughout the book as Alexis and Daniel become more entangled in each other’s lives.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Abby has an incredible way of creating a rom com that also dives into heavy topics with grace. Emotional abuse from a partner and a parent, on page gas lighting and on page physical abuse from a secondary character are all included.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This book felt heavy, sometimes sad, but so so full of love.

Thank you Net Galley and Grand Central Publishing for a copy. This is a voluntary review.
I really enjoyed this one. I was initially going to read this closer to pub day, however, I saw Ashley Spivey posted about how Abby used some of her tweets/posts about her experience with emotional abuse in this book and I was just in the mood for it and it didn't disappoint.
It was heavy and hurty (yep I said that) but not as much as I thought it could be which is probably a point in the pro column, it wasn't really dark just sadly realistic.
I loved both MCs - loved how Daniel was the one teaching Alexis all the things she never learned while becoming a badass emerg doctor. (how to cook, how to clean and it wasn't in a 'you should know this' kinda way. She asked so it was just sweet)
You'll like this if you like
- opposites attract in every possible way' dynamic.
- the worst parents in all the land (on both sides) putting pressure on Daniel and Alexis (in wildly different ways) but forcing them to adapt.
- found family
- the worst ex ever (this is where most of the hurty feels came from) I liked that he was such a despicable character, seeing the MC overcome such a toxic situation was very satisfying.
Loved it! Highly recommend.
Part of Your World absolutely checked all of the boxes for me! I was skeptical going into this one since Jimenez's previous works just didn't hit for me. With opposites attract, small town/big city, age gap and social gap tropes, I was suckered in and not left disappointed. While also hitting themes of familial expectations and domestic abuse, Alexis and Daniel's chemistry lights up the pages. The journey to their HEA is filled with loveable, and some less-than-loveable, characters both human and mammalian. Abby Jimenez has created a story and characters that feels genuine and also transported me to my rom-com happy place. Part of Your World is a beautiful blend of heart, sass, and angst including some recognizable Disney moments that will likely make you swoon!
This book! As ever, Abby Jimenez delivered on the most beautiful emotional treachery imaginable. I have yet to read a book by this author that doesn’t both break and then mend my heart with equal grace and skill. The main characters were fantastic, the way their relationship was described and how Jimenez used words to show that Daniel and Alexis had a once-in-a-lifetime love was brilliantly done. The legacy of family, the pressures felt by both characters, and how it all resolved in the end was perfect. While I suspected what the ending would bring, I couldn’t have guessed how rich with details the resolution to the conflict would have been - so clever and nuanced. I laughed, I cried, I swooned. I cannot wait for the next books in this series!
Abby's new book. Is perfect. Completely perfect. hands down the best book she has written. That man will now be the man to beat in the history of book boyfriends!
I love Abby Jimenez! I say this everytime I read her books but really I think this is my favorite AJ book. It is an amazing read! The kind that makes you cry one page and crack up on the next one. I am so looking forward to Bri’s story. I highly recommend this book and series .
Oh wow. This was fantastic! Not surprised at all because Abby is so talented and writes the best, softest, purest heroes and badass heroines ever. Daniel is my everything now. I love him so much. I just really can’t wait for this to be out in the world so more people can meet my new favorite couple!

I’m a little torn in rating this one. Sometimes I feel like the rating system deserves a breakdown of mitigating factors.
I feel like on the steam scale, this was a solid four stars, maybe even four and a half - at times my eyebrows were probably suggestively wiggling during some scenes. A well-executed steamy moment is not always easy to do, and in this regard, between the banter and the bedroom, this was: *chef’s kiss*.
In terms of narrative, there were certain sections where it lost me a bit. I liked Alexis as a character, and while I believe and appreciate that being brought up with money would have allowed her a life of luxury and privilege that wouldn’t require her to know how to fix her garbage disposal, I have a really hard time believing she wouldn’t know “how” to do something like peel a potato or sweep. As an emergency room physician I’m pretty sure if handed a potato and a peeler or a broom, she could figure it out - this was a repetitive narrative that undermined her intelligence, and it really bothered me.
In regards to content, I commend the author for touching on other form of domestic abuse other than physical - there are so many ways in which abuse can occur, and I appreciated that they were highlighted here. Additionally, the generational impact of growing up watching and experiencing these relationships was also discussed and acknowledged, which is so important in understanding an often overlooked factor in the cycle of abuse.
Ultimately, as my first read of the year, this was certainly not a bad way to cross a book off my reading list. ‘Part of Your World’ hits shelves in April 2022, and we are appreciative to @NetGalley , Forever & Grand Central Pub for a digital advanced readers copy of this book.

UGH, Abby Jimenez has done it again. I read The Happy Ever After Playlist and Life's Too Short, and I didn't think she could top Life's Too Short -- but I think she did with Part of Your World!! This romance is adorable yet serious, tackling very important topics like domestic violence. The story features an age gap romance, and a city slicker falling in love with a country dweller, which is always fun. I couldn't put this book down, and I will be recommending it to everyone as a top romance of 2022 for sure.
I cried so hard by the end of this book.
I really wasn’t sure going into this whether I’d enjoy it or not. I was skeptical about the age difference and how the magical realism would work within a contemporary romance novel.
I should never doubt Abby Jimenez. This was absolutely incredible. It was laugh out loud funny and so heartfelt. I loved that the main character explores mental health, emotional abuse, and choosing yourself over the expectations of others.
Not to mention the romance is absolutely dreamy, swoon worthy, and so sweet. Daniel has major golden retriever energy and it’s adorable. I loved their banter and their sweet love together.
This book brings together emotional stakes, romance, and a little bit of magic to create something incredible.
CW: emotional abuse, physical abuse, PTSD, depression, abusive spouse, abusive parents, trauma
I love Abby Jimenez! While this wasn't my favorite book she's written (that would be The Happy Ever After Playlist) it was still a very good read!!
I am so happy to have ended with this book in 2021. It’s a five star read for me and I cannot wait for you to read it when it comes out April 19, 2022.
This book is a perfect balance of romance, starting over, familial drama and dealing with trauma.
Alexis Montgomery is a doctor coming from a long line of prestigious doctors. When she meets Daniel Grant, her world is completely changed. They begin a fling which turns into a relationship which turns into love. The problem is that they are from two different worlds. She’s from an ambitious, wealthy family and friends that will never accept her relationship with someone like Daniel. Daniel is a mayor of the small charming town and takes care of its people. Can they learn to forge a path so they can stay in each other’s worlds?
I loved how this dealt with family. Alexis family was awful and so were some of her friends. Her father was THE worst. I loved Daniel because he was not threatened by Alexis’ ambition or power. He built her up even though others who were supposed to love her brought her down. Watching her become independent and confident through the assistance of the love of the town and Daniel, gave me such joy.
Thank you to Netgalley for providing a digital copy in exchange for a review!
Abby always knows how to hit you right in the feels and never disappoints with her books. She knows how to make you laugh (grilled cheeses and baby goats) but also tackle tough and genuine issues like domestic violence. I couldn't put this one down and can't wait to recommend it to my friends as soon as it's released.
Also, Abby's Tiktoks are hilarious. She's seriously one of my favorite authors of all time.
