I was provided a digital ARC for an honest review. THIS BOOK. Abby Jimenez never seems to disappoint me. I honestly went into this book with medium expectations, as I was not expecting it to top The Friend Zone series (specifically The Happy Ever After Playlist). I was wrong. The book is focused on two MCs, Daniel and Alexis. We follow their story through a dual POV writing style, which I absolutely loved. When I tell you I had the full array of emotions with this one, I mean it. You will laugh and cry throughout this book. Abby Jimenez's writing style keeps the storying flowing, while also drawing in on the characters development and inner monologue. I honestly cannot decide if I love Alexis and Daniel more, or if Sloan and Jason from The Happy Ever After Playlist still have my heart. Upon finishing this ARC, I have since pre-ordered a physical copy of this book. Abby also put a small tribute to Alexis's best friend Bri at the end of the book. It seems Bri will also be getting her own book in 2023! It looks like Abby Jimenez is going to continue a similar structure to The Friend Zone series and I cannot WAIT for it.

Once I find an author I like, I seek out all books that they write. Abby Jimenez does not disappoint with “Part of Your World”! Characters that are fully formed-check. Interesting storyline that propels you to keep reading-check. Details and unique situations; never formulaic-check. Since I don’t want to give away any spoilers, I’ll just say that if you have enjoyed other books by Abby, you won’t be disappointed. And if you haven’t, what are you waiting for?

A huge THANK YOU to Forever Publishing and NetGalley for this advanced copy in exchange for my honest review.

A beautiful story of two individuals who fall in love despite their different social status and societal pressures. A beautiful reminder to listen to your heart and put yourself first. Alexis is a doctor living in a big city expected to continue her family’s legacy. Daniel is a humble, and hard working young man from a small town who is always there when needed. Fate brings them together when she is run off the road by a raccoon!
I was in awe with everyone in the town of Wakan, and the way they looked after each other will make you want to live there. I am always impressed by how Abby Jimenez manages to bring attention to difficult topics (Part of Your World touches subjects of abuse, emotional and physical) and still keep the stories lighthearted. Abby writes about these characters in a way that makes you feel like you know them. My heart broke reading some of the obstacles and struggles the character had to go through, but my heart felt full every time something wonderful happened to them as well. This is probably my new favorite book by Abby Jimenez, and I REALLY loves the Happy Ever After Playlist. I cannot recommend this book enough, preorder your copy and you won’t be disappointed!

Raise your hand if you read this book in less than 24 hours! Who read it twice in 48? Part of Your World is an emotional roller coaster of love, fear, sadness, joy, and sex. What more could you ask for?

Basic plot: Alexis Montgomery, ER doctor from Minneapolis meets small town Mayor Daniel Grant completely by accident. On a bet, they leave on a “date” and start an unknown relationship that incorporates two worlds colliding. The storyline includes: determining whom is a true friend, small town living, emotional and physical abuse, finding oneself, loving “out of class”, upper class stereotypes, and a baby goat in pajamas.

What I enjoyed the most: the way Abby Jimenez engages the reader. I did NOT want to put the book down for a moment, not even to feed my family dinner! From the moment I was approved to preread Part if Your World, I could hardly find a point to pause and pay attention to real life. The characters came to life in my mind and I wanted to be friends with all of Alexis and Daniel’s friends.

What was uncomfortable: when emotional and physical abuse was described, it was in depth. While it was gut-wrenching to read about, it was well written and described in a way that would have readers understanding what the character was going through. **Could be a trigger for someone who has been through this experience**

Thank you to NetGalley, Abby and Estelle, for granting me permission for an advanced copy of this great book!

Be sure to pick up your copy when it becomes available in 2022 or preorder it now!

I enjoyed this so much I read it in less than 24 hours. I really loved the typical "small-town guy who is good with carpentry and other crafts" paired with the really smart doctor lady! I appreciated the break from the typical story where a rich, snobby girl meets and is humbled by the love interest. Yes, Alexis comes from a rich and powerful family. But she is intensely smart and a hardworking doctor who really cares about her loved ones. She is a multifaceted character who undergoes a lot of growth and is recovering from an emotionally abusive relationship. Daniel was amazingly sweet and devoted, and I liked him immediately. He is a great character and I liked that we got to read both of their point of view.
The chemistry and sweet moments between these two just had me in LOVE with them both early on. And the tension when they had disagreements and were struggling over their lives being so different was extremely palpable. I was on the edge of my seat, rooting for their relationship the whole time. I was very invested! Jimenez does an excellent job of crafting a realistic, emotional love story without needing to insert tons of graphic scenes. This book is definitely good for readers who like their romance novels more on the sweet side.
I feel lucky to have been able to read this early! Can't wait for the world to get their hands on this one.

Part of Your World has just knocked Happy Every After Playlist out of place as my favorite Abby Jimenez book.

I could not put this one down and finished it in one sitting. I was immediately drawn into Daniel and Alexis' story. It was engaging, funny, heartbreaking and completely incredible. I laughed so hard I cried and I cried so much that my boyfriend came in to check on me. In just five hours I felt every emotion. I loved the hilarious and fun side characters (Bri, Doug and Hunter). I wanted nothing more than to be in Wakan with them. There is a lot to process but I think Abby handled the topic of abuse in all forms very well and in an accurate light.

This book tackled a lot but made you feel even more. It was heartwarming and magical.

I was lucky enough to score an ARC through NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.
I absolutely love Abby Jimenez’s books. When I heard the title of this one I was so excited, because The Little Mermaid is my favorite Disney movie. I love all things Disney and magic, so I just knew this book was going to be a home-run for me. It did not disappoint. In my opinion this is the best book yet.
As usual, we have our hero and heroine in a situation where it does not look like it’s going to work out. Alexis and Daniel come from different worlds, quite literally.
Alexis just got out of a serious and emotionally abusive relationship. She has high expectations and social circles to live up to. Her parents suck the life out of her, most specifically her dad.
Daniel has been in Wakan his whole life. A small town where everybody knows everybody. He also has an adorable baby goat. He is the Mayor of the town, and everyone depends on him.
Both characters struggles are understandable and relatable. Jimenez also makes sure to develop other characters backstories, and makes their encounters seem realistic. Meanwhile there are other Easter eggs from her other books thrown in, sure to make you smile.
As a survivor of domestic violence, this book made me remember my time with my abusive ex. My abuser was like Neil, narcissistic and mean. It was all very relatable for me. I left him because he cheated on me too. That being said, the book did not trigger me. We accept the love we think we deserve.

Part of Your World was a enchantingly beautiful story to read. It was captivating from the start to finish, as is true to all of Abby's previous titles! I quickly grew attached to Daniel and Alexis' emotional (& physical 🔥🥵) connection! No stone is left unturned with the supporting characters and you even get lovely fairytale vibes coming out of the town of Wakan! Abby did such an amazing job of taking me on an emotional rollercoaster with laugh out loud moments, tears of sadness, frustration and pure happiness. TW - emotional and physical abuse.Overall a beautiful read that I could not put down! Will definitely read again!

I AM UNWELL….I don’t think this is enough of a review but like, if I didn’t review books for a living this would be my review. Onto the full one!

There are very few books I literally drop everything for to read the minute I get it in my hands and this is totally one of them. Abby Jimenez is one of my favorites authors and a complete joy to follow; girlfriend is as funny in real life as she is in her books. The tender kindness, character development and pure humor Abby delivers in all her previous books is all in Part of Your World.

Things I loved: Grilled cheese, baby goats in pajamas and one crazy, but loving, dog. Daniel teaching Alexis how to cook…this was so sweet! Alexis’ friendship with Bri was so honest. An Age-Gap that was done well and such natural chemistry between the two MCs. The small town/found family vibes. The themes of show abuse looks like many different things. The wood-working (I’ve seen this in another book recently and I also loved it). “Grace costs you nothing” is the perfect quote to live by. And the magic of this town!

Things I didn’t care for: It was really sad to see how Alexis’s friends treated her and others…but we got some resolution here. Also, both Alexis and Daniel’s parents were pretty questionable, but you know…we need a villain.

So go request on NetGalley, pre-order and look for at you local library!

So I finished Part of Your World the other day and I just couldn’t even bring myself to write a review yet because whatever I write wouldn’t even do the book justice! I have to say, this is by far my favorite book by Abby Jimenez! It’s a complicated romance, there are Disney AND Grey’s Anatomy nods, there is magic and a baby goat in pajamas! I mean come on a BABY GOAT 🐐! All of these things together might sound so confusing but trust me in saying this book is pure gold and it all ties together and makes perfect sense after you read it.

This story is about Alexis, a 37 year old Doctor from Minneapolis, and Daniel, a 28 year old working class guy from a small town. These two come together after Alexis drives into a ditch to avoid a raccoon and Daniel was there to help tow her out. They have an instant connection that first night but their differences make for a complicated relationship. Their worlds could not be any more different. Small town vs. big city, social divide and age gap. How can these two make a relationship work?

This book had me literally laughing out loud (chapter 25 📸😂) and crying towards the end. I highly recommend reading Part of Your World when it comes out April 2022! It’s the modern day fairytale we all need as adults!

Another Abby Jimenez book? I’m in!!
Read this if you:
*liked Hart of Dixie and Virgin River
*put everyone else besides yourself first
*have ever endured abuse (physical or mental)
*live in MN or IA
*love rom coms that deal with very real & very important topics

Abby has been one of my favorite authors even before I knew she was a local MN author and even before I knew she owned Nadia Cakes (cupcake place in MN). This is her FIFTH book and wow this might just be my favorite yet. This book tackles real issues and was such a wholesome read. This hit VERY close to home with the emotional abuse aspect. From gaslighting & belittling to guilt tripping, and complying to “keep” the peace. Using & hearing phrases such as: I’m too worn out to deal with it, you know how so and so is, etc. Realizing that silence is enabling this behavior.

Fav quote:
“You have been conditioned your entire life to live for everyone else”

I think this quote is beautiful and sums up my own personal journey in 2021, too.

Thank you Abby Jimenez, Forever Publishing & NetGalley for the eARC in exchange for an honest review. I am going to have the biggest book hangover after this book. This book touched my soul. Pub date: April 19, preorder now due to paperback book shortage!

Abby Jimenez’s fourth book, “Part of Your World”, showcases her humor, wit, and ability to captivate the reader in a story with relatable characters, real world issues and animals. Did I mention these animals have endearing personalities and include a baby goat? It will have you cheering and crying for Alexis and Daniel as they navigate their feelings for each other amidst family strife and responsibilities.
I loved the touch of coincidences and whimsical magic that popped up throughout the book and will be rereading it again soon!

This book was written in true Abby fashion, with humor and heart. Like all Abby’s books they center around a serious topic, this one centers around verbal/emotional abuse, with some physical violence being touched on as well. So def take care if you decide to pick up this book. If you have never picked up a Abby book let this be one (and also what are you doing with your life).

I couldn’t put this book down! Part of Your World by Abby Jimenez is funny and heartwarming while also tackling very real, difficult topics with grace.

Alexis and Daniel both come from strong, but very different, family legacies that tie them to their respective locations and keep them from fully giving into their feelings for each other. The chemistry between them is truly magical and I loved seeing them grow as individuals and in their relationship throughout the book.

The town of Wakan and its residents (including adorable animals!) also added so much to the story and gave me Stars Hollow vibes!

Where do I even start? I absolutely LOVED this book. Abby Jiminez continues to blow me away with her likeable, realistic, characters and plotlines I cannot tear myself away from. I devoured this book in just one sitting!

Alexis Montgomery is the Meredith Grey of her hospital. She comes from a high-class world of medicine and the super-rich. Alexis's life isn't perfect, as her parents have decided everything. They've handpicked the job she'll take and the man she'll marry, without ever asking her what she wants in life.

After a last-second stop in a small town, Alexis meets Daniel Grant- the hunky mayor and beloved town carpenter. Their chemistry is out-of-this-world and will have you hoping and wishing they end up together.

Can the two combine their lives? How will city and country make it work? Alexis's time in the small town turns her world upside down as she chooses to become part of his world- or to stay in the place she's destined to be.

If this is not pre-ordered and on your TBR, get moving! You will not want to miss this one!

I loved this novel, Part of Your World by Abby Jimenez. I was laughing on the first page, and crying later in the book with empathy for her characters' resilience and real-life problems. Jimenez does not shy away from the issues of abuse, and handles her characters with grace and compassion. I absolutely love the allusions and foreshadowing included throughout, making the whole thing feel a bit magical and different from her previous novels. She includes differing POV's, which also keep you so invested in each character. Overall, I highly recommend this book if you like to laugh, cry, and feel a deep investment in the happiness of all the characters involved from start to finish.
