First, I want to say thank you to Forever Publishing and NetGalley for letting me receive this BEAUTIFUL BOOK in exchange for an honest review!
At this point-- anything Ms. Abby Jimenez writes, I want it immediately in my hands when it is published. I have absolutely no idea how she is able to consistently write such heavy subjects in such a respectful manner, but I am forever grateful. As always Abby Jimenez writes characters you are so emotionally invested in from the jump. I cried I laughed I blushed, and I am SICK that I won't be able to annotate my physical copy until next April but c'est la vie.
All I'mma say is that Abby Jimenez is clearly competing with herself, and she finds new ways to beat herself with every book.
TW: 18+ domestic violence
imenez, sitting there writing tales that both make my life feel whole and yet also completely destroy it. She writes such loveable characters and tales and so far I have not been disappointed.
I love it when romances mention the guy pining for a girl instead of the girl pining for the guy. Growing up I 100% thought only girls had crushes and fell head over heels. Then I read StarGirl with my 8th grade teacher and I brought this belief up in a bookclub discussion. It was then that I learned I was apparently oh so wrong. My teacher told me about his love story and that men fall in love too. He had told me he hopes I find someone that loves me as much as I love them and I guess that’s what I’ve been looking for in my relationships ever since.
Finally, I loved the cameo Nadia Cakes makes in this book! … and of course Lola Simone.
Thank you NetGalley and Abby Jimenez for this ARC in exchange for an honest opinion. If you haven’t already, I highly recommend pre-ordering this one!
can abby jimenez do anything wrong? i dont think so and this book was no exception!!!! absolute stunner
Part of your World is just as good as its predecessors, if not even better because we get to experience a little magical realism! Daniel is on my list as another perfect literary cinnamon roll who must be protected at all costs.
I enjoyed the medical background that Alexis has, and that may be due to the fact that I work in healthcare. It felt pretty authentic and Alexis's family background added an extra element to the story that I'm sure more people could relate to than you might think.
This book has me Google searching what medicine you could take for syphilis if you're allergic to penicillin and what a hyoid bone is and what makes it free floating. You gotta love a book that not only entertains, but educates!
My minor complaint is how many times we are told by Alexis' POV that "Daniel is not like Neil." I just wanted to shout "Girl, we know!!!" Daniel has demi-God like qualities and Neil is a manipulative, abusive asshat. I'm not sure I needed to see the reminder again at 50% in.
Minor complaint aside, another wonderful book by Abby Jimenez and one that I will be still be purchasing to add to my collection! Jimenez is an auto-buy author for me, I will read anything that woman decides to put into my hands. I was SUPER excited at the end to see who the next book focuses on :)
She's an overachiever, and her family is overbearing with unrealistically high expectations for how she should live her life. What, then, is an ER doctor supposed to do when she starts to fall in love with a man who is ten years younger than her, and "just" a carpenter -- not someone her family would be proud of. Will she live by her own values? A tender, lighthearted love story that I look forward to recommending!
Abby Jimenez does 👏 it 👏 again 👏! Filled with heart and laughter while also dealing with tough topics with a tender touch. This book is a delightful read and I am excited to pass on to my romance loving friends!
I've read the first three books of Jimenez's and was interested to see that this one does not look like it's being marketed as a "Friend Zone" book like the others have. I'm honestly pretty surprised, because after reading this, I feel like it certainly belongs in that series, as there are many references to characters from the first three books (which is always fun to spot the Easter eggs!)
To be honest, I go into Jimenez's books a little wary, as I found the first couple to be a little...maybe not problematic per say, but I felt like some of the plot points were shallow and just there for the shock factor and then brushed aside. Despite this, I really enjoyed Part of Your World! I found that it dealt with some difficult real-life topics, while also maintaining that fuzzy warm feeling you look for in romances. Jimenez has certainly done this with her previous books, but I think Life's Too Short and now Part of Your World were the only ones to really do it well.
The final thing I would like to add is that it seems like the author really just loves to make having children a huge priority for all her characters. I don't think that's a bad thing necessarily, especially if that's a huge part of her life, but I do think after four books, there could be one woman who does not desperately want children.
Another great book from this author! Part of Your World is definitely the most heartfelt book yet and while Jimenez's past books have relied heavily on witty banter and rom-com style plots, this attempts to dig deeper. I'll admit, I was fully prepared for your run-of-the-mill romance with tired tropes and predictable endings, but a little over halfway through it took a turn and ended very, very strong.
After the insanely adorable meet cute that included a baby goat in pajamas, the book frustrated me for a bit because she was 37 to his 28 and she was beside herself about it. She left him hanging a few times to wonder if he was the only one who wanted this relationship.
Lady, he has a baby goat in pajamas. Ride that train until his wheels fall off!
But seriously, this book handled some bigger issues like emotional abuse by both a parent and partner and big time gaslighting.
I’m excited to see where Bri’s book is going because I loved her but I imagine it’s going straight to that new police officer that was mentioned toward the end.

Thank you to Netgalley and Forever Grand Central Publishing for an ARC. My opinions are my own.
Another unstoppable read from Abby. Such an amazing love story of Alexis and Daniel, you hope beyond hope they end up together, but you never see the actual end coming.
Thank you to Forever for my review copy. All opinions are my own.
Abby.....I adore you. Periodt. Nope that is not a typo...that is an actual sentiment. I mean. I want to move to Minnesota and be best friends while petting Stuntman and Tess and eating cupcakes. Too stalkerish? Hmmm, sorry. Let me explain.
I don't know Abby Jimenez. However, I feel like I know Abby through the books she writes. Her charm and humor shine through every single title. I'm so glad I fell in love with The Friend Zone. She will continue to be an auto buy author for me.
Let's talk about Part of Your World....
"It's amazing how someone can touch you, even if you only know them for a moment in time. How they can change you, alter you indelibly."
Y'all, I have to start with a baby goat. THIS IS NOT A TEST....there is a baby goat in this story and I can't get over it. Is my husband mad that I want a baby goat now...maybe a little. Do we care? Nope, not at all. In all seriousness. These characters were unbelievably well written. They jumped off the page and landed squarely in my heart. I LOVED them all. The small town setting with all the quirky characters was chef's kiss perfect. The chemistry between Alexis and Daniel is off the charts. For me this was considered a slow burn romance. I was able to settle in to their relationship. I just can't speak highly enough. I really can't.
When I tell you to run to put this on your TBR, Library holds, pre-order....however you roll. I mean....RUN. You will not regret this story.
Now, asking for a friend...where do you buy baby goat pajamas?
Part of Your World is Abby Jimenez back to her best. I wasn’t a big fan of Life’s Too Short, so I was concerned about this one, but I was blown away. Happy Ever After Playlist is my favorite romance of all time, and Part of Your World just made it into my top five romances of all time!
Despite knowing how the book was going to end within the first 10% of the novel, I really enjoyed the ride and enjoyed growing to know and love these characters. I laughed out loud a few times, and other chapters had me tearing up. Something Abby Jimenez’s romances always have are some sort of serious topic to examine that doesn’t usually see the light of day in “light-hearted” contemporary romance reads. The topic in this novel revolves around domestic abuse, both physical and emotional. It also discusses building awareness of narcissistic family patterns. I really loved this deeper piece of the plot, and I found it so important to address, especially within the romance genre. Amazing book! Super heartwarming and binge-able without being too cliche or repetitive.
The Friend Zone used to be my favorite Abby book, but I think this one now sits at #1!!! I LOVED this book so much!
Reasons why you should read this:
1. Daniel is amazing
2. Dual POV
3. There is a goat in pajamas!!
4. Small town where you fall in love with all everybody
5. A hilarious scene involving a ring light
6. Taylor Swift is mentioned!!
This book was perfect. I cannot wait for everyone to read this book. Many thanks to Netgalley and Forever for letting me read this early in exchange for a honest review!!
Huge thanks to @readforeverpub and @netgalley for the digital ARC for this book. I have loved every book by Abby Jimenez thus far so when I got notified that I got the ARC I squealed in excitement!
In this story, doctor and privileged heroine, Alexis Montgomery finds herself in the small town of Wakan where Daniel Grant is the town mayor, B&B owner and dad of a baby goat that wears pjs. One night shows that despite their differences they have some electrifying chemistry ! In this reverse age-gap, Alexis isn’t sure that her and Daniel can mix their two very different worlds but ✨something✨ keeps bringing her back to the small town!
I truly loved this story. Abby always makes her heroes so swoony and the sweetest cinnamon rolls! Daniel could sneeze and I’d be all 😍😍😍 The age gap was done well and I loved how she started to adapt to his way of living. I totally felt their connection and never felt bored with this read. I’m excited for Bri’s book but let’s be honest, the story leaves you wanting more of Liz’s story 😭😭
If you are a fan of Abby’s writing, know that this one fits right in with her others!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫
🔥🔥
Smitten scene: the tearful phone call broke my heart.
Wowowow this book is so good! I mean who doesn’t want to fall in love with a lumberjack-esque small town mayor?
The writing in the book was beautiful, Abby absolutely crushed it. She did a phenomenal job of building out these characters and developing them - so much so I felt like I knew them. It dives into the traumas of emotional abuse in a relationship and how expectations can be detrimental.
The small town, carpenter meets the prominent ER Physician. A romance for the ages….
All I know is I’m thankful for raccoons ;)
Wow, this was such a wonderful read! Honestly one of the best contemporary romances of 2021. I can't say enough great things and it doesn't even have my favourite tropes - that's how magical Abby Jimenez is.
Part of Your World is like the Disney fairytale that you've always wanted set in modern times and it's brilliant. Alexis and Daniel are perfect for each other despite their age gap and I absolutely adored their relationship. Her character development is realistic and touching; his personality is generous and genuine. There's banter, there's comedy, there's heavy topics, and Abby Jimenez weaves everything together with just enough magic to make you go "wow".
I can't wait to return to Wakan and read all about Bri's story!
Thank you to Netgalley and Read Forever Pub for this advanced copy in exchange for my honest review.
Enchanting. If I had to describe this book in one word, that would be it. There is a fairytale element to the town of Wakan, where part of the book takes place. And Jimenez manages to make this feel magical, not cheesy. Per usual, Jimenez fills this book with flirty banter, unforgettable characters, laugh out loud one-liners (I will never look at a Spirit Halloween the same way again), and heavier topics masterfully woven in with all the fun. TW for physical and emotional abuse.
I couldn't put this one down!
Abby Jimenez is a goddess. She has delivered another fantastic romance read! I went in with high hopes for Part of Your World because (like everyone else) I LOVED the last three books in this series. Every book has been better than the last.
This one has:
-Crazy, cute animals 🐐🐕 (Daniel's dog is my favorite)
-A hot, small-town man who can build things and cook 🔥
-A 37 year-old female snagging a 28 year-old man (heck yes) ❤
-A focus on domestic abuse (that was very well researched) ☑
-Fun supporting characters 🤸♀️
-A little bit of magic! ⚡
-An Ever After reference (such an underrated movie!) 👑
Apparently my favorite storyline is "fancy city girl falls in love with rustic country boy," because all of my favorites fit that bill. I can promise you that if you loved Abby's other work, you will devour this one and fall in love. I needed a good cry and by the end of the book I was definitely in tears. I loved how it ended and I adored all of the characters, especially Alexis's best friend, Bri. And lucky us, she is the star of Book #4 that comes out in 2023!
Thanks to Netgalley and @readforeverpub for the arc. Part of Your World comes out April 19th and I highly recommend!
This book has easily become my new favorite contemporary romance! I don’t know what drew me in first: an attractive bearded man coming to the rescue then offering to make a basil and tomato grilled cheese, or the baby goat. All jokes aside, I found myself immersed in the magic that was the town of Wakan, and fell absolutely in love with Daniel and Alexis’s story. I laughed (especially when Doug brought over a ring light to Daniel for “special” pictures), I cried, and oh man was I giddy over some of the most romantically sweet moments. This book has left it’s mark on me by showing me that “grace costs you nothing,” and my heart will forever be in Wakan.
Abby Jimenez does it again with this book! Alexis thought she had the life that she’d always wanted but when her circumstances change she starts to wonder if she was happy with the life that had been chosen for her. When she finds herself stranded in the tiny town of Wakan with Daniel as her rescuer, she quickly learns the true meaning of a full, happy life. While she faces interesting challenges that she never anticipated she continues to grow closer and closer to Daniel and the new life she’s created for herself.
This book features boat loads of humor, excellent sides characters (including some that you just love to hate), and some hard conversations around relationship abuse and the many forms that it can show up in.
