Her strongest title yet, Part of Your World offers readers a new cast of characters to fall in love with. The leads here are funny, smart, and charismatic - their chemistry leaps off the page. The dialogue in this one is often laugh-out-loud funny - a rare talent that few authors possess - and this book will satisfy fans of Jimenez's previous works as well as draw her legions of new ones. The ending feels a little rushed, and some of the subplots feel as though they're wrapped up too quickly and too tidily, but the emotional beats largely land and readers will be glued until the very last page. A delight.

I received a copy of this book from Netgalley and Forever Publishing! All opinions are my own!

Where do I even begin with my love for this book?? As a current medical student who has grown up in a very modest, country life, I knew I absolutely had to pick this book up, and it certainly did not disappoint!

I think my favorite part about this book was how real and raw it became. It wasn't just a story about a cute romance, but it was a story about Alexis recognizing a cycle of abuse and learning that she was strong enough to pull herself out of it and end the cycle, that she didn't need saving from her mom, from a man, or from anyone else. She'd spent so long helping others, but she finally realized that helping herself was within reach as well.

But also don't get me started on how cute the romance is! As a life-long lover of The Princess Bride, the fact that these two are such nerds about that movie makes me smile uncontrollably. Their chemistry from the moment they met was almost palpable off the pages, and when they weren't together, it was all I could do to keep myself from skipping to the next part where they would be together. Everything about their connection was so genuine and so sweet, I just utterly loved it!

If you're a romcom fan, you will not want to miss this one! I can't wait to go check out the rest of Abby Jimenez's books (which I will be doing immediately)!

This was by far my favorite Abby Jimenez book, and that's saying a lot, as they are all enjoyable, romantic, funny, just what you need to read to pick yourself up type of books. Alexis comes from a very rich, sophisticated family, and is continuing her family's legacy as a doctor. Daniel, ten years her junior, runs a bed and breakfast and is a carpenter. They meet by chance when Alexis gets her car stuck in a ditch, and from there she develops a relationship with Daniel, and the people who live in Wakan, a small-town community where Daniel serves as mayor and has his own family legacy to maintain. They are both from completely different worlds, yet Alexis continues to be drawn to Daniel and to the city of Wakan. What starts as a hookup quickly develops into feelings and Abby Jimenez does a great job balancing equal parts steam and relationship development. She also does a great job weaving into the story more serious issues like abuse and gaslighting, but still keeps the story light and funny throughout. I highly recommend reading this when it comes out. Thank you to Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for the opportunity to read and review.

Small town boy, meets big city girl in this charming rom-com. Alexis’ family have been important doctors at the renowned Royaume Northwestern Hospital for one hundred and twenty-five years. A few hours south in the summer tourist town of Wakan, Daniel’s family have been the caretakers and mayors of town for one hundred twenty-five years. Both Alexis and Daniel hold a legacy. Can two people from two completely different worlds meet as one?

Abby Jimenez has never disappointed me with her novels and this one is no different. This novel tackles some very complex issues (like her other novels do), but is well balanced with lighthearted humor and a little bit of “magic”. I found myself chuckling several times and enjoying the falling acorns off season, the lightning strikes in the sun, and the falling petals off season. Daniel and Alexis are both extremely likeable – most of the time, I got a little frustrated with Alexis. The secondary characters are some of my favorites that this author has developed. The quirks of Wakan and its people, makes the book even more entertaining.

Some added pluses are the character connections between the books. You get to hear about Lola, Adrian, Vanessa, and Josh – there are probably others, those are the ones I remember. I love these nods to her other books and that it’s a small world.

Overall, I loved this book! Probably at the top with “Happily Ever Playlist” as my favorite Abby Jiminez novels, so far! Great book! Loved the Princess Bride movie quotes.

Thank you Netgalley and Forever for this ARC. I thoroughly enjoyed this novel and cannot wait to get Bri’s story next!

I'm a fan of this author and have enjoyed all her books thus far. With that said, Life's Too Short was my least favorite out of the three. I enjoyed this story but as I have with all of her subsequent books, I compare them to The Friend Zone which still reigns Supreme.

Wow! Abby never fails to write such heartfelt story. I really admire and love her writing and writing topics. So relatable and swooning.

I loved Alexis and Daniel’s story. And I loved Bri too! I can’t wait to hear Bri’s story. What I loved about this book is that we generally hear or read stories coming from a not so wealthy family/life and how it affects you and your life and others around it. But being able to read from Alexis POV and her coming from a wealthy family/life and being so fortunate but also how it affects you personally and how you have to live up to certain standards, it made me realize it’s not always roses either. Seeing how Alexis’ lifestyle intertwined with Daniels was just so amazing. There’s so much about this book that I loved on how it touches on such heavy topics like domestic violence and what not. Domestic violence doesn’t always have to be physically but also emotionally too and I for one can definitely relate to this so much.

I adored this book so much that even though I was able to read an early copy of it, I still went and preordered a signed copy from Magers and Quinn. I love you, Abby and I can’t wait to read Bri’s story.

Thank you @readforeverpub and @netgalley for an early eARC copy of this book.

Another solid read from Abby Jimenez. Alexis and Daniel are such good, pure people. I was pretty upset knowing that the author was going to destroy them at some point so there would be the dramatic plot required for a novel. It all works out, as it should in the world of romance. There are too many hilarious scenes to recount, so I’ll just say this book is perfect for patrons who can handle a little heartbreak, some hot scenes, and get references to The Princess Bride. It is really funny and has wonderful side characters (and several as$es, too-but they serve their purpose) content warnings let readers know there is domestic violence, physical abuse, and emotional abuse addressed in this one. It is well done.
5 star rating, just like The Grant House B&B on TripAdvisor 😉.

These books are just magical. The romance always feels like it could really happen and yet extremely special at the same time. I just would read anything Abby Jimenez writes and I hope I get the chance.

4.5 stars.

I have read all of Abby Jimenez's books and of all her heroes Daniel is my favorite. I love the way she writes the stories that are so easy to fly through but she also writes about real-world problems and issues that people are having like the healthcare issues within a small town. In Part of Your World Alexis and Daniel both come from long legacies where they are from and despite issues with their parents have grown into their legacies. Daniel is a blue-collar guy from a small town in Minnesota and this town has all the normal small-town vibes. (coming from someone who grew up in a small town.) I loved reading about the amount that Daniel cared for his town as well as the people in the town. Watching Alexis let out the person she actually was while in Wakan was delightful. Her friends irritated me and I could do without them thanks. LOL. I absolutely loved the age gap.

overall I feel like this book was solid and enjoyable and I am looking forward to her next book.

Thanks Netgalley and Forever Romance for an early copy of this book in exchange for an honest review!

Thank you to @netgalley and @readforeverpub for my gifted e-ARC of Part of Your World, by Abby Jimenez! I was SO excited to receive this book, and I loved every minute of it. In short, if you loved Jimenez’s prior books, you’ll probably love this one too. In it, you’ll meet (and fall in love with) Alexis and Daniel. After meeting (baby goats are involved), their chemistry is simply undeniable, and they start meeting up. However, Alexis’s family has other plans for her life and career path, and Alexis has to decide what’s most important to her.

Y’all, my heart…this might be my most favorite of Abby’s books! I just love the intense emotion that she puts into her books. It grabs you, and doesn’t let you go until the last page. You’ll definitely want to keep the tissues handy for this one. You’ll think that you know what happens and then BAM! You’ll get hit with a twist or incredible gesture, and you’ll be amazed.

This book comes out on April 19th, and you’ll want to get your pre-orders in ASAP, if you’re interested.

Ok, confession time, this is my first book by Abby Jimenez 😱 I can safely say it will not be my last! After seeing so many people rave about her books, I had to see what all the fuss was about! I GET IT!! 👏🏼👏🏼 I am fully convinced that I now need to read every single book she puts out, as well as go back and read her previous novels!

Alexis Montgomery is a successful ER doctor who comes from a line of surgeons in a wealthy family. When her car gets stuck in a ditch while passing through a small town on her way home, she is rescued by Daniel Grant, the local mayor who also happens to be super hot and great with his hands.. I mean he builds things! 😉 Oh, and he is about ten years younger and he cooks! They have undeniable chemistry and hit it off right away. She soon finds herself sneaking back to his small town as often as possible to see him, but she knows that their relationship would never work. Daniel would never fit in her world, and she couldn’t fathom leaving the hospital where Montgomerys have worked for generations.

I loved the fact that Alexis is a badass female in her 30s! Both her and Daniel are such likable characters, who couldn’t be more different! They both come from complicated pasts and prominent families with legacies to continue. Watching their love grow through all the obstacles is messy, complicated, beautiful and heart warming.

CW: This story contains both physical and emotional abuse.

I could NOT put this book down! Abby Jimenez is a favorite and once again, she did not disappoint. There is magic in the town of Wakan; it attracts and keeps who it needs and needs it in return. The true and generous spirits of both Ali and Daniel have you rooting for them from their very first meeting. Despite their extreme differences in lifestyle, their souls are the same. The more they try to fight the universe the more nature forces them together. It is like The Notebook meets Practical Magic. It will tear your heart out and then wrap you in the most beautiful hug, giving you hope for the good in the world. This is the perfect escape for anyone feeling a bit down about the state of the world.

Full disclosure: I love Abby Jimenez. If you are looking for a romcom with some depth to it, any of her books are a good place to start.

Part of Your World is a perfect blend of humor and serious topics. Fair warning there are some abusive relationships, but I thought they were covered in a health manner. I loved Ali’s strength and Daniel’s playfulness. Together it just worked with such a wonderful and believable plot.

As a person from a small town in Minnesota I felt like I connected most with this story out of all of hers so far. I loved the others, so it’s high praise. If you’re looking for a great read this spring, it comes out in April!

4.5⭐️

Abby Jimenez did it again! In Part of Your World, she made us feel what Daniel and Alexis were feeling. I really got to know both of the main characters and felt their pain, heartache, and joy. I laughed with them and enjoyed all of the little Easter eggs I found. I could see why Daniel felt the way he did, and the same for Alexis. I’ve read this book twice now but can’t wait to read it again and again to see what I’ve missed!

Abby Jimenez once again knocks it out of the park with this book. Part of Your World is all the feels, making you realize status and money have no business in matters of the heart. I love Alexis and Daniel together. I loved how Alexis shed all the family expectations and her insecurities in this little town, finding herself and her soul mate at the same time. If you've never picked up an Abby Jimenez book before, this is one to start your love affair with a fantastic author.

I am very late to the Abby Jiminez party, but let me tell you… I’m never leaving. I can’t believe this was my first book by her, what have I been waiting for, honestly?

This book was so special, I don’t even know where to begin….

This story is about romance, friendship, goats in PJ’s but also touches upon the reality of domestic abuse.

When Alexis’s car breaks down in the middle of a small town, we meet Daniel, the (young) mayor of Wakan, who comes to her rescue. These two come from very different backgrounds. Alexis is a big city doctor who is expected to follow her family's legacy of world renowned surgeons, while Daniel seems to be the backbone of his little town.

The two quickly fall into a fun and beautiful romance, but Alexis knows that realistically bringing Daniel into her life is nearly impossible. He’s way younger, lives 3 hours from her hospital, and simply doesn’t fit in with her stuck-up high society parents.

This is my second draft of this review; the first time around I literally found myself saying I just loved this book over and over again. Jiminez did a phenomenal job and made the reader feel so immersed in this world. Obviously Alexis and Daniel’s romance was the forefront of this novel, but I enjoyed living vicariously through them in the town of Wakan. I laughed and I cried and rooted out loud for this couple throughout the entire novel.

This book is released on April 19th, and you bet I will be purchasing a hard copy!

🔊Song Pairing: What If - Kane Brown
(I definitely wanted pop country as the musical choice)

💭What I thought would happen:

I felt like it was self explanatory in the title with a heart wrenching love story ✔️

📖What actually happens:

Alexis heading home from a funeral sees a raccoon on the road, swerves and her life changes forever when the handsome, rugged Daniel whose chivalry goes far beyond saving her from dying in the ditch.

Alexis, a city girl, lives in a world of vast wealth and prestige while Daniel lives a simple small town life, prioritizing his town and the people of it before the needs of himself. How could one possible fit into the other’s life?

🗯Thoughts:

Baby goats in jammies, bitchy social circles and men with beards that smell like pine and sweat. Need I say more?!

This book is the reason I love reading. Finding gems like this justifies the time and trust I put into authors and reviewers! Abby writes like she’s looking into my soul and my past dating traumas then puts pen to paper and draws out feelings I’ve kept locked down for years. A true talent. In Abby, I trust.

Grace costs nothing and this book has it in spades! What a beautifully written story. I already anticipate that this will be one of the most popular books of 2022. Don’t walk, run and get this on its pub day. I must have a physical copy when it’s available. This was my 200th book this year. It was worthy of that landmark. An instant favourite read of this year.

Some serious Notebook vibes but much, much better because no matter what argument you make, that movie was trash.

This book has everything I love, the right balance of romance with a dash of cheesiness, a pinch of meant to be and just a sprinkle of drama that may as well be a direct injection into my system.

Part of Your World is a delightful conflation of razor-sharp banter/dialogue, fascinating characters, and narrative depth. It’s an opposites attract story that refreshes the trope in such a way that it feels wholly original and inventive. As ever, author Abby Jimenez understands the assignment.

After a run-in with a raccoon that leaves Dr. Alexis Montgomery stranded in a ditch, she’s aided by carpenter, Daniel Grant. After he turns down her offer of payment and heads off, she thinks it the last time she’ll ever see him… until they run into each other later at the only bar in the small town she’s passing through. When a drink leads to a grilled cheese and then more, Alexis finds herself continually drawn back to the small village of Wakan, and its handsome resident. Their lives don’t seem to fit, their futures tied to the places they live… and yet nothing feels as right as the moments when they’re together. Can Alexis and Daniel figure out how they can be a part of each other’s worlds? Or are they doomed to fail?

As an established Abby Jimenez fan, I can tell you that this book is an absolute delight for her fans and for new readers alike. It’s the kind of novel that pulls you in from the first page, and leaves you craving more once you’ve finished. There were so many moments when I laughed out loud at the keen hilarity of the dialogue and the moments of physical comedy that happen on page. The character development is top-notch; all of the players feel real, and the reader definitely feels a part of that world. (Pun intended.)

While the humor is on-point, there is also a sensitivity and understanding of much deeper, more difficult subject matter. The way that Jimenez unpacks partner/spousal abuse in its various forms is striking and powerful. It’s handled with sensitivity and care, and also presents it devoid of shame. I applaud the author for choosing to add so many layers of meaning to her narrative; this is the kind of novel that you can return to again and again and extrapolate something new from the text each time you read.

This is, by far, one of my top reads for the year, and I have no doubt it will make all of the 2022 lists. Do yourselves a favor and preorder this gem now; you will not regret it!

A sincere thank you to NetGalley and Forever for providing me with an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

What a great read!!!! The polar opposite lives the main characters lived made for such a tension filled romance! Daniel completely won me over from the first appearance! He was the epitome of a book boyfriend! Alexis was harder to relate to and vibe with but once she started showing her vulnerable side, I really liked her! The small town storyline really made this story. It was laughter out loud funny at times and heartbreaking other times. I really became invested in all of the side characters in Daniel’s life!

I hated the family drama they both faced and wished time and time again that they’d throw caution to the wind and just be selfish! I wanted this couple to find a way to make it work!!! Despite coming from two very different worlds, they were more alike and had more in common than you’d think.

The ending was so cute and heartwarming! I adored this book!
