Absolutely loved it.
While I saw the end solution early on, the emotional ride to get there was totally worth it.

Abby sure can write!

This book was SUPER GOOD! It's nice to see an older women dating a younger guy in a story but they are both so mature and it isn't so focused on (except a little by the MC girl)

This book will make you laugh (who can resist a baby goat in pajamas or a pig named Kevin Bacon!) This will make you sad (as it deals with the heavy topic of abuse in a couple of different forms). It will make you see people change and grow in ways they themselves never really expected.

Alexis has grown up in a life of privilege and her path is mapped out for her. Then she meets Daniel. Daniel is 10 years younger than her. He rescues her car out of a ditch and they have a one night stand that turns into a burning love affair. But Daniel is from a totally different world from her. He's had to work hard to get where he's at and it's still just barely hanging on.

What I loved most about this book is how sweet Daniel is and that he shows Alexis that she's more than just her status and wealth. He makes her see just how controlling her parents are. He makes her want to change her thoughts for the better. I love that Alexis jumps right in to help Daniel's little town with her medical knowledge!

In my eyes, Abby Jimenez can do no wrong and I will read anything she writes. Her fourth book, Part of Your World, kept me turning the pages late into the night while hitting me in the feels like her previous three. Jimenez consistently delivers romance with a side of comedy while still writing a book that effortlessly delivers a storyline dealing with extremely sensitive and important topics - in this case, domestic violence and emotional abuse. There are times this book had me laughing out loud and times I had tears pouring down my face. Her protagonists are always endearing, their struggles are real and relatable and her side characters ALWAYS help to weave together humor and serious undertones. For the fourth straight book, I would love if these characters were all my real life friends. This is the perfect read for a rainy day, a snow day or a beach day and fans of Jimenez will enjoy the little easter egg shout outs to her previous books. I was able to successfully guess who will be the center of her next book and I'm definitely here for it!

I loved Part of Your World by Abby Jimenez. I like the small town guy/wealthy girl trope and this one came with some twists and depth that others don’t carry. Alexis and Daniel were a great pair and I enjoyed getting to know them in this romance.

In Part of Your World, we get to know Alexis Montgomery, who is an ER doctor in the city and comes from a wealthy family who are renowned surgeons and expect her to follow the family legacy. In the small town of Wakan there is Daniel Grant, who is a carpenter and really close with the community of the small town. Alexis makes an unexpected stop in the small town of Wakan, and she meets Daniel and chemistry is immediate! The more time she spends in Wakan with Daniel, the more in love she falls with both. Now she feels conflicted on which world she belongs in.

I LOVED this book so much. I already want to re-read it. I loved the overall plot of the story and the way Abby Jimenez really allowed us to feel like we were stepping into a new world when she described the small town of Wakan. All of the characters had great dimension to them and really added to the storyline. And don’t even get me started on Alexis and Daniel…their chemistry and romance was through the roof! Fans of dual-POV and age gap (especially with an older female character) romance will love this!

Overall I give this 5/5 stars and 1/5 on the spice scale.

Thank you Forever (Grand Central Publishing) and NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

I’ve never fallen in love with a book so quickly! After reading the first chapter I knew this was going to be a great story. I loved everything about Daniel and Alexis story. My favorite parts were the nights they spent together in the small town and all the hospital/doctor stuff. I felt like I was reading an episode of greys antomy! I keep recommending this sweet book to all my friends and family!

OVERALL 4.5 / 5 STARS - Part of Your World

5 / 5 STARS - Story Authenticity

5 / 5 STARS - Relatable and Lovable Characters

2 / 5 STARS - Steaminess

#PartofYourWorld is the classic story of two different “classes” of people that find themselves with an instant chemistry. Despite age differences, long distances, and complicated commitments to their hometowns, Alexis and Daniel just keep falling back together like gravity, unable to fight the comfort they find in one another, but how long can it last? Life constantly gets in the way. Is there any chance they could stay in each other’s worlds?

@AbbyJimenez is by far one of my favorite authors, so when I had the chance to get an ARC, I had to try. As always, @AbbyJiminez creates a brilliant main character who’s family and career have been set since birth, and a love interest who’s love of his town and family heritage makes as all long for that level of commitment. I would love nothing more than to crawl into that little BnB and eat some delicious French toast (Abby, if this is a real place, I need to know!).

She did a brilliant job of laying out the story, and never feeling overcomplicated or over simplistic. Even the jerk of an ex has a small arc! From a story standpoint, I have no complaints. From a character standpoint… although she makes them completely understandable and relatable , the same level of chemistry that excited me in The Happily Ever After Playlist and The Friend Zone wasn’t quite there. I theorize that the reason being is that the characters find their way to an intimate level almost immediately, and without any sort of description. While it makes sense from a “drawing the characters back together” storyline, it left me a little wanting in that butterfly-level giddiness I’ve felt in all of her previous novels. In fact, this novel felt more like a “feel good” story rather than a “meet-cute” or “falling for you” romance. This is not at all a bad thing, but simply wasn’t what I was expecting. However, as a feel good story? 5/5 stars.

All in all, Part of Your World is an adorable, romantic feel-good story that will make you want to travel to a BnB and get lost in a small town. If you enjoyed This Time Next Year by Sophie Cousens, I think you’ll very much enjoy this novel.

Thank you again to Forever Publishing, Grand Central Publishing, Abby Jimenez, and #NetGalley for such a fun read!

This book was FANTASTIC! It is absolutely my favorite from Jimenez so far. I loved both of the main characters and couldn't get enough of the two of them together. All of the side characters in Wakan were so incredibly lovable and I just wanted to live in their magical, sweet town. I found myself torn between wanting to binge and read the book in one sitting, and wanting to read it slowly and savor it so it would never end. There was so much love as well as bigger more difficult messages addressed in this book, which made it so powerful. I pre-ordered the physical copy, and can't wait to re-read it. I am very much looking forward to reading Bri's story next!

Part of Your World by Abby Jimenez is a heartfelt story of Alexis Montgomery, ER doctor from a high flying medical family with a 125 year legacy who meets Daniel Grant, a small town carpenter/inn-keeper/mayor like it's an act of fate. Their relationship starts off as a hook up, on the surface it's so hard to find a common ground. Not only are they from different worlds, Daniel also happens to be a decade younger than Alexis. Alexis has a whole lot of baggage with parental abandonment, an emotionally abusive ex and her own complicated view of society and its expectations. Even though they starts off as a fling, Alexis and Daniel are so drawn to each other and they form such a sweet and deep bond.

Daniel is such a sweetheart one of the best male protaigonists written in recent times. It's great to see such supportive c characters written. It was heartbreaking to see Alexis struggles and the pain she goes through. Even though Alexis is super complicated, she is so likable and you connect with both Alexis and Daniel instantly. I love the evolution of their relationship, it feels so organic and real. This book is such a compelling read I was constantly thinking of the characters even when I was not reading the book. This book is an absolutely gem, don't miss out!

Part Of Your Wold was the first Abby Jimenez book I read. I loved it so much that I immediately ordered all the books in The Friend Zone series.

CW: psychological abuse, physical abuse, parental abandonment, classism
Tropes: cinnamon roll hero, age-gap, opposites attract, different world, small town, STEM romance, vacation romance

Thank you to Forever Pub and NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for my honest opinion. Part of Your World will be released on April 19th, 2022.

Thank you NetGalley for an advanced reader copy.
I really enjoyed this story. Part of Your World continued in the same universe as Abby Jimenez’s other 3 books, but this book differed to include some magical elements. Some of the magical elements weren’t always obvious to me, but overall there is a Disneyesque quality to the story. Two very old established families with a prince and princess, much like Romeo and Juliet. The prince/hero is Daniel, a late 20s gifted carpenter who rescues and falls for slightly older woman Alexis, our princess/heroine. From there you have what could be a classic repetitive love story. But this is an Abby Jimenez book and you know it isn’t going to be basic.
The banter as the couple slowly fall in love is for me the highlight of this book for me. In part of your world, Abby Jimenez wove a really cute story about two opposites and make their love story believable. The side characters, both human and animal, felt three dimensional and not just used to move the plot forward. Finally, she balanced elements of both physical and emotional abuse in a way it was powerful and not overpowering, which justified parts of the conflict. These aspects were well incorporated into the story.
Overall, I really enjoyed Part of Your World and look forward to trying to find all the hidden cameos and inside jokes, that I might have missed the first time through.

This is the first book I have read by Abby Jimenez, and I just loved it!
Alexis Montgomery is on her way home when her car winds up in a ditch. Daniel Grant kindly stops and pulls her out and you might think that after a thank you, that would be the end of this part of the story. Alexis is thirty-seven, a doctor, and comes from a very prominent family. Daniel is the mayor of a ridiculously small town and twenty-eight. Does the age difference get in the way of their chemistry and a one-night stand? Nope, but Alexis sneaks out under the cover of darkness never planning to return.
Life has other plans though, and the stress brought on by her ex-boyfriend and her parents' expectations have her running back for some no commitment, phenomenal sex. But a funny thing happens, well actually more than one, and these two people from vastly different worlds share an attraction that they cannot just walk away from.
I am not going to say anymore because I do not want to spoil the journey. All right, just one thing, and that would be Daniel's baby goat! I just love him and Daniel of course too. Their relationship will be sorely tested, but hopefully, love does indeed conquer all. I laughed and I was holding my breath at how many issues these two faced. Such a wonderful story with mostly lovable characters (do not get me started on the ex or the parents). A book that made me feel good and isn't that what reading is all about? 4.5 stars.

I really enjoyed this one! The author had me laughing out loud a couple times. I enjoyed the romance,
touch of magical realism, setting, and pace of the book. I will recommend to all my fellow rom-com fans.

This book pulls you in and you never want to be let go! A few times I was caught saying: "No! Don't do it. Don't do it. Don't do it." out loud. You know it's a good book when you lose track of the fact that you live in the real world and not the book plot. This book pulled out real emotion. I laughed, I cried, and I commiserated. I'm so glad I was lucky enough to read an advanced copy. It was a no-brainer to order an advanced copy even though I read it already.

I adored this book! Thank you @netgalley and @readforeverpub for the advance copy. This one brought the same humor as her friend zone series but had a slightly different vibe with an older cast of characters (and by “older” I mean mid-to-late 30s 😜). ⁣

I highly recommend for readers looking for something like The Friend Zone meets Evvie Drake Starts Over.

CW: emotional abuse, domestic violence

This book was everything happy and lovely in the world. It's a story about Alexis who, after getting stuck in a ditch, gets rescued by handsome Daniel. They both come from completely different worlds - Daniel is a dream come true - he cooks, he works with his hands and is incredibly kind - and he's also the mayor of a small town in MN.. whereas Alexis is a member of a prestigious family of doctors who have been associated with one of the worlds best hospitals. Alexis and Daniel have the sweetest story and I was rooting for them the entire time. This book made me laugh so much especially the pics scene (you'll know it) and it also broke my heart. Definitely a great book when you need a happily ever after.

Make no mistake I'm an Abby Jimenez fan. When I saw her post on her Instagram stories that one of her books was available for request on NetGalley I couldn't move fast enough to put in my request for this book. I
crossed my fingers hoping I would be one of the lucky ones to get an ARC and it was the fastest book request ever granted and I had my plans for the weekend! Only, it did not take me a full weekend to read this book....I know we all say we can't put a certain book down...but this was just another one that I could not put down and I've really come to expect this from her books. I loved Daniel and Alexis, total opposites attract and it totally worked! I'm not one for spoilers but you have a hot carpenter with a well to do doctor and it's a recipe for perfection!

This book was absolutely beautiful and heartbreaking wrapped up together. I thought Abby did a really nice job addressing domestic abuse. (Although I would have loved a little more of Liz's story. I felt really connected to her when Alexis was helping her, but then the wrap up felt a little rushed.)
I adored the "full circle" moment as Alexis realized how her parents relationship and how they treated her impacted how she viewed herself as a grown adult and her relationship with Daniel.
I have always been told twins have a VERY strong connection. I was super bummed Alexis didn't spend more time talking to her brother. It did seem a little off to me that they weren't in contact much. I realize he was ostracized from the family, but she could have had calls with him. I did love that he came back into the story at the end at Alexis found a way to include him.
This book felt different than Abby's other books to me. It wasn't as much of a lover romance story, as it was a self love story. Even though it was the main storyline, Alexis and Daniel's love felt second fiddle to me as we watched Alexis move through her trauma and grow and learn to love herself.
As usual I absolutely adored all the animals in the books. Thanks for always including them Abby! <3

I really enjoyed this book and the real-world topics that were discussed.

Alexis Montgomery is an ER doctor from an ultra-wealthy family with a legacy of world-renowned surgeons. Alexis is getting out of an abusive relationship when she meets Daniel Grant, carpenter/Mayer of his small town, and he's ten years younger than her. Their first meeting is straight from a Nora Ephron meet-cute rom-com. Age quickly becomes a minor factor in their list of hurdles. Daniel comes from a blue-colored background, while Alexis comes from a "sophisticated city-girl" work. Their chemistry is intense, and their story is just perfect.

Abby is one of my favorite authors because she picks real-life scenarios that everyday people experience and gives these complex scenarios a happy ending.

I took my time reading this because of the topic of abuse, but I also wanted to savor this story. I have unfortunately experienced all kinds of abuse in relationships, and I really think Abby did this topic justice. She spoke about several types of abuse an individual can experience in a romantic relationship and outside of one.

With the two main characters, I was uncomfortable with the age gap between them at first. But, it quickly turned into it not being an issue because of the chemistry they both had. This book has made me more open-minded to talking to guys younger then me.

Overall this was an amazing read, and I really love that Abby writes about these topics and gives them a happy ending. That's what makes her so unique in the romance world.

Jimenez has, yet again, woven an amazing romance with strong, clever characters and a storyline that will tug at anyone's heartstrings. I laughed just as much as I cried. . While the city girl/country boy trope is a cliche on the surface, Jimenez took it and made it unique. Additionally, it would have been easy to write a novel where it felt that Alexis and Daniel were staying apart simply for the will-they-won't-day suspense that makes romance novels so interesting. Jimenez, however, created characters that felt real--their lives truly didn't fit together, no matter how much Alexis and Daniel loved each other. It isn't easy to take beloved romance tropes and still make them interesting to read--but Jimenez has done just that.
