Abby Jimenez did an amazing job again with her new book, Part of Your World. The amount of humor and emotion she puts into her books is absolutely perfect. I really love that in every book that Abby write she touches on a hard to talk about subject that, we as people, go through or have gone through. She makes her characters and stories so relatable that you really feel the emotions pouring out of her. POYW is no different than her previous books. This books talks about domestic violence, both emotional and physical. As a victim of past emotional abuse in a previous marriage, I can say without a doubt that she nailed it. Alexis and Daniels’s story will make you laugh and cry. From the moment they meet, you will be rooting for them until the very end. I loved this story and cannot wait to read it again. Thank you Abby, for writing this story and opening more eyes to effects and damage of domestic violence.

Abby Jimenez has done it again with this book. Part of Your World is brilliant, funny, endearing, and so much more! This book has only cemented Abby as one of my all time favorite authors. My heart was along for the ride as Alexis and Daniel met and became part of each other’s worlds. I cannot say enough about how good this book made me feel. Do not hesitate to pick this book up as soon as you can. And if you haven’t read The Friend Zone, The Happy Ever After Playlist or Life’s Too Short pick those up as well. Long time Abby readers will definitely appreciate the nods to her other titles and Minnesota. This book easily gets 5 stars from me.

Alexis is from a wealthy family with a legacy of world-renowned surgeons. Abby is happy with being an ER Doctor. One night on her way home, in a small town, her car veers off into a ditch. The man who pulls her car out is Daniel Grant. He's a super hot construction worker and is 10 years younger than her. He's casual, charming, and they have immediate chemistry.

Alexis is a city girl, with a busy life, and Daniel is quite the opposite, but what they have is unbelievable and amazing. Daniel just doesn't seem to fit into her world though. Their lives are very different. Can she find a way to to be with this man?

This book was so good! I laughed and totally loved these characters. The story was so fun. There's a pajama wearing baby goat, a dog, a pig, and shenanigans. This is definitely one my romcom lovers will want to add to your list.

Thank you to the publisher and netgalley for the gifted copy in exchange for an honest review! All opinions are my own!

I was lucky enough to read an advanced copy of Abby Jimenez's latest book, Part of Your World. Within 24 hours, I devoured it! The best book I have read all year and one I know I will want to read again and again.
All the characters have so much heart and interest. Even though the story was about Daniel and Alexis, I loved learning about Liz, Brian, Doug, Bri and well, all of them. The town of Wakan was so magical which was another special element of the book. Getting back to the heart of the book, Daniel and Alexis. Wow! Dare I say my favorite couple in all of Abby's books?!? Definition of soulmates here. If I had one flaw it would be that I wanted more! I could have read another whole book about the lead up to the wedding, their honeymoon and their next chapter of being parents. I would also love to see this book on the big screen - please make this happen!
Thank you for the opportunity to review Part of Your World! Truly an amazing read!

Oh me oh my…. Abby Jimenez does it again! A mix of romcom, drama and farm animals brings together this remarkable FUN story! At times, it’s a bit “When Harry Met Sally” and it works beautifully! As per Abby’s typical brilliance, the book isn’t all fun - there are many difficult topics included in the story. However, they are brilliantly written and blended into the over arching storyline that even though they are tough topics they are treated with tender loving care that adds to the story before her typical wit comes back in another scene. I love all the hometown MN references, and Hunter - who couldn’t love Hunter! It’s simply brilliant. A huge thanks to Abby and NetGalley for the early read. I know I’ll be reading it again!

Thank you Netgalley and Forever Publishing for the ARC in exchange for an honest review!

I always love Abby Jimenez books and this one was no exception. However, there were a few things that bugged me so I can't give it a full 5 stars.

Things I liked:
-Loved the chemistry between the main characters. I was rooting for them from the very beginning.
-The focus on different aspects of abuse that are not typically talked about. Specifically enjoyed the exploration of emotional abuse and the impact its hard on the main character's life.
-Great side characters and fun, silly plot lines (looking at you goat in pajamas)

Things I didn't like:
-Her family and "friends" drove me absolutely insane throughout the whole book. And look, I get that that is quite literally the point of the story, but I was infuriated by how the MC just sat there and took it all. Again, I realize this is the point of the story, but it felt like too much to me. It seems unreasonable to believe Alexis would not realize these other people in her life were being emotionally abusive to her given how blatantly obvious that abuse was.
-I would have liked to see the domestic violence storyline explored more with Daniel. I wanted the scenes of him being the complete opposite from the abusive situation she left. I wanted to see him reassure her that she was enough. We got a little of that told from his internal perspective, but I wanted to see them work through it together.
-Insta-love pacing at the beginning of the story. I hate insta-love stories and so I was really thrown off by how the book started off. It threw the pacing off for me and made the story drag a bit.

Overall thoughts:
Another great Abby Jimenez book. I will always recommend this author. If you've never read an Abby Jimenez book before though, be warned, this is not a cute, fluffy romance read. This story explores heavy topics that are difficult to read and make you want to throw the book across the room at times. But its an important story to share and I really loved reading about Alexis and Daniel's love story.

Loved this! I cannot tell you the ‘laughing to crying’ ratio in this book because there was so much of both. This book just makes you FEEL, and I did not want to put it down.

Alexis is newly single after dumping her cheating, gas lighting boyfriend, and is pulled from a ditch by a hot young dude, Daniel. She eventually gives into her feelings for Daniel and spends more and more time in his magical town, hours away from her real life.

Alexis and Daniel couldn’t be from oppositer (that’s not a word, btw) sides of the track. But they just fit. Alexis has finally found a place and a person with whom she can thrive. Her intelligence and competencies shine and she soaks up love and new experiences like a sponge.

Alexis is shouldering the expectations of so many people that she is made smaller in her “real world.” There is so much emotional growth for her in this story as she realizes the difference in existing for other people and living for yourself.

This book deals with some tough subjects and handles the situation honestly. There was one situation where Alexis looks at a woman and just says “I believe you.” And it’s so powerful.

This is a wonderful book and fans of Abby Jimenez will not be disappointed. I loved it!

I am so in love with anything Abby Jimenez writes. I was STOKED to get approval for an early ARC. Each time I finish one of her books, I immediately feel empty because the story is over. I made myself stretch this one out over a week and it was almost torture. I hated to put it down. She has such a way of writing and I always feel wrapped up in the middle of her stories. Like I’m apart of the story too. I loved the story of Alexis and Daniel. It was such a beautiful, heartbreakingly beautiful story. Hilarious dialogue, serious issues brought to light and always wrapped up in a loving and beautiful ending. Cannot wait for Bri’s story!

Another great Abby Jimenez rom-com! Like her previous books, this one was chock full of laugh out loud conversations that made you wish you had friends like these characters to make you spit out your morning coffee with laughter. However this book also had a darker side, with a subplot featuring domestic abuse. All in all, a great read.

Abby Jimenez is the type of writer that anyone feels they could easily befriend, and this new book, Part of Your World, did not disappoint! Her characters have depth, opinions and life, and you can imagine these scenarios happening in your own life. This story of a big wig doctor meets small town mayor/B&B manager hits you right in the feels. It’s the sort of book I will read again and again.

I love when a book can make me laugh out loud and this one did not disappoint! I love crying over a book because of how emotional the story becomes. I love how relatable all of Abby's characters are. I love getting to feel all the feelings while reading. I just love this book so much. I say it every year, but I CANNOT wait for the next one!

Part of Your World was a story that brought ALL the feels! From the moment you meet Alexis and Daniel, you are emotionally invested. The author, Abby Jimenez, brings you right into the lives of these two incredible characters, and her storytelling from each of their perspectives give so much insight into each of their personalities. This is more than a classic "boy meets girl" novel. It digs deep into the challenges of social inequity in a relationship, and makes you want to root for Daniel even more. This book is a roller coaster of emotion, so buckle up and hang on because it's a wild ride that you won't want to end!

I absolutely love the way Abby connects all of her books together. I live for the little easter eggs. She writes each book where it can be read as a stand alone but if you've read her other books you can make the connections between all of them which really adds a special something to her story telling.

Her books are a perfect combination of relatable and far-fetched. Like, I know I'm never going to be in a magical universe where my enemies get pelted with acorns but I can totally relate to losing interest in people once you see who they truly are.

Abby has a way of pulling you in with how relatable her characters are through their feelings. She delves into real life problems in a way that makes you feel what they're feeling and completely wrecks you with the description of their emotions. She makes it easy for you to put yourself in their shoes and leaves you wanting for more.

I love the star-crossed lovers vibe of this book. Alexis and Daniel are from two different worlds and yet they still fall for each other despite all the odds against them. This book really brings home that for some of us, most of the decisions we make are based off of ideas of what we are supposed to do and who we are supposed to be and not based off of what we truly want. It sheds light on how easy it is to really just pick the path you want instead of giving into all the pressure of being who everyone else wants and expects you to be.

I love a good HEA and she truly delivers them each time. After reading all of her books I know now that her next book is typically a deeper dive into one of the supporting character's lives. I can't wait to read Bri's story and can't believe I have to wait until 2023. 😱

Romeo & Juliet Get a Happy Ending

This book is AMAZING. I smiled and laughed and squeed my way through the entire thing. I may have even cried once or twice. I have nothing to nitpick about it. Absolutely nothing. The premise was unique and the plot was compelling. The characters were outstanding from top to bottom. The dialogue is some of the best I’ve read. The pacing was perfection. And it totally puts the “com” in “rom-com”. It was SO funny I was dying.

I’m in awe of how Abby Jimenez makes writing characters with such depth and humanity look so effortless. So much of the book is normal romcom romance and angst and relationship drama but she elevates the whole genre when she works in topics like privilege, status, grace, kindness, and integrity. That’s part of what makes this book special.

This is a dual perspective story which is usually not my preference but I actually really loved getting to access both Alexis and Daniel’s experiences. Individually, they’re both lovely and interesting people. I love that Alexis is an ER doctor. That job alone tells us she’s smart, compassionate, and hard working. That she chose one of the most challenging, least glamorous specialties in medicine tells us a lot about her character. And Daniel is a genuinely good dude. Full stop cinnamon roll perfection right here. He’s a man who’s not afraid to tell a woman how he feels or let others see it. He loves animals, cares for his friends, and treats others with respect. Not a whiff of toxic masculine bullshit. Top notch book boyfriend material. There’s no way you can not root for these two.

I loved this book right from the beginning but it just kept getting better and better and better. There’s so much about it that’s wonderful. It’s the first by Abby Jimenez that I’ve read but it will not be the last. I’m so impressed with her writing, I will definitely be delving into her back catalog ASAP and preordering this one for my bookshelf. (This is already a contender for my Best Of 2022 list.) And I am so looking forward to reading Bri’s story!! I would like to formally request another about how Alexis’ brother Derek got together with his wife Lola. Take my money now please.

Small town guy, Daniel, meets big city girl, Alexis. Their worlds couldn't be more different. Alexis is destined to follow her family's legacy. Daniel is destined to follow his family's legacy. So, what happens when their worlds collide and they fall in love? Do they get their HEA?
I recently discovered Abby Jimenez's "The Friend Zone" series, and she is quickly becoming one of my favorites! When I saw that she had a new book coming, I jumped at the opportunity to read and review it early. I knew I would love the book after just a few chapters. While, this is not a part of The Friend Zone series, they are intertwined - which I love in books! I always finish books wanting more of the characters. Oh, and did I mention there's a goat? Pre-order today! It does not disappoint!

“Grace costs you nothing.”

Abby Jimenez quickly became one of my absolute favorite romance authors with the Friend Zone and she just continues to cement her place in my heart with each book she writes! Needless to say when I received the shockingly quick approval, everything else on my TBR shifted.

I didn’t even need to read the whole synopsis, you had me at baby goat! Part of Your World was abso-freakin-lutely amazing. Abby is a master of her craft! She writes real life romance novels that pull you in and make you feel every possibly emotion down into your toes! I laughed, I cried, I wanted a grilled cheese sandwich! I loved everything about this book. The honest and heartfelt, story is the perfect mix of romance, comedy and real life struggles. Alexis, Daniel, and every single side characters are all written to be so real and relatable you have no choice but to fall in love with them. I am a sucker for animal characters, and the ones in this book absolutely melted my heart! I can’t wait for everyone to experience this amazing book!

*CW: Domestic abuse*

As someone who'd give a limb to read a new Abby Jimenez, it was such a treat to get to read this book early. And I LOVED it. Alexis and Daniel are GOALS, there's an adorable dog, and the story has a really nice arc. I really appreciated the complexity of the story, and how Jimenez resolved it. She balances the light and the dark with a skill very few authors can. And she does it oh so well.

This book will satisfy long-time Jimenez fans like me, and is also a great entry point into her books for new readers: you don't have to have read her past books to read this one.

Fans of Tessa Bailey's Bellinger Sisters series (IT HAPPENED ONE SUMMER and HOOK, LINE, AND SINKER) should flock to this book.

I was THRILLED to have a chance to read this ARC ahead of time, thank you NetGalley!

Abby Jimenez is one of my favorite authors. She has a knack for tackling heavy, difficult subjects, but creating a story around it that features so much humor and heart. As expected, this book is no different. I will say one of my favorite things about Abby's books is how they're all connected in their own little world, with random characters popping up here and there. Without giving too much away, there is a cameo featuring a character from a past novel and that was such a fun little added bonus. I loved it!

Now onto the romance itself. I did see one reviewer mention that they felt they were kind of just dropped into the story without any real lead up to get to know the characters, and I do agree. Speaking as a huge fan of Abby Jimenez's other works- The Friend Zone, Happy Ever After Playlist, Life's Too Short- in all three of those books, I thought the initial lead up to the main characters getting together was done so well. In this particular book, at first, it was hard to understand why the character leads, Daniel and Alexis, grew so fond of each other so quickly. (There definitely seemed to be more telling than showing in the very beginning.) But as the book went on, I did grow attached to them. It was easy to see why Alexis loved spending so much time with Daniel.... because he was a frickin' delight, and her friends and family were SO HORRIBLE! My goodness, this poor girl. With the exception of her friend and co-worker Bri, Alexis certainly has some shady, questionable characters within her inner circle. Between Neil, Gabby, Jessica, HER PARENTS, ugh- I wanted to slap them all! But, I did love all of the scenes in the magical town of Wakan and Alexis' character growth throughout the novel, and Daniel was just so sweet. While it's maybe not my favorite book by this author (it was a little rocky for me to get into at first), I very much look forward to Bri's upcoming story and can't wait to read it. Abby Jimenez has such a gift for creating lovable, heartwarming stories that tend to stick with you for a long time.

I think I am destined to love everything that Abby Jiminez writes. I adore how she writes her characters and gives them depth and complications. There is something so real and honest about her romances. Plus, the chemistry is always off the charts! Dare I say Daniel is my new favourite love interest? I finally found the perfect book to recommend for fans of Gilmore Girls and/or Hart of Dixie!

A super funny, warm-fuzzy feelings book about two people who are in very different places but are ultimately the change they both need in their lives. The author isn’t afraid to tackle weighty issues in this book but balances them with a delicious romance featuring relatable characters.
